I really need to round up my SG mates one weekend and run it on Relentless/Invinicble sometime. I've done it so many times on Heroic/Villainous that I'm hungry for a challenge. Probably will need to stock up on +ToHit/-Def stacking though to speed through it faster.

Any competent team that that has enough non-control damage mitigation (sleep being the exception on the control front). I've had a team or two that failed because our Support/Tanks dropped or D/Ced before the final encounter and we couldn't survive long enough to down Romulus even once, even with the break LoS strategies.

Until you factor in Benumb, Snow Storm, Infrigidate, Heat Loss, Sleet, Arctic Fog, and Frostworks. Cold as an entire set completely beats out Forcefields by a large margin.

I've done this 15 times now on live(5 fails in the beginning). My best method of finishing the nicti is dont aggro the AVs, target the healer(if your facing Romi , healer is on left) everyone with a range attack of 80 ft or more take out the healer. Once hes down and stun wears off we all rush romi 3 times. He drops stuff the nicti do not. Its been said before and there are many diff ways to do this, but I use this one and it works well for me.

Not when they are claiming their method that takes significantly longer and for far less rewards is the "Best" method. Killing Romulus 4 times and ignoring the nictus completely is shorter, more rewarding and far more efficient.

You've done it 15 times wrong then.

depends heavily on team composition:

if you have a tanker/brute that can taunt the spawn essences then sleep the mire essence first.

if you have a lot of ranged then sleep the Spawning essence first.

healing essence should always be 2nd or 3rd on the To-Sleep list.

Did you take a screenshot of the resistance values? They don't show in the posted screenshot.

And I agree with a previous poster, it looks like sleep could nullify the nicti, making the "shoot rom x4" strategy pretty straightforward.

Do the Nictus enjoy the Purple Triangles? Do they have any Status Effect Resistance ? If not, it seems a single target sleep could seriously trivialize the encounter.

Nictus don't have purple triangles they are simply superbuffed

P.S. Purple Triangles protect versus all status but immobilize and sleep for 50 mag.
