    I've got nothing to say on the subject that wasn't covered on the first page, but I'd like to go on record as supporting a tweak to the GM reward levels. They are absolutely pathetic right now.

    To answer the thread title: Yes. Bases are obsolete. It sucks, but that's the truth of the matter. Bases provide no compelling functions to justify going to one. Beyond beautification and storage (which, as others have pointed out, has limited usefulness) purposes, they are entirely useless. The merger of the monorail lines and the Rogue Isle ferries was the final nail in the coffin.

    Bases are useless now. It really sucks, too, because having a secret lair is awesome.

    This thread inspired me to go out and be nice to some newbies, so I hit up Nova Praetoria on Freedom. I met a lot of surprisingly fun people, and it only cost me 25,000,000 (1M to each character I met with an interesting costume).

    I should be nice more often!

    That's exactly why it's never going to happen, not without another paid expansion at least. Even then, it would only be for the new content.

    Fire/Rad Corruptor

    This is my first "high-end" build for a corruptor, based on Ian's Guide to an Awesome Fire/Rad Corr. It's been tweaked to account for updates, and my own personal taste.

    Could someone give me a bit of feedback, or suggestions?

    Anybody know if one exists? I'm plotting something devious with an Ubuntu rig and Compiz's CubeGears plugin.

    (I'd make one myself, but I fail especially hard at modeling)
