  1. Here is another example:

    Without Ambient Occlusion

    With Ambient Occlusion

  2. Since the patch today I am having a new graphics issues that causes this giant boxing/digitalizing of the edges of objects.

I think, in some way, it is tied to Ambient Occlusion, since I noticed it decreases considerably when I turn down Ambient Occlusion, but it doesn't go away entirely. This issue popped up today, after this morning's patch.

  3. I was eyeballing a few recipes - Very Rare Recipes - at the trashcan in the Crucible, for which I would need 20 merits.

    20 merits x $20,000,000 = $400,000,000

I instead bought both recipes off of the Black Market for $40mil, total, and the salvage cost an additional $30mil.

So, $70mil vs $400mil (and not including the costs of salvage & creation).

So, the Villain/Hero merits aren't worth it, really. Not for $20mil to make.

The second time, we were unable to enter the second part. We could not see the progress of the other two teams at the obelisks.

I was reminded why Warburg nukes are off limits to me as well. No mezz protection in PvP zones, and I am unable to approach the scientists on any character with an aggro aura, which includes my chief badge characters and any character I'll be interested in doing this with.

I fear that by the time this is fixed, no one will want to run it any more. Frustration with highly choreographed, easy-to-fail endgame raids has led me to quit more than one game.
It is possible you were splintered off into separate instances in your second run. We had that problem pop up on Beta and on Live too, from what I've heard.

I would prefer a more fun CoP, though. I'm not a monster.
How about an all emp defender CoP run?
  7. If the mobs at least droped inspirations...
  8. Yes. You can't join if you're a Hero or Vigilante.
  9. I plan to have a few in the "gray" area, but I definitely want to bring my Troller Redside.

None of my villains are reedemable.

You just wouldn't be able to lead a team with that toon Unless you were running it with your SG

Thank you! What toon were you thinking of bringing? Remember to meet in Pocket D and to join the global channel: "Victory CoP"

3 Team Leaders were on Vent- It helped to coordinate when to take the obelisks.
    2 'shielders' per team- FF/Colds.
Lots of debuffers (again here is where colds are nice).
Tanks that are WP/stone(maybe shield)- we ended up with 4 tanks all WP iirc.
Scrappers are great as damage dealers because they have mez protection.

As far as nukes/shivans/Heavies- When all was said and done only 4 bio-nukes were dropped and 1 or 2 chems. We did have a lot of Vanugard Heavies out, I counted at least 10 when we were done, and a few shivans shuffling around.

We dropped pets(most of us) then stacked team aura buffs at the door (RAs/AM) then split into 3 groups once the shields were down we converged on Ru' and spawned the rest of the pets and dropped 3 Bio nukes and the chem(s). We were not able to get him the 1st go around so we cleared the cubes again and the second time we converged we dropped 1 bio nuke and he was finished off rather fast.

18 minutes- 2 badges, 6 merits and a temp power.
Do you remember the temp power options were?

I haven't gotten a total confirmed list yet of what the end rewards truly are as of now (Live) since it was only successfully completed once in Beta, back in May I believe, and some things have changed then.

Castle has also remarked that he was asked the Rewards Committee to look into increasing the rewards for the Cathedral of Pain.

Only the team leaders of each team need to be in the same SG/VG.

We tried running it once with a team leader in a coalitioned SG and it caused the missions to spawn multiple instances that people were randomly assigned to.

That's why I suggest on the first time the shield goes down for an obelisk for a team to beat it down to 10hp or so and maintain that until the other two obelisk are within the same health range. The next time the shield is down to defeat it, giving the other two a 35 second window to defeat theirs as well.

You want to wait until you see something approximately like this:

    Gloom: 17hp
    Woe: 23hp
    Despair: 8hp

Once all three obelisks are within that health range, it is worth to take your obelisk down, giving the other two to expose and defeat theirs within that 35 second window.
  16. Ran this tonight, Blueside on Victory. It worked having each team beat their obelisks down to around 15 hp on the first shield down, and then defeating on the second shield down. We were into the Cathedral within 20 minutes.

Once inside, rather than moving around in one giant group, we split up and each team took a cube. That also helped get the barrier down quickly.

But Ruladak regens WAY TOO FAST.
  17. I also created a global channel "Cathedral of Pain" on live for anybody that wants to discuss and/or organize CoP runs.
  18. Also, added the global channel to use: Victory CoP
