Quote:This. I'd love to see a little more evidence that battles with insane superpowers have just taken place. Obviously, going from a game with a non-destructible environment to one with a wholly destructible environment would be nigh impossible coding wise, but some flames, ice shards, glowing radioactive bodies, and corpses stuck like pincushions would be ideal.I'd like to see more evidence of our attacks on our targets, especially after we've kill- er, arrested them. Ice attacks should leave targets pale and frosted, as well as the enviroment for AoEs. Fire attacks should leave smoke and small fires, and of course, the fire and ice effects should cancel each other out. Electric attacks should leave their targets twitching on the ground. Rad attacks should leave them glowing. Anyone done in by an arrow should be pinned to the wall or nearest object. Sonic attacks should leave them vibrating. Energy attacks should blast them to atoms- um, arrest them to atoms.

Quote:You do realize that the vast majority of content in this game takes place inside instanced missions, correct? This means that people, more often than not, aren't just standing around in zones broadcacsting about their desire to team. They are, more likely than not, hanging around inside missions taking advantage of easy teaming thanks to SSK and enjoying the new difficulty settings. If you're man/woman enough I invite to to come ingame with me RIGHT now or at a time specified and we can both tour the zones and then YOU tell me if we making it up, otherwise, shut up.
Anyway, OP, apologies for the above snark. As others have said, global chat channels are often great fun and excellent tools for teaming, so check those out. And, of course, forming your own teams using the search function is often a very fast way to get a team going and doing the content you want it to. -
Thanks a ton, St0n3y. My builds appreciate your time and effort.

Get well soon, Posi/Dark/Mod08. We need ya'll around here.

My claws/DA main is just absurdly powerful against Carnies. So much so that I specifically run mishes and arcs involving them.
Anyway, DA is a great secondary for Carnies - it has end drain resists along with tons of res to psi damage. Essentially, it's built for Carnie fighting. The claws aspect, while fun, isn't necessary. Any scrapper primary should serve you just fine in terms of putting out damage against them.
Basically: */DA scrapper for ultimate Carnie carnage -
Quote:/signedWhy not Henchmen? And I mean classic Henchmen. Laser cannons, jumpsuits, big bulky helmets and your Tier 3 is an irate, musclebound perfected experiment. Plus you can go /Storm and pretend to have a weather dominator.
This suggestion is made of win... And doesn't necessarily involve S/L damage sets. -
Hmm... I'd go for making the streets more dynamic - people responding when saved, villain groups actually wreaking havoc instead of just standing around threatening some hapless civilian with a bat for hours on end, and so on. Additionally, I'd have GMs spawn more frequently, and rampage through zones, making taking one down something heroes actually care about doing.
Maybe something or other to encourage RP, too. But I'm not too sure just what that'd be. -

I just wish they would release some more information about Going Rogue in general.

Agreed. However, since the intital information was released earlier than intended, it may be a while yet.

"Earlier than intended" only meant a few hours. They still intended to have it go up that day.

Whoop, my bad. >_>
I never really saw an official statement on the matter, just people saying it had been put up earlier than it was meant to be. -

Probably claws. It's long been vaunted as the highest DPS set of the scrapper primaries, and just got a few animation changes to augment that. However, unless you get to know and love your attack chain and slot yourself out well, it may not feel quite like the carnage it has the potential to be.
BS is primarily burst damage, and is up there in terms of heavy hitters of the scrapper primaries. DB and Kat are middle of the road somewhere, but Kat can be vicious in terms of DPS as proved by good folks like Werner. So it's a tossup between Kat and claws, really. Depends on how you want to build.
