Though, as usual, the initial crush of people cramming in as much as possible in the first few days, combined with lower playing population during the holidays, interest quickly dwindled overall. Maybe with an extra "normal" week, can get some more realm fights. When the numbers are there, it's a fun distraction from the norm.
Beating down the big guy with 10 whopping people was great too. -

Hell of a lot of "sleeper" type-movies/shows/characters have come out in the last few years. They've been around for a long time, but fairly recently have made a pretty good surge. -

I think stalker was something I tried a demo of, or maybe a pre-release beta of, where I ran around in very pretty tall grass/flowers/bushes for half an hour without seeing a god damn thing. I wasn't entirely sure what type of game it was. There might have been a tower or some such off in the distance I was running toward, but no idea if it was something to interact with/hide from something with/jump off of to end my suffering/etc.

Thanks for those that joined. After many promises of personal favors, we got this off and actually around the time I intended to boot.
8 Defenders consisting of about 12 Dark somethings and some other stuff. Not a single kin which I figured spelled doom :rollseyes: and Cold is just crazy overkill.
Thinking of Khan next week. Should be shortish. Hopefully interst from the forum will pick up? -

BurningBear - Yeah, I think we did start awhile after 930. If you were hovering over Mr. Imp, I'm pretty sure I sent a tell but never got a reply. You were gone a couple minutes after that though.
I'd love to *start* at 9PM, but I just don't think it's ever going to happen. I can't get on before then and get everyone joined to actually start at that point. The closest I can shoot for is 930PM, and that's with me getting on sometime after 9 and hoping there is enough interest/people ready to go. It usually goes a lot faster if the interested parties use the forums then relying on PUG/Globals. Once the team is full, it's on.
Again, I don't think this Saturday is going to go any faster, but hopefully after that, it'll be more fluid. -
Did wind up doing the ITF, but between tells and PMs, the all-defender aspect fell through due to various obstacles. Was a split mix of 3 Defenders and 3 Corrs, with a Brute running amok. I got use to playing the Defender again, and it wound up being a pretty quick run without being/trying for a speed run.
So the Defender ITF is still up for grabs, but will see what interest there is in a Defender LGTF this Saturday. Again, if the holidays put a damper on it, will push it off for the following week.

I think I hate you both a little more now......
Talk about deja vu all over again. It would let me sign into the support section, but would not accept the EXACT SAME INFORMATION for the store section. Had to download the virus software, redo login information 5 times before it "stuck", and then had to purchase through the virus program because the web site would not let me do it from the cart/store.
Pretty much exactly how I remember things, what is it, 8+ years ago now, when the damn thing went into beta. I think the system remembered me and just wanted to **** with me for old time sake. -
Ugh steam. Long, ugly history and don't want to use it again :S
Do I just install that crap, buy the architect upgrade, download/apply the code and never use steam again? -

It's not so much looking down on Defenders, I just don't care for them to try to solo with. A lot like Corrs now too. In teams, playing as one or having them baby sit me, I like em lots. <3 Defenders. -
Not a new idea by any means, but want to see if there is interest* in doing a few more Defender-only TFs for at least a few weeks. I finally brought over the one I think I'd actually play again, so want to run him through his paces.
Thinking of Fridays or Saturdays, around 9PM EST. This Friday being Xmas, how about Saturday? Can figure out a "better day" after the holidays.
Thinking of starting with the tried and true ITF. See how that goes with interest, then do the other higher end TFs first. If we're still going, maybe more of the traditional ones. I hear the Sewer trial is fun and easy >.>
If more than 8 are interested, that's great.....More teams! If not, either try with whatever we have, or break down and see if we can get some fillers. But I'm sure we can fill out at least one team. There is no "must do all of them" mentality if you sign up for one. It's a week-by-week case.

*Interest implicitly implies that you can put up with Voodoo for the length of the TF and have a Defender you are wanting to bring along. Fun is implied, but not guaranteed. YMMV -
As I said, I think it's multi-part.
1) To give an incentive for people to stick around for GR who may have been on the fence due to server limitations and weren't paying for transfers. The costs for this are far outweighed by GR consumptions.
d) To get a feel for server popularity and possible server changes with GR (maybe just in general). Probably more of a hardware standpoint than a "popularity" contest, but who knows.
^o^) A nice little QoL present to combine the two above. -

Want to run either Manticore or Numina at the posted time. I don't really have any preference, but need both done either way. If a majority is interested, that'll be the course. -

I will say that debuff is essential, mainly the -RES variety. You can throw all the damage you want at it, but you'll barely make it if at all in the time limit without debuffs going. Had 2 full teams of mostly blasters/tanks/scrappers going at it and we managed to get him down to around 25% HP before the time ran out. Did not see much, if any, debuff going at that time.
The other encounters were more varied and much much quicker/easier.
Curious if a maximized team can do it alone. I would imagine so if given enough time, just not sure the given time would be enough. -
And back on topic.......
Think PERC could make a contest out of "What server should Voodoo go to?". I envision mass server battles of "Well we don't want him either!" Or see which one could raise enough funds to pay me to stay and continue the drag on Victory. A special gold title just for me: "Ha ha [insert server name here] got me". Fun for all ages.
Otherwise I could look into a closer located server for a pending move of my own. Otherwise part deux, I have 4 guys I haven't logged in to for 300+ days that can easily be shipped off. But then I have 3 or 4 others I'd like to bring over since I think I'd actually play them. It's just too bad GR is still far off. This doesn't really goose my gander overall.
