Hey I agree with the others, I would love for there to be Golden Age missions added to the Oroboros area.

    [/ QUOTE ]

For what it's worth - and perhaps it's a small market to cater to - I would love to see a few Golden Age missions, and maybe some Golden Age maps and costume pieces.

    Subjective Feedback
I would like to see a chance to earn these enhancements upon being defeated by another player (Say about half the chance of getting one if you defeat another player). It would encourage a mentality of "It doesn't matter if you win and lose, as long as you play the game". It would encourage players who are new to the system ("Oh geez I got my butt kicked but I got this great enhacnement that dropped so now I can slot this and do better next time!") and generally encourage people to finish fights to the bitter end instead of the hit and run tactics.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is actually a really good idea. You might even increase participation in PvP with something like this.

Im pretty sure that theyre going to have a system like what you see in the KOTOR games. Take this mission, or achieve this objective - get + or - points. Once youve reached the far left or right, you do another mission or Task Force and you switch sides. I cant imagine it will be easy or quick.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We've got two new named characters - one hero-turned-villain, and one villain-turned-hero.

The most likely situation would be that they will be the contacts for two new arcs (or two sets of arcs) that will be used to make the transition.

This is Fantastic news. I can't wait to bring my Night Widow to the heroside so she can follow her story.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Assuming that epic archetypes are eligible?
  6. [ QUOTE ]
If I remember the lore right ...

There's no Praetorian version of Lord Recluse. In the Praetorian Earth, Marcus Cole killed Stephen Ritcher right after they opened Pandora's Box. So any version of Lord Recluse is basically a corpse.

There could be Praetorian versions of Ghost Widow, Scirroco, Black Scorpion, and their minions, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

With all the portal corp possibilities on the table, it's not entirely off the table for some form of a Praetorian Recluse to appear...
  7. [ QUOTE ]
So, devs, can you leak if:

There will be Praetorian Patron Pools

    Heroside Patron Pools/Villainside Epics

Heroes having access to Villain Patrons and vice versa

    [/ QUOTE ]

In terms of 'likely' or 'logical'... it doesn't seem that people would be picking patron powers unless they were a villain at the right level, and it doesn't seem that you'd be able to cross from patron to ancillary pools. And vice versa.

In game terms - just because Mako taught you great power, doesn't mean you can't use that great power against him if you switch sides... for example.

Which might make a bit of a stumbling block for switching sides in the 40 to 50 range (if they use an approach like that), because it's not necessarily logical for Mako to KEEP teaching you new stuff if you switch sides... but it's not necessarily logical to assume you'd gain access to the hero powers either - so it might come down to the simple choice of losing access to extra pools, if you switch sides in that level range.

There will be SGs (good), VGs (evil), and RGs (rogue).

    [/ QUOTE ]

It seems unlikely, to be honest.

Villains that leave the darkside will lose their place in VG's, and have to find a place in SG's... and vice versa for heroes that fall.

Rogues will end up in either VG's or SG's depending on if they are rogue heroes, or rogue villains.

That seems the most logical answer - it's hard to imagine the leader of "Super Mega Awesome Heroes of Atlas" putting out the call for everyone to come fight a bank robbery, and half of his membership pricking up their ears - "ooh, bank robbery? Let's help the robbers!"

It's likely that VG and SG alignments will remain.

GR looks cool.....but come on ....slotting to lvl 60 ..but not being lvl 60 WTF....
a new lvl 50 zone great..
but 5 years and no new lvl cap
i have played for 4 years ..have 9 lvl 50s now what at 50 you can badge hunt. or move to FL and get temp power lawn chair....
    UP THE LVL CAP

    [/ QUOTE ]

Seen this idea mentioned a hundred times... never seen what the point is supposed to be.

50 is the pinnacle of superhero existence. It's like a step below gods. If you introduce a new higher level, all you've effectively done is nerfed 50's.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Come to think of it, some of the ATs and power-pools don't seem like they'd work well if you could switch 'em...

I mean, a heroic mastermind who defeats his enemies with an army of zombies? In fact, most masterminds don't make sense as heroes... "I'm a savior to the down-trodden, who sends his army of street thugs to beat up other street thugs! Gang warfare... for justice!"

Stalkers make sense in a way... Batman was a stalker, really. :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Any 'private army' type character is nominally a 'mastermind', according to archetyping. The X-Men, theoretically, could be considered Xavier's thugs...
  11. I like Tyrant's Judge Dredd style armor pieces. I want those.

To anyone who thinks there will be or wants a new "Spy" archetype... please, elaborate, what would this archetype actually DO?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking about that too. We already have Banes, Stalkers, /Devices Blasters...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they sneak around peeking at stuff through binoculars? Taking notes?

And occassionally calling in airstrikes or raids.

It would be an interesting twist.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just speculating, but possibly a new kind of mission altogether. There's been past chatter that the mission types are a bit stodgy. I'd envision new spy missions as akin to the old Thief video game, where you do a lot through subterfuge, rather than just invis run/teleport to a goal and take it (or kill/arrest it)

There's could also be counter-intelligence missions, toppling defense, sowing discord, perhaps something that affects the status of a zone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That would be cool.

There's some precedent - we had the introduction of the Mayhems, and then the Safeguard equivalent, and PvP zones have the zonebuff content.

I'm torn between optimism and 'realism'. I know it's possible they might give us some totally new content - new style missions, new play, etc - but I'm tempering it with a view that most of what gets released is flavor.

  14. [ QUOTE ]

He's complaining abt those that make villainous looking heroes. Unfortunately he overlooks the possibility that they may just be replaced with villainous lookin VILLAINS who now can be in the Rogue Isles. :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

What's wrong with villainous-looking heroes? Heroes like Ghostrider and Hellboy are hardly new. Hell, half of the christian mythos is based around the idea that the most beautiful angel turned out to be a complete bastich.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Good, maybe now all the demons, "T3h 3vil D00dz", and emo red and black-colored heroes will GTFO and go to the Rogue Isles where they belong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If they are 'heroes', why would they 'belong' in the Rogue Isles? Surely, the whole point of being 'hero' or 'villain' is defined by what you do, rather than where you are?
  16. I'm really excited. My main character was originally rolled with a bio that had him starting in Arachnos, and breaking out and crossing over. His whole SG was founded on the principle of being an underground-railroad for disenchanted Arachnos ops.

Obviously - we need way more information before I can really make anything of this. Will I finally get to move my 'gray-alignment' MM over to heroside? Will we have Brutes and Tanks in Atlas Park?

Will 'Rogue' content only take place in Praetoria?
