  1. You took what I said and twisted it into your own meaning. I wasn't saying it was pointless to read something as hostile, I was saying that you should always expect something you post on the internet to be viewed as offensive or hostile by someone else.
  2. Look, it's the internet. It's not like we're talking face to face and can see eachother's facial expressions. No matter what you type/post on the internet, someone somewhere is bound to find it offensive/hostile.
  3. It didn't come out as asking.

To me it seemed like you were saying: Despite you being a new player, you must be an idiot for not doing exactly what I think and want you to do.
  4. No offense, but your post came off as rude to me PennyPA.
  5. 7. Customizable 'optional' powersets. I mean, it's cool that we can customize, to some extent, our secondary and primary powersets. It would be cooler if we can customize the other powersets as well when we get the powers.
  6. That would be a cool travel power set.

    Here are my powersets:

Martial Arts - Super Reflexes - Travel: Leaping
He's a Technology Scrapper, his powers come from his suit.

    KAMEN RIDER PROTO:

I'll try to get a better shot later.

Basically, Kamen Rider Proto is a prototype Rider System developed by Horizon Technologies using plans stolen from SmartBrain and ZECT. He is purely a fan-made Kamen Rider based off of the Kamen Rider series from Japan.

Dude! He reminds me of Kintaros from Kamen Rider Den-O

  8. Agreed, so Science and Natural huh? Hmmmm...of course I'll need to change the color scheme.

I actually found a guy on youtube who made a few Kamen Rider based heroes:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeQwhqXRwig

Can any of you tell me what powersets he's using?
  9. I don't mind having to get the cyborg pack nor do I mind compromising.
  10. Hello, I got a request for anyone wishing to rise to the challenge.

I'd like to make a hero that looks something like this:

However, due to me being new to the game and seeming to have poor ability in costume designing, I have been unable to accomplish something that looks even close to this. I was wondering if someone with better talent with the hero designer than I do can make a hero that looks like this guy and add a screenshot and list of what you used in a post here so I can finally make a hero that resembles a Kamen Rider.

I also got pictures of other Kamen Riders if you feel like trying something more challenging:

  11. Some more stuff from a new player.

    5. I'd love to see some more 'emblems' in the game. I mean, the collection we have is pretty cool at the moment but there should be a bit more. Today I made a character who will most likely become my favorite of my 4 villains and 4 heroes, Artic Shark. I was looking for a chest emblem and was sad to find that the game lacked a Shark emblem. I'm pretty sure other people have emblems they'd like to see but aren't in the game.

    6. Easier to add phrases for when switching outfits. I heard it can be done through macros but no one I talk to in game seems to know how to do it. I believe it would be nice to make it easier. Like, say you have an armored hero who is in his civilian outfit. You'd like to see him say Armor Up when changing to the armored suit, it seems to complicated to do at the moment. Maybe something in the costume change window that you can type in whatever phrase you want your character to say while switching.
  12. Hmmm...I'd love to see two weapons thrown in, but they may involve having to make a new powerset for each of them.

    Weapon One:
The Classice Oversized Sword that looks like it's heavier than the guy who uses it:

    The Glaive:
A long pole with a sharp blade at the end, favored by Chinese Warriors in ancient times:
  13. I got two more ideas that would be cool. Following the numbers where I left off on the first page:

    3. Motorcycle Powerset. I mean, along the lines of natural heroes, there aren't many options for your third powerset that you can take logically. A motorcycle powerset would allow a travel set for natural heroes and it would just be cool. For attacks you can have things like grenade launchers or miniguns hidden on the thing. o.o It would be AWESOME!

    4. Destructible PvP Enviroments. Imagine an area for PvP where you can pick up a car and chuck it at your enemies, or damage a building and eventually cause it's collapse. A 100% Mayhem Devoted PvP area. I mean, in comics books, when heroes battle villains they should be able to fully interact with the environment around them. How many of us can forget the scene in Spiderman 2, when Dr. Octopus tossed a freaking care through a window of a coffee shop to get at Peter Parker or, in Spiderman 1, when Green Goblin destroyed that balcony during the parade with his pumpkin bombs? Maybe the goal for the villains in the area is to destroy the city, while the goal of the heroes in the area is to protect it? *shrug* I just think it would be REALLY cool to see.

On another note: My grandma may be willing to pay my subscription fee for City of Heroes once we get out of the dept we were tossed into when my grandfather, the closest thing I had to a true father, died.
  14. I really think you shouldn't be advertising other games on a forum for City of Heroes. You might make the gods and overlords at NCSoft and Paragon Studies mad. <<;

As to what McBoo said. I agree about the DDO thing, I play DDO. However, City of Heroes does have something like a store. Players can buy 'costume boosters' from the PlayNC site. All they'd really have to do is put out extra packs like that, or maybe even story packs similar to the adventure packs used by DDO.
  15. Is there anywhere I can download/find a soundtrack? I'd like to use the music to make a City of Heroes/Villains fan-site/rp-site
  16. To Forbin and Soul: I barely have $10 left over from spending on what I NEED to live. I can't sell plasma because they can't get a needle near me without me becoming 'a risk' as my doctors say. I totally freak out over needles to the point where they can't safely stick me with one. I need the internet for my schooling, I pay half of the TV bill, it's split between me and my Grandma. Hell, without my grandma I'd be royally screwed over because then I'd be living on the streets. My job doesn't pay much, I just get enough to pay for what I need.

As I said, I'm not saying everyone can't afford to pay the fee but I'm not saying everyone can either. Believe it or not, some people have situations where they can't pay game subscription fees. Thats why things like 'Private' Servers exists for some game. If there was a free to play superhero game, I'd be playing that.

Champions Online uses the neverending free trial bit, but I can't play that because it kills my out of date computer. So City of Heroes is my only option.

To Neon: I don't feel right 'trial hopping' and I believe 'trial hoppers' wouldn't be liked very much by the rest of the City of Heroes community.
  17. While I do understand what you are saying, my suggestion is more of something to aid those who can't afford to play the game for short periods of time. I am one such person, as in order to even be able to afford to play this game I'd have to get a second Job, and putting that with my first job as well as schooling then I might as well not be paying at will.

If you stop paying, your account becomes a 'free' account. You'll still be able to play, but only on characters under 14. Personally, I believe the whole no-broadcast and no-tell thing makes it hard to fully experience the game and I believe it should be removed all together.
  19. Hello, I'm new to the game, I only have about three days of play time. Anyway, I don't expect my ideas to be adapted but these are just some things I'd like to suggest.

    1. Colorable Minions. I'm talking about anything that can be called by the Mastermind or any other archetype that can summon Minions. I'd like to see them have their Minions match with their appearance, something that should be added in with the power color change thingy. Like, if I have a Red and Black colored Mastermind, I'd like to be able to make his Robots, Mercenaries, Ninjas, etc, Red and Black as well.

    2. 'Unlimited' Free Trial. This is something I noticed that seems to work with other games. Basically, it's a limited never ending trial. Seeing as how we are having hard economic times, this would make it so players wont leave City of Heroes/Villains for other, free to play, games. They'd be able to keep their gamers when said gamers can't afford to play. The two games I know of who use this, Warhammer Online and Champions Online, limit the content that the free players can access, and max their level to the equivalent of City of Heroes/Villains' lv. 15 - 20. This is insures that players will still play when they can afford to play and yet stay when they can't afford to play.

As I said, I'm a new player and these are just my suggestions. Since I'm new, I highly doubt that any of these ideas would even be read but I'm just putting them out there.
