Since the 10th was my birthday, and you announced it then..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! Awesome present. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
Seriously, this is one of the best announcements I've seen. The AV/Hero missions on the COV side in the earlier levels are very frustrating. This is a HUGE improvement and allows for every type of play style. The stealth thing never appeared 'broken' to me in the first place and everyone loves new clothes! You're 3 for 3 with this one! -
My husband and I have been gaming together for several years. It started with me watching him play and then I secretly got my own game and began playing. First time he realized ingame the person he was playing with was me was pretty funny.
Since then we've been going strong through several different games.
Now we play COV together every night. We don't always team together but it's still nice to have someone in the same room playing the same game you are to talk to about it.
Couples who game together, stay together. See, he can't get mad at me for being on my computer too long and vise versa. Works great! -
Deathshead Briagde
We started out five years ago as a counter strike clan, moved on to Condition Zero, Day of Defeat, Counter Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source and City of Heroes ( VOICES OF PARAGON ). Now we are adding COV to our list.
The website has not been updated yet to reflect the latest addition but feel free to visit our forums and ask about membership or send an ingame mail or tell to @VOICE OF MERCY or any SG member seen online.
Rules are simple..... No power levelling. Rudeness/griefing to other members or players is not tolerated. Have fun!
We don't always play together, we don't always play every day, we do make use of our SG chat quite often, we do help each other out with missions and such. No costume or name requirements other than don't be obscene. We are not interested in PVP as an SG at the moment (ie: Base Raids). Although several members like to venture into the PVP zones at random.
We currently have 21 members with plenty of room for more. -
I have several empathy characters and this is a very good guide to follow. You've hit the nail on the head with this one!
A few people have mentioned key binds which could be a huge help also. I don't use key binds myself but I have a few macros set up (Out of end!, Gather for RA, etc.) and I keep my team window directly above my power bar with my heal buttons on the top row. It's a simple matter to hit a name and move the mouse down slightly for the heal. I tend to "lead" my heals in certain teams. In other words, I pay attention to what my team mates are doing. The scrapper running in ahead of the tanker gets highlighted first.... just in case. Or the blaster or controller that leads off with an AOE sometimes gets a heal immediatly following just as the return fire hits (which has saved a few hides).
As far as 'topping off' goes, it depends on the situation. If we're doing fine and have a few seconds before the next round, I will top off. I like to see everyone full on green. But if it is a frenzied atmosphere and I may need every ounce of end I can get, then no I'll save it.
I was on a full team couple weeks ago doing a croatoa mission (protect the portal for 15 minutes). Everything was conning red to most of us. Lots of deaths in that one, including my own. At one point I appologized profusely as I felt being the healer the fault was mine since nobody was playing badly. I was pleasantly surprised when the entire team told me I was doing an awesome job and saving butt most of the time. The mission was just extremely difficult (including two nictus crystals and numerous voids) and even against the odds, we survived. So by the time it was over, everyone was out of debt and pretty dang proud of ourselves.Healers are appreciated for their skill and not just their death ratios!
