  2. Before I post my build, I'll make clear a few things. I intend to use this as my secondary build for solo play only, hence why there are no team powers (my primary build is much more balanced.) I went as cheap as I could on the IO's, because I don't have tons of influence to spend, and decided to focus on Ranged Defense and Recharge as much as possible. I know Emp's not an ideal soloist, just thought I'd try this out though. Is this build feasible? What kind of problems might I expect with it? (Besides the fact I'd be soloing with an Emp.) Any feedback would be appreciated.

    I agree that it might not be practical to try and soft-cap your ranged defense, but there's no denying that having a decent amount of it makes a noticable difference in survivability if you're trying to play your blaster more from range.
