Bah, thinking is overrated.

I think there's been some misunderstanding here. I'm not proposing to restrict AE TO level 25 and up, I'm saying that someone has to get at least ONE character up to level 25 on their account before AE access is granted. Then if they wanted to, they could roll up a new level 1 and jump into AE right that moment.

That's what I was saying.

That's why I suggested unlocking access on the account until you get a character to a certain level. Then people can still USE AE in Atlas, Galaxy, etc. but not until they've "played the normal game" a bit.

I think removing those buildings from those zones will just cause the newbies to go to the other zones to get to them.

When people can't team with others because they are using AE and those people don't have access to AE, they will do one of two things:

1) Play the first 25 levels normally and learn the game or...

2) Make the CONSCIOUS decision to be powerlevelled to level 25 to unlock it.

And if they choose to be power leveled to unlock AE, well then they get what they deserve if they still don't know what they're doing.

The solution is simple. You know how EATs unlock at level 50, right?

Well, don't allow a new account to access AE until they get any single character to at least level 25. I think that's fair, and will give them time to learn the game. And I think 25 is just fine to open up access to AE.

Once you get a character to 25, then AE is unlocked for the whole account.

Well, if you're planning on having Force Bubble up "most of the time", you could probably drop Repulsion Field and pick up another power that you could slot for +Recharge instead. But if you're only using Force Bubble "sometimes", then yeah, I'd keep RF, it's just too awesome.

If you need to move some slots around to add more recharge, PFF is just fine all by itself, you could just leave the +Recharge special IO there in the "free slot" and move the other two slots somewhere else where you might need them. It already gives PLENTY of Defense (75% to all and the "soft cap" is 45%) all by itself.

I see no glaring omissions with your primary.

One of my major purposes in posting is to hopefully make at least one person out there smirk. And I also use the shotgun method. If I post enough inanity often enough, eventually by the law of probability, SOMEONE will be smiling SOMEWHERE.

That, and I laugh at myself, a LOT. So as long as it at least makes ME smile, I'm happy.

I'll put in some more updates myself in about a week or so. I have a personal vacation planned and I also need to rewrite some code in FOE to get it working the way I want to before I do more of the "salvaging".
