  1. Now thats just wierd, A friend of mine who is a mac user (and salesman) who is almost never online just came online at exactly the same time lighthouse was posting that. Yet more proof that mac users are freaky

Oh well now at least we can get him to play as he could never get the coh on a mac stuff to work before now.
  2. Interesting point, it looks like there are some insomniacs working on the site. 9 am local time (5 am est) I took a look at the site in IE6 and it had the usual web2.0 transparensy issues, I just looked back at 11 am (7 EST) and they are all fixed.
  3. I had thought about using a game pad for my Kheld, I mainly play in squid and lobster form so it is almost ideal for them. I would be interested to know how they would work out for flight based travel powers.

I was wondering if anybody's posted a guide to playing CoX through a firewall... sitting behind one now and really hankering for my daily dose of the game

[/ QUOTE ] If it is a home firewall then the odds are that this site Portforward.com has a step by step illustrated guide, just choose your firewall and then click city of heroes in the list of games that comes up.

If it is a school/works firewall you might try googling the word sockscap but its not an easy process and could end up getting you in trouble with your firewall administrators (oh and requires you to have admin access on a shell box somewhere out in the net).

Well, what else can you do when that music's lost it's taste, but try another flavour?

I must be old, 'cause that look *still* screams cool to me.

    You know it is.

I highly encourage everyone to embrace their inner Ant today. (We so need a "Prince Charming" dance emote for I8...)

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of.

[/ QUOTE ]The Dandy Highwayman will remain a ninja stalker untill the day we get pistols. Shame the closest hat you can get has that daft skull and crossbones on it.

"The way you look you'll qualify For next year's old age pension.
Stand and deliver your money or your life"

    strangely relevant for this thread
  6. You remember assembling your first computer from components using a badly photostated wiring diagram.

You remember spending hours punching in binary so that you could watch the display (all 8 led's of it) flicker backwards and forwards.

You have ever realised that all of your favourite games are smaller than the icon for the game you are currently playing.

You have ever had to "park" a laptop drive

You have ever though "hah i remember having to do this to keep my fingers safe" whilst parking a laptop drive

You remember seing a 640x200 16 colour demo and wondering how it was possible to get such high resolution images out of a computer

You can remember a magazine article about a company that had produced a 1 meg hard drive, and laughing along with the writer wondering who could ever fill 1 meg of disk space
  7. How is it I never thought of this before now Oh well those troll's are in for a supprise as soon as I can log in
