Try a Fire/Rad Controller...

Pretty darn close to the same amount of end-draining carnage as a Fire/Dark Corrupter.

I already have far too many Fire Blast characters, which is why this version of Valk is a Controller.

They look normal to me... the green glow in the first (I'm betting) is Transfusion. Add to that the gloominess that is Croatoa and it tends to make for good-looking screenies.

In-game bio: Twin sisters Alexa and Sara were always rivals, both very different and extremely competitive. Neither would know how a exploration trip through Norway would change their lives.

During a bad storm, the twins stumbled upon an ancient and strange cave, filled with fire and ice. Drawn by the magic of the cave, each girl went down a separate tunnel: Alexa, to the fire, while Sara was drawn to the ice. Each eventually came upon mysterious altars at the ends of the tunnels and began hearing melodious voices. Their souls were awakened... souls of Valkyries, hidden for generations, waiting for the perfect time.

These Valkyries were rivals as well, each feeding off the positive or negative energy of the twins, changing them, giving them powers. The twins battled - Sara's darkness had been so powerful she no longer worried about harming Alexa. Each barely survived to run away. Alexa made her way to Paragon, becoming a hero, unaware of the much darker path her assumed-dead sister chose...

(And I am now further reminded that I need to finish writing up their story... >_&lt

It might have something to do with ownership conflicts. Yes, NCSoft/Cryptic do have legal ownership of the characters created in CoX (if I undersand the EULA correctly), but the artists also claim ownership of the artwork. That usually includes a statement along the lines of "unauthorized use or reproduction of artwork is prohibited" or some such. So then what you'd have is NCSoft/Cryptic asking for permission from artists to display artwork of characters owned by the company.

Apparently that sort of thing is bad. I dunno why, maybe the lawyers are scared it'll cause a rip in the space-time continuum that will consume the planet or something.

Yue Shi (Warshade) In-game Bio:

Yun Xing (Falling Star) came to me so long ago, that the centuries have long since blended together in my memories. He wanted a chance at a new life, away from the war of his kind, to merge with a willing host. He found me, a quiet girl, living alone in a small village not far from Xian.

He was disgusted with his kind and saw a chance to change things by coming to Earth, where all Nictus enemies were slowly beginning to gather. He felt drawn to my energy and sensed the peace in my heart. His crystal blocked the full moon as he came to me, a strange eclipse that frightened and entranced me. I was surprised at the voice that sang in my ears, telling me of merger and greater things we could do together, greater things we have done together in the centuries since then.

We are now in Paragon, the front line of the Kheldian War. Yun Xing can no longer stand on the sidelines nor can I. We fight as the merged Warshade Yue Shi now.

(Yue Shi is Chinese for Lunar Eclipse)

But there were only four rewards for the Winter mission and last year, there was only one reward for the Valentine's mission. As long as it's repeatable, badgers will run it. They did it last year during this event.

It's weird for them to change after that.

Why couldn't the Toga have been tied to the Heart of Light/Darkness badge? And Partygoer tied to the Hearts costume? This was done for the Winter Event.

Very very good point and definitely something for the Devs to think about for next year and future events in general.

Honestly, I had a ton of fun last year. That being said, I only earned Beautiful on two characters last year, but I got Heart of Light on almost *EVERY* single alt.

I just didn't have the patience to run those missions so many times to get everything. I got everything on a few characters, but that was it. And it's not like we did it the hard way in most cases... we'd get someone's lowbie alt and one-shot Snaptooth. Even then, I really didn't have the urge to work through everything more than a few times.

I even tried to be a big ole badge hound and get those badges for the CoV CoT baddies (why don't we have them hero-side? I don't get that one), but I got sick of that pretty quick, and damn if it wasn't hard to find teams for that.

I think having to fight Snaptooth so many times for the Winter Event didn't help either.

In all, it really could have used a re-visit. It's nice to get co-op missions, but forced co-op is a bit annoying. Even though co-op wasn't required for the Winter missions, we did a lot of mixing amongst my friends/SGs.
