I agree with Fulmens 100%

And that is your personal prefernce. I think everyone agrees it isn't a mandatory power.

My god!! They ARE right!! How dare we have an RP thread on the forums for the RP server!!! For god's sake!! What were we thinking??!!??!!
[/ QUOTE ]
There is no RP server, just people who RP.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes and most of them come to Virtue to do their RP-ing, so that makes it the unofficial RP server.
[/ QUOTE ]
The majority of this server does not RP from what I have seen. RP tolerant or friendly maybe a better term -

Trans no one is purposely ignoring people. The conversations move kind of fast, and sometimes comments get overlooked. We do try to welcome people as best we can though. If a hi doesn't get a response please don't take it as any kind of slight, it's an honest mistake.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is a moot point and your response while a nice attempt at pacifying the issue but that does not change what has been obsereved repeatedly by several people. -

It is the name of a player that holds sway over some other players causing them to post nonsensical stuff on the forums to increase their post counts for no real purpose than to occupy time.
[/ QUOTE ]
It sounds like someone needs a hug and feels left out for not being invited to the silliness. One needs to understand though that ALL are welcome, no formal invitations go out. You just plop down and invite yourself.
Oh and no one 'holds sway' over anyone in the Rookery. Everyone is equal.
[/ QUOTE ]
My post wasn't written with any malice. But please do not pretend that rookery is open to all. I used to be in the channel as well as others I know. I no longer particpate and many others for the simple fact that people never returned a simple hello and the conversations that were going on in channel would cease for several minutes before picking up again.
On a nice note, Detra and I had a nice convesation this morning after running into her within a couple of minutes of her posting. -

Nothing is useful if the team is standing around doing nothing. I don't see your point.

It is probably because Pikachu has slapped you too many times. -

How wrong you are...
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh but how wrong you are! -
It really comes down to one of three things:
1. There is an influx of new players that are not used to other defenders/controllers.
2. There are alot of players that prefer healing over other defenders/controllers.
3. Some mission tactics are better suited to healing.
I seriously doubt it is number 3. -

Is there any reason *not* to juggle your toggles?
[/ QUOTE ]
Personal preference I suppose, but it boils down to two things for me. 1) I don't like stopping to put on toggles, I log in, turn them all on, and start killing. (OK, Yes I turn off CoF and DS when steal thing....if I remember.) 2) Toggles such as DE,MC,and OS are really cheap. For the most part, they're not really the source of your endurance woes. DS is an attack, leaving only CoF to turn off, but at 1.17 seconds, that cast time feels like an eternity at times. Heck I usually use zoning to turn it on so I don't have to wait for it.
And while it's true my DA builds typically have 3.5+ EPS, I've spoken against "toggle juggling" since before IOs. But hey, if it works for you, have it
EDIT: OK OK< I confess, I've killed of several defenders and controllers because I forgot to turn of CoF and DS while stealthing
[/ QUOTE ]
I have 9 toggles and keep them on all the time and also have gotten people killed when stealthing and forgeting to turn them off. -
Someone higher can start the TF. Everyone above that level will exemp down to the highest level of the TF.

Come on guys, you should have just said dark sucks and let it go. Dark doesn't suck!
-
You may not like the answer but the truth of the matter, just like life, the situation will dictate whether it would be better to hit absorb pain, toss out a fortitude, shoot off an attack, get out of splash damage range, move out of line of sight, dog pile rommy, split nitcus, etc.
As an aside, buffs are not always usefull if the team is stnding around doing nothing. Annoying as hell but it does happen depending on the rest of the team. -
AB on its face may look like a poor power but like most powers used at the right time can keep a team running more than your sub par damage buff or debuff.

I recently came back after a couple year sabatical and one thing I've noticed is there doesn't seem to be any more banter on virtue. Once upon a time the broadcast channel would be full of the likes of Ascendant, or KillerWhale, or Kamui (cough cough) making quips and generally just bantering back and forth. Heck, who else remembers Ascendant and his telephone calls! Nowadays, though, when I'm on it's dead air. Or people LFGing. Although I HAVE seen some people role playing in broadcast (which is nice since this is the RP server afterall, even if unofficially) not to much witty banter. So c'mon folks! Lighten up!
This announcement brought to you by Zen Pizzeria, where we make you one with everything!
[/ QUOTE ]
I am not trying to flame you here but not everyone back in the day liked the "public banter" and didn't view broadcast as the appropriate channel for RP and non RP reasons.
Atlas always reminded me of the Barrens Chat without the Chuck Norris jokes. -
I think you would be better suited to saying you add soul transfer into your attack chain and it really wasn't more than you could handle.
-
The way some people use healing aura on auto gives large ticks over a short period of time. I think the slope just got slippery.

Why ranged attacks?
[/ QUOTE ]
Just like in Hamidon Raids, each Blue Mitos have to be attacked with ranged attacks. I can't find the exact values, but I believe Blue Mitos resist ~90% of all melee attacks damage, regardless of type.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not resistance, as there is no such thing as positional resistance. Instead, they basically have capped defense.
Yellow - Capped Range def
Blue - Capped Melee def
[edit: Didn't Catwhoorg solo the LGTF, or at least get to the last mission? Or was it Hami that he stalemated on? I know he at least got past the Riders.]
[/ QUOTE ]
I duoed all the mitos in the LGTF once, I wan't prepared to tank Hami though at that time. I imagine it can be done though, I am just not a big fan of taking extended periods of time to be able to say I did it though. -

[ QUOTE ]
(In fact, in some situations, such as where the tank takes more than half her health in damage each second, WoW raid healers will not even abort heals, because the cost in terms of mana is not worth the risk of a damage spike occuring just between the time you aborted it and the time the heal would have landed.)
[/ QUOTE ]
It was the same way in Everquest, especially during the golden age of raiding when 72 people or more were needed, and the plurality of them had to be clerics chain casting Complete Heal. On some fights you needed a Complete Heal landing on the tank every second. Whole chat channels were set up for raid clerics to call heals in order to let the next cleric in the chain know it was her turn.

Broadsword Dark Armor here. He is like a cockroach.

Some of them are bleeding from the defender forum. I take the blame for that one if blame needs to be placed. I regularly go over their and defend the one set they love to bash.

I'm sorry, but you are in fact wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
Again, I'm more than happy for people to disagree with me. It's statements like this that make me not feel like discussing it. Thanks for reminding me why to avoid the forums.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't worry, you could post one word in a thread and it will cause a plethora of anti healer remarks. That would really solidify why you avoid the forums. You really want to get their ire, just say X defender set is sub par to empathy and watch the trolls come.
