  1. Thank you for creating a vacation for those of us who have no time to take an r/l one.

Thank you for the O2 boost to my creative cortex.

  2. Reads very like a sports column to me. Take this with however large a grain of salt you like. (I don't much like sports other than figure skating, equestian and gymnastics, and I probably won't participate in PVP unless my challenger promises to answer my tactic of dropping to my knees and weeping with hugs). I say GJ, Gilgamesh!

  3. The Cogs harvest scrap and junk, so if "Junkyard Dog" isn't taken, that's appropriate.

FYI - I'm a HUGE kaiju fan (giant monsters).

I collect all the figs, the theatrical posters, etc.

I've got Godzillas from the past two movies all around my office. And a Godzilla: Final Wars mousepad (theatre only).

Hey Statesman! I got to touch the stop-motion Willis O'Brien King Kong armature! (Alas, poor Kong's padding and fur is long since crumbled away).

  5. Bracing myself, here...I am (yes, really) a pro sf/f fantasy writer (and moderators feel free to email me and I will verify this to your satisfaction). I just started playing this game two weeks ago ("Hi, my name is VickieVee and I'm a CoH addict." "Hi Vickie."), and because I am a storyteller in rl, I naturally lean towards incorporating story and backstory into my gaming.

I know there are a lot of other people out there who feel the same, but some of you also feel intimidated when presented with the blank bio box. I would like to help you get your ideas out of your subconscious (yes, they really are there) and into words. I've done some test-runs on Virtue of helping people out (over 5 satisfied customers!) and it seems to work well. Above all, it's given the people I've helped out a lot of satisfaction, which is my sole intent. I'm not doing this for profit, to shill my rl work, to garner great huge steaming heaps of Influence, or anything else. I like doing this because I never get to do superhero fiction in real life, because I love this game and the people who play it are amazingly considerate and kind, and because it gets people involved in the creative process for themselves, (which is always a rush, and makes them happy, which makes me happy).

It's a simple process, a meet-up, and a series of leading questions to bring what your character is out into the sunlight. If you have a character more or less blocked out, but also a writers' block, I may be able to unstick you. What I can't and won't do is read or critique your fiction; sorry about that, but my agent has already been involved in one "you stole my idea!" debacle involving another of his clients a while back, and has threatened to make any of us who read unsolicited fiction into galley slaves. Since I don't fancy spending my declining years fastened to an oar.....

At any rate, if you would like some help, give me a buzz at victoriavictrix at gmail dot com and we'll see if we can't get some word-magic happening for you.
