    Yes, please it! Appreciated.

Aye, thing is I had a half-baked idea of slotting a full resist set.

No, please do ramble, very much appreciated.

Currently digesting all this (it takes a while for things to sink in with me) and I'll also look over LygerZero's build.
  2. Thanks Dersk.

I've added the rest of his current build in the first post. Be merciless!

It's when I respec, not if.

I've currently got about 400mill (edit: just sold a purple was a lot less) and 532 reward merits to play with at present; can convert to Villain Merits, I can tip/get more -- lack of funds is an incentive to get more not an excuse not to! Probably keeping the spend around 1000 million is reasonable? (unsure)

    Quote:
The three tohit debuff in RTTC are a waste. Really. If you do a respec, take them out unless you want to use those slots for IO set bonuses. There are several healing sets that give +max health, and you could get 3 miracle and 3 numina in there to justify the slots. Three of the taunt set "triumphant insult" will give 1.88% smashing/lethal defense, which would work well if you get several other s/l defense bonuses.
I'm assuming by this you mean by choosing the recipes so my Healing in RttC doesn't exceed the Enhancement Diversification 90% limit?

All your other points seem clear enough!

    Quote:
If you're thinking claws isn't capable of "high damage", I'm inclined to think you've made some slotting errors there. Getting basics, like (5) crushing impact in your melee attacks and (6) thunderstrike in focus certainly help both damage and survivability. Other than that, get tough and weave and start looking at picking up several global defense and/or max health bonuses from sets. How far you can go with sets depends greatly on how much inf you've got, so you might want to throw in that bit of information before people start posting builds billion+ builds.
I'll do that; alas I went Devastation in Focus (checks Thunderstrike: likes the set bonuses)
  3. Any advice appreciated! This was my first brute, and in retrospect there may be a reason why there are nil guides available for Claws/Willpower. What I am finding is that he is too squishy. Secondary to this is the damage output is not high, but I put this down to claws and I can see how to address this.

So to address his squishiness I need to increase his defenses and resistance. This comes down to how I slot and equip his Willpower. I'm also guessing that I need to maximise his hit points so that RttC works as well as possible.

I know he'll never be as good as brutes with other sets at tanking AVs, but I'm hoping he can be built to stand beside the brutes that do.

Here is his current willpower at level 50: suggestions as to sets and suggestions to enhance his survivability most welcome before I try and muddle through on my own.

Happy to completely respec him, of course.

Edit: Have not considered pool or patron powers either, suggestions there welcome too.
Edit2: I put the rest of the current build in below as per Dersk's suggestion. Note he's not been respecced since before Fitness became Inherent. And I like Flight ;>

  4. NCSoft suggested I post this is the forums, hope it's the right place. I recently encountered an issue while completing a long in-game story arc. This was the Project: World Wide Red (45-50) arc from Crimson.

It's a very long Malta-related arc I'd been plugging away at for a while, enjoying the immersion in the story. At the end of the arc, there are two missions: one to capture Jack Firenze then the finale, a massive outdoor defeat all with the Kronos Titan.

However, and this is not flagged, the finale is timed and starts immediately upon the completion of the previous one.

For me, this came as a shock, and occured 20 minutes before the Friday maintenance (which is my local Friday 11PM, being in Australia).

There was absolutely no way to complete the mission succesfully. Even after commencing, then waiting, I had less than tem minutes before the timer ran out when I could log back in.

To me, this is a design flaw. I'd like to suggest that that missions (and especially arc finales!) not be auto-starting and timed without clear ingame notice to the player. If this occurs when the servers are about to go down, it's incredibly frustrating to see a 'mission fail' for no reason other than unthoughtful mission design. Other than that, the arc weas brilliant.

(And yes I went all out and defeated the Krons, thus getting "Master of Olympus". But I had no chance to succeed at the mission ICly, and no chance to bring a huge team of friends in for the fun and make an epic fun battle of it.)

Well, that's my two cents worth! I'd appreciate other players' feedback.
  5. This is a simple (general) guide that I've found useful. I've previously emailed the core of it to other players, they too found it useful. Your mileage may vary, but some players may find adapting the technques below well worthwhile to get over any starting hump.

Firstly, when I started a Peacebringer I found the plethora of choices far too complex. So I simply focused on a human build. I had the expectation that once I was more familiar I'd use my build 2 to create a triform.

    Peacebrunger lvl 23
This is my build at level 23.
It took some effort to get there.
    * It's easiest to team as much as possible until at least level 17.
    * Try to do the Synapse TF. This, plus the Kheldian Arc, gave me enough merits at lvl 23 to buy 4 points KB protection (which I put into Combat Flight).

    Key points:
    * Manage your endurance!
    * Toggle protections only when needed
    * I maxed out Incandescence, it costs no endurance
    * I got a couple of sets sets at Lvl 22, and SO for the rest. This made a -dramatic- difference, and all of a sudden the peacebringer was able to solo with ease, and in teams became awesome.
    * Note: I do not yet have stamina. However, with the sets I've done, I rarely run out of Endurance [edit got it at 24]
    * Remember, most sets you will consider need to have four slots at level 22, to be effective
    * CoT seems damn -easy- compared to my other alts, and of course the Quantum Shield helps and so on. Council Mech go down fast too.
    Peacbringer at level 23:
    * All slots below are SO at level 25 unless noted.
    * The number after the power is the number of slots at level 23

    LUMINOUS BLAST:
    Gleaming Bolt: 2 DMG DMG
Gleaming Blast: 5 DMG DMG DMG RedEnd ACC
Radiant Strike: 4 DMG DMG RedEnd ACC
Build Up: 4 Set: Adjusted targeting
    : ToHit Buff
    : ToHit Buff/Recharge
    : ToHit Buff/Recharge/Endurance Reduction
    : ToHit Buff/Endurance Reduction
Luminous Detonation: 3 DMG DMG ACC
Incandescent Strike: 2 Set Undermined Defenses
    : Recharge/Endurance Reduction
    : Defense Debuff/Endurance Reduction

    LUMINOUS AURA
Incandescence: 5 ResDmg ResDmg ResDmg ResDmg ResDmg
Shining Shield: 3 Set: Titanium Coating
    : Resistance
    : Resistance/Endurance
    : Resistance/Endurance/Recharge
Essence Boost: 2 Set Miracle healing
    : Healing
    : Healing/Endurance/Recharge
    Thermal Shield: 2 ResDmg RedEnd
    Quantum Shield: 2 ResDmg RedEnd

    INHERENT (all ONE slot)
    Brawl: DMG
    Sprint: RunSpd
    Energy Flight: FlightSpd
    Rest: RechRed
    CombatFlight: Karma: KnockBack Protection
: This cost 75 Merits, could afford it at lvl 23
    Swift: RunSpd
    Health: Heal

[ ... ]I'm waiting on the next big full rebuild that will be targeting Vista SP3.. I mean Windows 7. [ ... ]

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just to point out (running Windows 7 beta) that Windows 7 is in no way a "refinement" of Vista. It's a complete new beast and I have to say I am impressed. IMO it's what Vista should have been.

Just got out of my cave, heh what's the scoop in this new to me term, sync?

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Added /sync command which attempts to get the client and server back in sync when the client allows movement but it isn't reflected on the server. (When out of sync, the player will be able to move around, but cannot see other players or NPCs, and other players cannot see them)."
  8. Hmm. I'd like to see NCSoft give a special free gift to players in Australia and New Zealand (for example), where the updates are not at a convenient time. I am smiling as I say that, however; so please don't take it too seriously. Almost any patch is worthwhile!

ps About 100000000Influence or one free month in twelve ought to do it.
