Quote:WOW, did you even read the entire post?Soooo in your opinion... we shouldn't even try? Really?
Wow.... well after hearing it put that way.... Man, I guess your right and we should just give up all hope and say screw it, and just accept the hand dealt to us and move on.....
OR
We could just pretend those that are really trying everything they can to pull the wind out of our sails, arent even here, and keep doing what were doing.... and continue to show everyone how much this game means to us. We all know the number of signatures means nothing.... its the fact that the people took the time to do it. It shows we do NOT want this game to go away yet....and WE ARE WILLING TO DO WHATEVER WE NEED TO AS A COMMUNITY TO SHOW HOW WE FEEL ABOUT THIS WORLD THEY CREATED!!!
Quote:I feel bad for the developers who are gonna be out of a job. Either way I wish you the best of luck and signed the petition as i want the game to continue to run as much as anybody else. I just bought an architect edition retail box, and just saw this thread :'(

Not to be a party pooper or anything but, you do realize that even if we got a million signatures, it will not force NCSoft to not shut down the game. I mean it's not like when we reach the goal, our combined powers will change their minds. Still i feel bad for the developers who are gonna be out of a job. Either way I wish you the best of luck and signed the petition as i want the game to continue to run as much as anybody else. I just bought an architect edition retail box, and just saw this thread :'(

Quote:Problem is it runs extremely slow, like "The Matrix slow". According to this site i surpass the system requirements and the game should be running at full FPS on the high setting, yet it's running like a turtle on the lowest setting. I am using Windows Vista as my OS if this helps.Does the game currently work with the driver you are using? If yes, ignore the message.
The game doesn't know if there is a new driver for whatever video card installed in a system. However it can tell if the driver is X months old and runs with the assumption that there must be a newer one out there so it complains.
My folks have an old P4 Dell with a GeForce 4 MX card in it. The game complains about the driver date but it still works fine (at fairly low settings, after all it's a GF 4 MX card) and the last driver for that card came out in 2007 I think.

I am getting the message on the title screen where you enter the login info:
Quote:When i went to Intel.com i got this messageImportant: Your computer appears to be using older drivers for your video card Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family with driver dated 03-03-2009
Quote:Product Detected Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family Current Driver Installed 7.15.10.1670 A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

Quote:What's an IO? What reward tier is required to unlock the auction house? As a non-subscriber, I would only look at non IO builds unless you have IO/Auction House unlocked or bought the monthly licenses. I would imagine otherwise they will be loaded down with IOs, relying on set bonuses that you wouldn't have access to.

Is this guide from IGN still a viable build? It's an Invisibility/Super Strength Tanker. It's from February of 2008 so it's a bit outdated.

Quote:Don't be sorry. You have been very helpful, more then i can say for other mmo's. If 1 month is all that is required for tier 2, then i can always get the going rogue:complete box and use that instead. Another option would be to use my gamestop card to get this. Yet another option is to go to my local play & trade and buy the Architect Edition which i believe they were selling it for $15.Don't know it they treat the BE the same as a box code therefore unlocking Tier 2. Sorry.
Sincerely,

Quote:So once i drop down to premium the only thing i would get from using my bootleg edition code would be:While VIP you will get all this, once you drop back down to F2P/Premium it's all about what Paragon Reward Tiers you have filled. Items like 12 slots per server for free and Praetoria access (unless you applied a Going Rogue box code to your account) is only a VIP benefit.
Quote:Super Groups
Chat Channels: Local, Team, Whispers (Tells)
In-Game Mail

Quote:Whatever i can according to this quote:Just out of curiousity, which VIP items were you looking to "unlock"?
Quote:Retain nearly everything you already purchased or unlocked, including Super Boosters, expansions, and directly purchased character slots.
Code:* Access to City of Heroes Going Rogue which includes: * Four Power Sets (Dual Pistols, Demon Summoning, Kinetic Melee, Electric Control) * The Going Rogue Alignment System *Access to Praetoria and all of its zones *Access to First Ward missions. * Super Groups * Chat Channels: Local, Team, Whispers (Tells) * In-Game Mail * Character Slots: 12 per server * Auction House Use * Mission Architect * Inventions
Am i reading it correctly or do premium players get little over free players?
Sincerely,
Supraman -
Quote:That's what i was hoping since i can unlock the VIP items and drop to premium afterwards which would give me a few additionally benefits for character building that i wouldn't get on a free account. Can someone list the stuff i would get for free that transfers over when i drop to premium?Nope, the Bootleg was just a trial account. The F2P game is now the trial account. Although, it is possible you'll get 14 days of VIP status.
Sincerely,
Supraman -
I currently have a free account and an unused Bootleg CD-Key. Will i get anything from activating the key on the account?
Sincerely,
Supraman
