  1. Chiming in here to say, that while I'm an advocate of playing actual story attempts in A/E... I do feel as an author and player of A/E that farms do have their place because of the freedom of it all... but when the balance in favor of the farms... something is clearly out of whack... still!

That's why I decided to load my revamped "Farmville Beatdown 2011" arc with a really poor story, but hopefully lots of laughs for those that bother with it. I hope by submitting that garbage of a story that people don't expect that on my other arcs tho.

I also wanna add that I've thoughly enjoyed what arcs I've played that were written by participants in the MArc SGs on Triumph... most are my style and I feel they're on par with (if not better than) actual dev-created arcs... considering the tools we're limited to.

    PEACE!
  2. *sigh* Well, I figured if anyone knew for sure... it'd be you DR. Guess I'll hafta find a workaround solution. Thanx much for the reply. Even if it wasn't the answer I was hoping for.

    PEACE!
  3. Using zloth's Demo Launcher as usual, but it's been a while (like a year) since I've done the Demo Editing.

The Problem: Not getting any sound on playback.

Tried moving speaker jacks around to every imaginable configuration. I did have everything unplugged a while back when I was upgrading the video card to be able to handle Ultra Mode. Other than that, the only thing I can think of that's conflicting is the new launcher maybe?

Hoping someone who has toyed with it recently can rule the new NC Soft launcher out...

    Thanx in advance!

    PEACE!

    Catch-22

Gratz! I was on an ITF with Kinetikette during the WST... absolutely love that name!
  5. Edited because I seen your update after the fact:

I plan on being there as a spectator, since I don't fare too well in those. I love the format you've laid out. If you want any donations of any kind, I'll give what I can.

  7. But... but... the PPD allies... they're so weak most the time... plus... they're MINIONS!

On another note about them... I have so much trouble getting them to follow into and/or out of side missions, I just save em for last to help me clear the map anymore.

It's all preference anyhoo. Some don't even bother with the side missions. Was just offering out my strategies in a hopefully fun manner.

    PEACE!
  8. For those who may be interested in anything I create but don't feel like creating a YouTube channel, I've started this thread here to post updates to new videos and whatnot.

    Up Next:
    City of rejeX continues...
  9. That scared me enough not to start any more new characters in the future in Praetoria!
  10. Crud, I made it somewhat catchy too? O.O
  11. Glad ya enjoyed it. Hope at least one person other than myself enjoys the Teaser I created for it.
  12. I believe I got my qualifying "Rick Roll/April Fools" (old) arc dusted off and repolished quite nicely now. Been working on it almost non-stop (barring work) the last two days. There's tons of details & laughs (hopefully - depends on how uptight ya are), way too much to see in a quick run of it.

    "CoX: Farmville Beatdown 2011" by @SupaFreak / Arc #491730

Naturally, I'll be there with ya Sunday on Triumph if we decide to put it on the list. If the final mission isn't a Rick Roll, I dunno what is.
  13. IMO, it's all how you approach them. Mayhems can be quite easy if you don't rush the bank. When I do Safeguards/Mayhems... I tend to go in with the mindset that I'm gonna take my time on them and do the side missions.

I'm really kind of surprised Hero/Villain Fame wasn't added for completing these and I'm concerned this fun feature (IMO) is just going to gather dust. Hell, someone starts off in Praetoria... guess what they miss out on never to Ouroborus to? Better hope others don't start in Praetoria or the early bank missions (Dev Content) will never get done. /rant
  14. I partook in an obscene hoedown... and with that... I post no more links to my YouTube page.
  15. Delayed response... sorry....

Overkill was wickedly fast! I’m still sore from the head banging. I used to have a roommate that played Helloween’s Keeper of the Seven Keys album (on cassette tape) along with Alice Cooper nearly every night. “Bring Me the Night” made me remember that time. I know that the Overkill is definitely different that Helloween, but there is something about the pacing that made me think of them.

I was familiar with Helloween back when. Singer of our band at the time was really into them. Really only one song I every liked by them. "Savage", and even then... not so much. Overkill has been my favorite of the genre for 24+ years now.

