Cool. Eventually, I probably will be willing to do so. Infl comes, Infl goes. I'm fighting mostly arcane for a reason!
-
My main is a kat/invun scrapper, so I'm getting a kick out of these replies. Wait, no, that's not it. Confused. I'm getting confused by these replies.
I think I need to look at my slotting a bit better. I've been playing with the IO sets for the Kat side of things, but not so much with the invun.
So, if I am willing to lay out some cash for the IO sets, how much psi protection can I muster? Enough to really make a noticable difference? -
A little help, please.
I was in a ToT group yesterday where everyone was running around like crazy hitting about eight different doors. It was frantic. I thought it didn't matter if we all hit different doors because the timer was for each player, not the doors. But, since I joined them, I said nothing and played their way.
Little by little people left and people joined, and after a while I inherented the star. I asked the team to please just stay at one door because we were getting to spread out running around like doofuses. They complied. But then, we seemed to be getting far fewer tricks and treats. I know I went several minutes with a "you cannot enter" popup.
So, I'm wondering if I was wrong about that all the time. Do other people's click affect other players timers on a door? Is it really better to run around than stay put and camp one door? -
Oooh, I wanna play.
My newest, favorite character.
And here she is ready for some action!
I just KNOW I'm gonna win this thing! -
I wish you good luck with your SG. They can be alot of fun, but they can also be pretty high maintance. Keeping a good number of members is key. If you fall below a threshold, then you're players will feel that the "Place is empty!" when they log on, and end up leaving for a more active one.
I'm not saying this will happen to yours, of course. You might be a natural at making this sort of thing work, and your SG might flourish. But just in case, try not to be too disapointed if it turns out to be a bit hard to get going and stay active than you thought it might be. -

everything in the game at this point. One of the female characters is flirting with me as well, sending private tells. At the end of the mish, she tells me to look over at her. She has arranged for her char to be above mine, and she uses an emote to sit, so my char is looking up her skirt. Not really exciting, but it is amusing. This turns out to be a problem though.
The next night, she is on another team while I'm on the prowl solo. She tells me she's on a team with four guys, and I make a joke about how popular she is. She immediately becomes offended, and accuses me of calling her a bad word. I learn a couple more new things. One, it actually is a woman behind that particular character, not a man-gina, and two, maybe I should not be making innuendos as much, since I'm here to have fun, not have people misinterpret me and get their feelings hurt.

So let me see if I got this straight. She's flirting with you, even to the point of positioning herself in an suggestive way, then she gets highly offended when you say she's popular? Either you're leaving alot out, or she was ***way*** too sensitive. You seem like you're the literate type, and I'm prone to think that if there were some other huge pertinate details you would have included them. This person's attitude boggles my mind.
Let me, if I may, make a point that not all of us real women who play the game are like this. Some of us like to flirt, some of us don't. I personally am more or less in the "don't" catagory. Since I don't really like playful sexually themed banter, I refrain from starting it or jumping in on it as well. I don't think that many of us think that it's fair to start a suggestive conversation with a guy, then get all whack because he said something suggestive back.
You say you found out that the other person was a woman, but did you really? Some people will swear up and down that they are something they are not when they are safely hidden by the anonomousity a MMORPG provides. Some people can be very, very convincing. Just because she set you "straight" as to her true gender doesn't mean she was telling the truth about it.
I dunno. I'm hoping for the sake of the credence of my gender that you ran across some 16 year old male kid that was getting his jollies by messing with your head. Of course, I know that there are plenty of psycho women out there as well, and you might have well encounted one of these.
Whichever the case, please don't think that all real women who play this game are like that person. -

Colisseum.
Typo! Ack. Colosseum. Yesh. It's derived form the Greek kolossos...
[/ QUOTE ]
No no no. You shouldn't have fixed the typo. In fact, you should have named the expansion the way you spelt it the first time. That way, everyone would spend all their time pointing and laughing at the mispelling, instead of griping about how I4 has ruined their lives.
You don't want to ruin lives, do you Staties? Give it some thought. -
Should be
"Let the complaining begin!"
That's what I would name it anyways. -
I also sorta agree with the OP. I was pretty annoyed when I got a mission on the far side of the hollows at level 7, I think it was. I was careful. I did my best to avoid mobs. I made it most of the way...
Being careful will work most of the time. But not always. I think it is a bad game design. I can understand that since the Devs went to all the work of designing and adding the Hollows they want players to see/use the zone. Fair enough. But forcing players to go there at such a young level, and in many case run across it through dense packs of deep purples is just going to inspire alot of hate for the zone, IMHO.
Which is a shame, because at somewhat higher levels the Hollows can be better appreciated for being a creatively designed and challenging zone. But by that point, many people already hate it and avoid it like the plague. -

We were? Wow. I had no idea!

You really should try to keep up on that sort of thing, States. If you read the forums regularily, you can find out tons of stuff I bet you didn't know you were thinking. -
I wonder if all the lumber and rebar used in the building of the arena is going to be carried onsite on the shoulders of the constructions workers.
"Why bother loading up a truck when we can just get Brent here to haul it in on his back?" -
What sort of changes are they planning to make to enhancements with issue 2?
I admit it. I don't play on Test very often. -
I appreciate that! But you might want to say somewhere in the sig that this is for talking about mods.. the url doesn't really say much about that.
There are a few mods posted there now, including the map patch and some looping sound killers. Hopefully I'll get more emailed to me so I can link them also. -
Ok Zod, done.
Does anyone have any portion of the "how to disable looping sounds" thread by Spyder? If so, can they post it in mod sub or email it to me so that it is available again? It was too good a post to loose. -
You know when I learned that thing about the blue buttons undocking stuff so it can moved about? Right about the time I read your post. Thank you!

Well, since it's all wrapped up and done, where exactly are we going to discuss the mods now that we can't do it here? Any good forums? I checked IGN's CoH board and that was too cluttered for my tastes.
[/ QUOTE ]
I just opened up a mod forum here on the Unofficial CoH forums. These forums don't get much traffic, but I'm hoping that they will pick up steam one day. Anyways, you can talk about/post mods to your heart's content there. -
Excellent post. Congratulations, this made it into the of Archive of Good Stuff to Know at the Unofficial Forums!

Still new here (level 13), not sure what the map patch is I have heard a few people mention...anyone care to explain?
[/ QUOTE ]
Go to here, and download the one that says ingame maps with stores. This also has the paths in Perez park. I use it, and it works great. -
D'oh! I could have saved myself a couple of keystrokes! It seems odd to me that it works either way. Interesting coding.
Thanks for the answer. -

/bind enter beginchat <color #000000><border #000000><bgcolor #ffffff>
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't you need quotation marks in there? When I changed my chat bubble collars, I did so in the format of:
/bind enter "beginchat <color #000000> <bgcolor #cccccc> <border #ffffff>"
Course, I'm certainly no bind expert, so maybe they're not really needed.
Thanks for putting this post together!
