Two, I like to think we are special here at Cryptic.

Well good luck to ya, sincerely. While I personally think that your efforts could have been better spent elsewhere, I'm sure there are people who really, really want to play a stealth assasin.
For my own interest, what's the balance metric? (hopefully it's not something like, 'when the flood of malcontent slows to river of malcontent' or 'when we're tired of trying to balance it'). For me, this underlines the difficulty of the problem - I can't even think of a metric that you would use to determine when a class with stealth and cannon is balanced with another class in PvP. -
Please just fire whatever designer thought a glass-cannon-stealth class would be a good idea.
This has be done in at least 3 other MMOs and it does nothing but generate neverending posts like this one.
Cryptic designers: You aren't special. You aren't going to find the magic combo that makes people like getting ganked by something that have not detected.
These classes only generate hard feelings between players. This is a colossal waste of time and development resources. -

IMO, just replace it with something useful and more tankery, or leave it alone.

Amen to that, fire tanks now have one useless power (temp protection), 2 now-near-useless powers (burn and fiery embrace) and a top level power that we have to die to use (rise of the phoenix). Half this set kinda sucks (maybe I shouldn't complain about that, it lets me focus on my attack powers).
Shorten the animation time, and have it remove immob and add +res knock down/knockback. I don't want it to do damage if it causes fear. Come to think of it, this would make it somewhat less useless for my fire/fire blaster as well. -
This doesn't seem to have the intended effect of increasing blaster survivability. I suggest adding, in addition to the damage increase, a defense versus ranged attack buff that is dependent upon the blaster not attacking.
After the blaster takes damage, the damage and ranged defense buff is applied. As long as the blaster doesn't attack, the ranged defense buff holds, as soon as he/she attacks, the defense buff drops.
This would give the blaster some measure of defense during that period of time while the tank tried to the get the mob(s) back under control (or the blaster runs). -
DevX
"who is the mysterious DevX, and why does he bear a striking similarity to Rex Dev, missing half-brother of Speed Ra... er, the Statesman?"
