  1. Thank you all for supporting my cover identity. When it is time for the revolution, you will all find comfortable jobs in our palaces and bedrooms instead of the salt mines.

    Who squished my cake?
  2. Hrm. I don't think I know any anime artists. I will poke around my DA account and see who I've faved.
  3. There's not enough Art Deco in design these days.
  4. I don't specialize in it, but I just did this piece for the FArt Battle.

    Also: that car looks awesome.

Here's what you do. You assign each of the entries to a number, then roll a die to see what number you get. Whatever number comes up, you vote for me.

  8. Yup. You've either clicked out of DA, or have some sort of Trojan on your computer already, because I've never had anything of this sort happen!

If this is happening because of DA, you should be able to reproduce it by going back to those pages to confirm that it happens again. If you can, then you should report those pages to DA for them to moderate.
  9. I'll frowny face when I want to, mister!

Also, this is still going on. I'm just in the beginning stages of three pieces, so it may be a little while.

If you ask nicely, maybe the clients will share their rough sketches.
  10. It's updated with cleaner art and colours.

I'd work on it more, but I should probably spend my time working on commissions. I think that's what my Skinvitationalists would prefer!
  11. Can't you just put a Hellion vest and bandanna on a demon and that's that?
  12. Another one gets their first taste.

Come to Daddy Foo. He gots what you need!
  13. Okay, here's roughs of my piece, in case I don't get to at least colour it: Maiden Light Comics #1!
  14. Angry baby Positron is watching you all when you sleep.

    Here's Foo's Maiden Light

Rocketed from her home when she was an infant, little Orah Alilah was found and raised in Connecticut with a well-to-do family. After officially adopting her (a little money can make such things easier), they brought her up with good values and a social conscience. It's no surprise, then, that when she developed fantastic abilities that she decided to use them to help her fellow man. Adopting the name "Maiden Light", a pun on "Made In Light", a reference to the birthing ship she was discovered in, which glowed with an ethereal light.

And here's my alternate take on her:
    Close-up
    Full view

Discovered by a retired Air Force captain after a meteor shower in rural Connecticut, Orah Alilah was raised as his own daughter. Having lost an unborn child and wife to a terrible car crash in the previous years, Orah gave the captain a new reason to live again. He taught her right from wrong and instilled into her a strong sense of duty and honor. When she started to develop otherworldly abilities, she was quick to use them for the benefit of her fellow townspeople.

When her power grew beyond the confines of the small town she lived in, her father urged her to find her own destiny out in the larger world. She chose the name 'Maiden Light' in reference to what her father had always told her. "You are the light of my life, Orah. When I had lost everyone, you gave me everything. You gave me purpose when I had none. You are my little maiden of light."

Since Foo's original design had emphasis on a bare skinned lower body, I decided to reverse it and go with upper body skin. He had a nice simple and classic design, so I didn't want to change the innate feel of her character. I lost the cape and gave her a little more of a complex pattern to make up for it. Since I like all the characters I design to have something unique about them, I used the two patterns on the top and bottom to make it look like the top of her outfit is actually layering over her pants, rather than a hard cut at the belt line. Omega was used because it looked nice, but also because it symbolizes the end, which was essentially where Orah began. The end of her journey and the (seeming) end of her father's life.

[/ QUOTE ]I like it! That's something I probably never would've thought to try.

    Ummm...what is Canada Day?

    FOO!!! Don't let me down!

[/ QUOTE ]You can still use the Cap piece I posted, or the Shield, even if he's not polished to a shine!
  17. Here's Massacre Melanie's bio:
The fire element fairy known only as 'Melanie' was forcibly summoned into our world to serve as a magical weapon and servant for a particularly cruel assassin, who was looking for an advantage over his peers. Being a naturally kind creature, Melanie would not obey his commands to maim and kill so he subjected her military brainwashing techniques and torture until her mind fractured into a new personality. A new dominant force that existed to protect the original fairy, the 'Massacre' personality would do anything it took to protect herself. She delighted in the sorrow she could wreak on the world, seeing it as just revenge for the pain she had endured. She became too much for the assassin to handle and escaped his control, unleashing her fury onto the world and all it's inhabitants. 'Massacre' Melanie, as she became known, is interested in nothing but punishing everyone else for her own suffering. If left to her own devices, she would surely destroy everything in her need for revenge.

    Mel Classic

And here are two different costumes I came up with for her.
    1) An alternate look for the same old Melanie. Maybe this is her evening wear for butt-kicking.

    2) This one is her more empowered, mystical look. I assume some sort of magical whatsits occurred and brought her closer to her (perhaps previously unknown) ifrit heritage. Maybe her mother never told her that she was part ifrit and some magicks brought these traits forward?
  18. Well, now I'm afraid of her, too.
