  1. Thanks for the great advice. I didn't think about taking Leadership for the LotGs. It does make a great deal of sense to have Veng. And since I had a throw-away power anyway, I was able to fit it in. I also forgot about the Hami trick for Resistance powers, so that also saved me a slot. My KB protection was in Gravity Shield, so I didn't forget about it. So, after a few tweaks, below is my New and Improved (TM) WS.

  2. After reading Dechs Kaison's wonderful guide, I got inspired to roll my first Warshade. I just hit 20, and I'm loving it so far. However, I'm not sure if I am missing something from my build. I'm going to Recharge and some defense. I know I'll not be able to softcap and keep my recharge enough for Perma Eclipse without purples, and I won't be able to afford those anytime soon. I know this is moderately expensive build, but I think I should be able to afford it with AMerits. One thing that concerns me is my accuracy may not be high enough, and my Nova blasts seem a little underslotted, but I'm not sure where to find the slots. Any suggestions or ideas?

    And before anyone asks about the SuperJump, by computer is too laggy to rely on TP for my travel power without Hover... Also, I just like SuperJump.

  3. I am also leveling up a DB/Traps, so I thought I'd share my build and give a little critique on build and share what I am building for.

    Empty Clips - Fast recharging AOE attacks with -Def LOVE the Achilles' Heel proc.

    Acid Morter - See above. The more -Res, the better.

    FFG - Overslotted with LotG. The only reason to use more then four is if you are building for high Psi resist.

    Tough - No Steadfast +3% def all?

    Weave - You would be more bang for you buck by sticking 3 LotGs in there, including the 7.5% recharge.

    Stealth - Again, LotG is your friend. Also, with no other stealth in your build, you are short of full invis. Consider either dropping Stealth or adding either Superspeed or a +Stealth proc. Or both.

    Triage - The Numina would be much better in Health. The regen aura it generates does not benefit from the Proc.

    Scorpion Shield - See Weave.

    Stamina - Trade one of the EndMod/XXX enhancements for the Proc. It will give you more End overall.

    You may also want to consider trading Hover/Fly for CJ/SJ. I have had problems in the past when I have tried to trap while hovering. That is just personal preference.

    Ela/Elm Help

    It seems like more common builds a Ela/SS and Shield/Elm, but I like thematic builds. I'm currently building for moderate defense and recharge. I know that it is usually more efficient, to focus on one area, but I enjoy having a will-rounded character. I'm currently planning on no purples/PVP IOs, but if budget allows I am not adverse to adding them.

    My quandaries are as follows:
    1) haste or Build-Up? I'm not up to Perma-Haste, but I do have it with about 20 sec downtime, which is good enough for me. I'm just not sure which will improve overall DPS. I primarily solo for now, so DPS is important.
    2) Soul or Mu or None for APP/PPP? I like the idea of Soul for another damage type, but Mu appeals to my need for consistent theme. On the other hand, if I skip the APP/PPP completely, I can pick up Leadership which should bring me to 32.5 def all and completely Perm hasten, along with freeing up a few more slots.

    So, great wizards to the tanking world, what say you to a first-time tank who is so far enjoying the experience. :-)
  5. After getting back into the game after a long vacation, My Grav/Kin needs to be respeced for the Inherent Fitness. I play mostly Solo, and don't have a huge bankroll (yet), so this is a budget build that might eventually get some purples as cash/luck allow.
