I think the next go will be post-I19, when the AV is twinked down. It was another repeat of last week's run: Zero issues clearing the obelisks (with a mild problem on timing for the first attempt) or the cube spawns, but dropping the AV was near-impossible.
I'd suggest amending raid notes on this to prep for a complete and utter "HIT HIM WITH EVERYTHING" blitz as soon as the shields drop. The drop period is too short, and he heals/attacks when shielded, making your efforts marginal at best.
I KNOW blueside raids go a lot smoother though. It's funny, because there were a lot of hero builds on this raid too (my team had a token corruptor and brute).
Thanks to Ghoul Slayer / the Venu Sovereignty for hosting this attempt, for the SG access and for Ventrilo access! -
You know I want in.
Dr. Turgenev, illusion/storm controller, appropriately evil and ready for the task.

Just chiming in: I get incredible GPU fan spin-up on my new XPS Studio 8100 when I'm zoned in COH. (ATI 5770 1gb, i7 proc, 8GB RAM on Win7 64-bit). There's a nice ATI core monitor you can get as a widget that I used to watch my fan spin up. Goes from around 1350rpm idle to almost double that when actually zoned in.

Well, most of the activity I'm seeing these days is in Cap, Sharks and Grandville. St. Martial not as much, and Mercy/Oakes are really just stepping stone zones unless you're doing a SF. Oh, and Ouroboros because it's a natural crossroads for people 25+.

Dunno. I do fine villainside right now for finding teams with my fallen hero, but I'd expect a large portion of players are taking their mains to the opposite side for new teaming opportunities. Now that we have a "third" side in NP, that has to be considered too. I know you said that NP/Imperial was very slow, but what time are you seeing this? When I login to my lowbies in the east coast evenings (9pm-12am), NP and Imperial are busting (NP's laggy for all the heroes I see regularly).
Granted, I have my own networks of players so I can always find a team, but even when I'm not tapping into those lists, I don't hurt for company redside. -
I'll be there. Dr. Turgenev, Illusion/Storm Controller. IO'd up, have nukes and Shivans, HVAS, Snowbeast, Rikti Dro- okay, stopping there... and TS2/TS3/Vent/Skype if you guys wanna take it to voice comms for coordination. Contact info is in my sig, or PM me here.

Good times last night, got two levels outta it for the dom I'm growing.
Thanks for hosting, E!

Quote:Shush you, I do great vs AVs on Rex. :P Ultima's pretty good too, but I'm inclined to agree that Rex would be the better choice for a Master run. I'll roll whatever we need that evening.Turg on melee is rarely a good idea on a Master run. However, I think I have seen you die more on Ultima. So maybe you should go with Rex.
(So are you evil yet with Tux or what?) -

Valid toons include:
Ultima Ratio Regum (BS/SD Scrapper)
Rex Majestic (Energy/SD Tanker)
Both melee types, so pick your poison. -
Well, that explains the smell. I thought it was just metalhead on one of his villains.
Glad you're digging the server, Imbalmer. My SG isn't actively recruiting (although we're a bunch of mature yet sprightly troublemakers), but I know of more than a few Justice players who've come over to the Freedom playground. You can try those communities first, or you can also give the Freedom Horde a run - it's less of a SG/VG more than a collection of really chill players who get together near-daily to do some really terrific things.
Look 'em up, it's my best recommendation for someone who's willing to step up and be counted amongst Freedom culture. Cheers.

Quote:If we're oversold, you can have my seat, Luna (and Morna can have yours, and so on, et cetera). I did this arc last night rather unexpectedly.Since you are so oversold Mr E, please take me off the list. I'm already a 48 on LadyNocturne, and I can spend the time working on other toons I'm trying to switch sides with.
Good luck everyone! Catch you next time =)It's not a "need" for me now, so feel free to take it over.

Still reviewing which toon to bring. Will answer soon.

Terrific teaming, everyone.
Great showing from all who attended! Nice job with the radiation goodness, FRadders!

I'm just amazed that it's gone on for this long without being addressed. ;( It's a typo. No gameplay is harmed. No balances are unbalanced. No costumes have been nerfed. But seriously, GIVE ME the text files and I'll spellcheck every single one of them. It's just embarrassing.
...if they were coy about it and had Malaise say, "Viscious? They're slow and sweet? My kinda criminals. Shouldn't you wear more than feathers? You look cold."... then I'd laugh for a month straight. -

Quote:Villains aren't like maple syrup. Can someone please fix this before I bust a brain vein? I've bugged this since day one.
[NPC] Swan: We all know what's going down. One of our Longbow island bases was attacked by a gang of viscious criminals from the Rogue Isles, and they got ahold of our security codes!
(The "ahold" is also wrong, but viscious is even more wrongier.)
Oh, and this is for mish 4 of the LRSF, when you get to Swan's cutscene. -
Okay, using Ultima Ratio Regum (broadsword/shield scrapper) as my toon for this run.
-
Yes. Dr. Turgenev, Illusion/Storm, please.

I do when I'm on Champion. That was a funny five minutes when Cobalt nominated me as raid leader, and I make my first call... and see them go in totally the OPPOSITE direction. Seems they go clockwise from Du Hoc...

Update: Well, this is interesting. I'm seeing Fog of War corruption on my Praetorian toons too. (i.e., not an issue with hitting the cap, but something else?) I'd previously explored about 40% of Novo Praetoria, but hadn't logged that toon in for about 5 days. Logged in last night, and instead of the normal blotch pattern showing where I'd been... it looked like something had made it into tiger stripes across the zone, like if you take a ball of Play-Do and then twisted it about 180 degrees... VERY weird. The toon continues to open the map normally, but "something" seems to be going on with the fog that might be beyond the unveiling cap...
Anyone else seen this? Log in a newer toon that's just exploring a zone, and see how the map looks... -
Buddy of mine submitted a /petition on this. The form he was sent basically stated "It is currently not awarding and is being looked into", but the text of it was essentially a low priority.
I think the issue needs to be addressed before the next issue. It'll take that long for the badgers to get all the day jobs. -
Quote:Count on me. I'll be there. Toon TBA, but something appropriately AOE-destructive.I'm hoping we can get 2-3 runs in on Monday night. I would also like to have maybe 2 more people I can call on to form teams if we have a lot of people show up? Any volunteers? Also, can someone act as the pylon caller? I'm usually so swamped at getting the teams organized, that I don't know how good I would be at that.
Thanks everyone!I'll also step up for pylon caller/team leader, sure.

Kiori:
Thank you for the kind words.Welcome back to COH! And yes, I'll be posting when the last two acts of "Ghost" are finally ready. I keep saying "soon"... and yet, I keep playing instead...

Voice comms aren't an issue for me. TALKING can be, depending on the time of night, but realistically, only the team leads need to be doing the chatter anyway.
Time for a signup sheet for VoIP-capable redside players to get this one done? I have a Chem nuke reacquired and waiting for orders.
