  1. 1) Terrorize, Mass Sleep, and all your single target holds if managed correctly and use appropriately can be more than enough to help out the team between those "long" cool downs. Im sitting pretty at 217% recharge right now, and in no way is that depressing.

    2) Domination is your best friend on the new TFs. Any perma Dominators can solo the sewers on the Apex and with confuse even faster. Doms have been doing it better for years when built right.

    3) Never. Dominators/Controllers are very much needed. They can put some mobs at bay until your team is ready to handle them. When I see an ambush Mob attack on lets say Tin Mage when fighting Director 11, you can sleep the mob, and start single target holding the ones you might have missed, then wait for Mass Confusion or Total Domination, while having TK on Director 11 so you are totally not missing out on the action.

    They are great, you just have to get the right build for yourself.
  2. Welcome to Dominators MachineSlave, sounds like you have two questions though.

    I could not imagine how a Fire/Kinetics Controller is not fun, but I have always been an avid Dominator player. Depending on what you want to heavily invest in, you can create various subs sets of Dominators that vary between Damage to Control. My first Dominator when Villains came out was a Mind/Ice. So much fun and good when I was pvping. I really dont have much experience using Ice Sword Circle, but its helps generate Domination when you dont wanna disturbed villains or dont have a snipe.

  4. Id say go Tri-Form till your about level 40. Just my thought. I recently got my Warshade to 50. He was sitting there in his mid 30s for years. Wish I would have done it sooner.
  5. Interesting thread. Its awesome think about all the changes over the years I have experienced (loved and hated) the ones I mostly hated was the PvP changes. Keep in mind this is all my own (PoV)

    PvP was the reason that kept me in the game. I felt like I did everything maybe around the time of i6/i7. Pretty much had my hand in everything. Ive been hear since Beta for CoH (on a different account) but I was there. Ive been on the forum since the day CoH the concept was released and there was no game. Ive seen it all, but PvP by far has been a disappointment. (All Out Base Raids or 8v8 matches are my thing)

    PvPers (way back when they were around) had an attitude about their realm that pretty much went, "If you cant handle it, get out!" and that was pretty much it because there was really no need for those that could not keep up to be around. Those 'useless' people were just slowing down the rest. Sure it took me hours upon days to actually because an experienced practitioner of PvP, but everyone has got to start somewhere.

    There really was no benefit to PvP, just bragging rights. So the normal player that has no knowledge of:

    PvP groups, the lingo, all the powers as a whole, what ventrilo/team speak are, base raids, or anything else associated they are not going to be part of it, they just dont have the patience or the time because they got to IOs/Infamy,Influence/XP and all those other goodies that give you something for your time.

    In the past it was really a game of skill and playing with the numbers to get characters the way you want them. Sure some characters were worthless, but that happens in any game. They had to take control somehow.

    The Devs sorta just sat on it until I dont know, (this is a wild example) maybe they tried to PvP and were getting beat at their own game, who knows. There was no Universality. Not every individual, random, regular a** player with a level 40ish character, could just jump into Recluses Victory from just leaving Pocket D after an RPing session (and I am not dissing RP just proving a point) run in and KS 5 times, take over 3 pylons with a few friends (or even a pick up group), not die, get a few solo take downs and be able to snack on chips and soda. That just doesnt happen. So I think they just simplified. So I understand.
  6. Us tanks are useless unless we cross breed. Makes sense right? Making great of the epics is the only way to do good. The reason my Stone/SS and a MA/SR beat a MA/Regen and Ice/Nrg blaster was because I had Char. Is that fair? No way. Taunt didnt do anything.
