I've been amazed and in adoration with anything Thally makes. Her character drawings are packed with pimp in every line, I'm sure you'll get something awesome.
-
This is one of the best pieces of art ever made on these forums - despite Scarfgirl posting in it with her bad attitude!
-
PS: This new forum avatar of yours is far superior
-
Its an instant win for being a Susiebot character, but also a follow up win for being a very good photo manip with bizzare themes I <3

So I was at work the other day, and was thinking of ways to introduce my newer character. I was pondering a hero journal, and then this.. and then when I got to drawing this, decided to exclude my newer hero all together. The idea is that there's a line all heroes have to file into to get their Hero names, and this took 7 hours to get all finished! Alot longer then I thought it'd be. Enjoy!

Susie, this Gorilla character is amazing

Thanks! I'm currently working on getting a commission done of him by a very interesting artist. I am positively thrilled to see how it turns out.
I really need a DA account...I must have 8 or 9 pieces of character art that no one ever sees but me.

Pssst your last avatar was better >_> -
Oh, that's a great combination of mediums there! They almost almost almost look Yoshitaka Amono like, which is my favorite kind of like. The ink splatters and messy lines really work well with the watercolors and paints there, good job!
-
Wow O_o;; that's the dangerously high levels of cute that make me want to scream like a girl and throw it and run. That is fantastic. And she is amazingly talented, you should eat her heart and drain her powers!
-
These sorts of vague requests always scare me a little. I'm concerned they will always turn into sittuations such as this one; http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...weeeeiiird.jpg

Much better looking. Ooh, I should animate the fire on his finger.
-
Wow, I think you found some of the better artists on DA. (Bokuman I knew about, Hugohugo I didn't). Both of which turned out awesome looking. Hugohugo's maybe has a bit more character to it with that cute pose and the coloring.
And your art trade didnt come out half bad either! -

That's really bizarre. I sized the avatar version in a square so that it'd fit correctly in the pic window. Why did it turn out a rectangle? o.O
[/ QUOTE ]
Hrrmm... No clue. Try just sizing it all the way down to 80x80 before, rather than just the square, maybe? I've noticed an avatar or two of mine I've made (the animated ones) turn out slightly glichy if I make them larger than 80X80 but still square. In fact I think the Shia one I have right now might be larger, which accounts for the few messy pixels and black lines where there shouldnt be any. -
Sister Colette is an older friend from the Virtue server. Also a very cool character that I've rather admired for quite a bit now, and I have done arts of her for practice at midnight. She's sort of a modern day decendant of Prince Valiant, and I would have worked in the red horse symbol. Maybe.

Yup, I often head to the "artistic nudes" section of DA myself (for purely artistic reasons of course).
Here are ones you guys can use that I did up HANDS - HANDS2 - FACES

Those are all great, I'll have to try them out in the future. The superhero one seemed a good run down as well. I thought it was interesting how each artist had to comment on breast size. -
Here's something I always find myself digging for when I begin a new picture; a good photo reference. So, I thought it may be helpfull to the general community here if we started a thread with links or suggestions for good photoreferences of people and the like to work off of! I have quite a few on Deviant art I probably couldn't find off the top of my head, but here's several interesting one's I've found usefull...
Facehunter; http://facehunter.blogspot.com/
This one's like random pictures of people, pretty much. But they all look absolutely interesting and different - its great practice to just draw what you see going down the huge list of photos they have.
Lockstock on DA; http://lockstock.deviantart.com/
This lady posts alot of great stock photos, including packages of themed pictures you can download and sort through for references. I think all the DA linked stock photo type of pages require or at least ask you link them with what you come out with using their photos.
Ladydove7-stock; http://ladydove7-stock.deviantart.com/
Another DA stock artist - Oddly you'll find alot of these people have copiously large amounts of stock photos of them with katanas. She has alot of great themed poses running as well, very usefull. I think they both great selections of pirate outfits too!
Ahrum-stock; http://ahrum-stock.deviantart.com/
One of the few really good male stock photo providers, this guy has a great series of poses in his gallery I highly recommend you look at; along with a fantastic series of 'perspective' style pieces. I had a hard time finding good male figures for pics, but this guy has a good selection..
Wicked Weasel bikinis; http://wickedweasel.com/usd/
I found this doing a .. errr.. search for weasel bikinis, one day. Google inspires odd things. It has a pretty good selection of women in rather typical 'swimsuit spread' poses. So if you were looking for something like that, this is a good spot. It sorts by models, as well
I have a number of sights I go to for just.. photos, like for backgrounds or textures as well, but as that sort of thing is more a ...style... I guess.. exclusive for CGing and photomanipulation and all, I figured these would be more universally usefull.
Thats all I got for now! I hope these are all helpfull to you, feel free to post your own. -
No... no... I just stuffed a bag of cats in it. That's all. A bag of cats.

In my defense, all you internet people look alike to me. Lord Frith is humbled by your post. And everytime I can remember using OpenCanvas's network feature all I remember ever drawing was porn... hm. That reminds me, there's an open canvas board on iichan.net under their art section. -
What you need to do is sell it and buy yourself a brand spankin new gas guzzling AMERICAN car with.. laser eyes, and rockets, and a Hemily under the hood.
-
Very happy birthday to you Graver, you talented sonovagun you
-
hmmmm... was I the one to tell you about this program so long ago, and about the networking things it can do...? ..I can't remember if I've ever talked to you about art before or programs.. ._. I DO remember talking to SOMEONE about Open Canvas and how cool it is if you get the right version to draw with other people at the same time (And you can record the whole session line by line!).
But anyway, I totally have it. -
Yow Rowr, those are all extremely nice looking, you got some fantastic art out of these people o.O I'm especially fond of Sayda's, I just love her color choices on Rowr.
