In trying to trouble shoot the speed issue last night I was poking around in my router. I noticed that the packets were being identified as Teredo packets. Teredo is a tunneling protocol which embeds IPv6 packets in UDP packets for transmission over an IPv4 network, such as the Internet.

This identification was, presumable because of the fact that it was using UDP packets on the ports typically used by Teredo. It got me thinking though, so I decided to stop the "IP Helper" service, which is a service which runs under Windows 7 which allows you to use Teredo and other protocols to implement new IPv6 technologies over the internet. I figured the problem may be a problem with conflicting ports, in which case stopping the service should remove any confusion and allow things to move along smoothly.

Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. Stopping the service had no effect on the download speed.

Maybe you should go work for NCsoft?

    Problem with test updater

first: Live is fine it will update just fine nothing wrong

now here is the bug report everthing was fine up too where im installing project coh test it goes into fixing files mode.

Before I deleted the game test worked good
    after stuck at fixing files

the first step I took was to install coh on to my other drive after that I delete my coh off the first drive I should point out that I had NO problems with live install at all.

Second step I done was to reinstall the updater and that is where everything went down hill fixing files 150 hours.

Third step: I deleted and reinstalled everything again no problem with live just took a little more time back to the same fixing files etc

four step: I deleted my test folder and then remade the folder dumped live into the test folder and now im setting at 40 hours instead of 150
Seems like I've already read this post somewhere before..... hmm?

You don't mention whether you are downloading EU test client, so I can't comment on whether it's affected by something Avatea commented on yesterday in this section.

If you are trying to download the US test client, be aware that the path to the updater goes through other people's servers and they put caps on the bandwidth so that it doesn't adversely affect their other clients when so many people are trying to download.
US test.... FYI Texas boy here too! Well I deleted everything and started over. I'm DLing at 85-100k/s. Gah awful slow, maybe in 10 hours I might get to test! ThaNKS!
  4. I'm also having problems with downloading the test server. LOL my stuff is DLing at like 12k/sec........... Weird because I have a 20 MB/s internet connection?? I'm confused why the test is downloading so slow. Could it be because so many people are downloading it atm? Before I had to reboot my pc I was DLing at like 500k a sec (still not top speed, but alot better than it's doing now). Any suggestions?
    Thanks
