Thanks for the great suggestion, its hard comming from a game like WoW, where you hafta spec a certain way to raid,pve,pvp. Its so nice comming to a game with a laid back class choice. Im sure there are the min/max builds, but the general consensus seems that any class/build is good

Both sound like alot of fun! Thanks Marsha_Mellow, might hafta give the demons a try just cause they are new :P One of the reasons we were favoring thugs is cause someone said the 2nd pet has a leadership buff that stacks? I could very easily be wrong lol , Iam a newb

Yeah my wife is a huge fan of the demons lol, i was just worried about good secondaries. Ive heard traps is the way to go and didnt want to end up gimping ourselves. We both love the idea of the heals in the secondary thats why i was worried about traps.

Hey all! Wife and i just started playing when rogue came out (love the game btw). I was curious what would you all reccomend for a duo team, for mastermind gameplay. We were thinking maybe demon/dark? or Thug/dark? We are open to any and all suggestions!
The mastermind gameplay looks like alot of fun, we currently have a duo comp of dual empathy/sonic defender which is a blast : ).

Wow! thank you all for your great ideas!! Its been awhile since we have been apart of a great community (WoWs is pretty brutal). We are currently level 21 with our Emp/Sonic defenders and are having soooo much fun! We just finished the praetorian quest area. We basicly played all day yesterday leveling them we couldnt stop lol. We are both looking forward to trying all those are combos out.

Doh yeah your right! We tryd playing the corrupter and brute, we got to level 10 and my damage felt so worthless (maybe should have went fire?). The brutes damage is incredible, wow! hitting for over 100s at level 10, while my best is 20-30? on my rad/kin corrupter.

We were toying with the idea of going maybe two masterminds also? We have been playing the dual pistols/ rad alot and feel incredibly squishy.. but thats cause we didnt take that area affect -hit debuff. The dual pistols are flashy and cool but, seems kinda to be a let down lol (maybe we should have went fire) Doh! Again, we are open to any and all recomendations. Thanks so far for your help guys

Ok well im gonna go corrupter then, i like the idea of being able to help damage and keep the wife moving and buffed. Now for the main power of corrupter, in City of heroes are there some main powers that do more damage or are they all about the same? Sorry for so many questions guys, the game is soooo overwhelming at start. I cant thank you both enough for all your suggestions and help. thank you thank you

Lol! thanks Kailure, does a corrupter produce alot more damage than say an illusion controller or a fire controller? (heard they are 2 of the higher damage controllers right now)

Thanks Broken! We've been a little overwhelmed with all the class choices we had to fall back onto the forums for help lol. I think my wife is sold on the super strength / stone defense brute (she likes the idea of throwing a giant piece of concrete) lol. Im torn myself between controller or corrupter, just dont want her having to spam the healing inspirations. I love the idea of the corrupter being able to dish out some damage, Also illusion controllers look to have fairly good damage.

Another sidenote, would my wife going brute and if i went controller would i be able to keep her healed enough or should i look at going fulltime healer? Any help would be great.. completely open to any ideas!