I like the drums at the beginning of the Arch Enemy song. Can I assume that the lead is Angela Gossnow and not Johan Liiva? Hate to say it, but I can’t really tell. At any rate, I think female lead singers in metal bands (especially death metal ones) are refreshing. Some give you contrasting melodic voices while others add to the grittiness of the song with that guttural throat sound. It’s really cool when they can do both. I’ll have to listen to other Arch Enemy songs to see where Ms. Gossow falls. As a side note, I think she voices one of the characters on Metalocalypse from time to time.

I know her name is Angela Gossnow, yea. I recently got introduced to them and am still learning about them. I do tend to listen to a wide range of music... so I tend to be a late bloomer on finding out about some bands right away. I've not heard Arch-Enemy do anything else than gutteral vocals yet... but something about her makes a lot of what I hear diverse song to song... which is impressive to me. *digs intelligent, empowered females*

Annihilator really had power. “King of the Kill” made me want to PVP! Hehe. I really need to start learning how to PVP effectively. The problem is that when people were ready to team up and show me, I was working on revamping some of my Level 50 builds. I still want to get better at it though. But I think I’m going to keep this song in mind when I’m training.

Yea, when I first heard that song... PvP was the first thought in my head too. I'm out of the PvP loop myself (dunno if I should blame that on age, friends, developers or who). Doesn't help none of my builds ready to be competitive yet. I'd just be a pavement decoration to the experienced crowd at this time.

I found the vocals for “In for the Kill” less exciting than in the ones in the previous song, but the instrument playing definitely drove the song (and me) forward as I listened to it. There was a part where it sounded like they had someone singing harmony. I was really hoping for more of that, but it’s a good song still.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of these guys. This is the only song I've heard from them that I can connect with slightly. I try to help promote them when I can because the drummer (Paul Hopkins) is my High School friend and we got into music together after a stupid fight and 10 day expulsion. Shame I stuck it out with the guitarist when we all had differences back when (no, I wasn't the singer in case ya wondering... *shudder*... bassist). Life coulda been a bit different...

The Skindred song just compelled me to drive around in a car shooting things up. Grand Theft Auto: Paragon City. LOL

Everything I've heard from these guys recently, I've absolutely loved.

“Black Veil” reminded me of another roommate that I had that would spend nights in his room screaming at the wall and singing lyrics to songs like Metallica’s “Sanitarium” and “One”, along with Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like a Hole” and other European remixes of NIN songs. I'm so glad I don’t have roommates anymore. But I do miss the screaming…wait…that sounded rather wrong.

Straight Line Stitch blows me away with the range they have. Plus, this may sound politically incorrect and don't care if I do, but it's sooooo nice to see stereotypes shattered. And shattered with such awesomeness...

Anyways…to change the subject…As a final note, Otep is a great…band? Is Otep a band now, or is it just the lead with a bunch of regular instrument players? At any rate, I’ve always like their/her work.

Again, another band/artist I've just recently been introduced to. When you're partnered with a blue-grass gospel guy for 9 years in business as I was until 2007, it's not easy to find time to get exposure to what's out there.

I'm glad you gave them a listen, even if they weren't to your liking (not sure if any are or not) and taking the time to post a response. Hope with all the feedback you received you compile a list to your liking.
  16. I was expecting an abbreviation that begins with WT, but LOL works too... >
  17. There's a few things I left out, actually. Exploration came to mind first and foremost... as did the temp power from your first completion of a bank type and the specifics about how they scale from 2 side missions to 5 at the later levels. All are reasons why I put a link to Safeguard Missions on Paragon Wiki in the Details.

It's not meant to be a be-all-end-all tutorial, aimed more towards showing strategies and giving a sneak peek of sorts to those who haven't done them or played CoH yet and are curious about the content in an entertaining manner.
  18. Quote:
It's really dope and probably the funniest COH video I've seen.
    Appreciate the compliment.

  21. No apologies in advance to those without a childish sense of humor that clicks on the link to my newest YouTube video.

Short story made shorter: It's a mix of comedic singing and a tutorial for those already familiar with City of Heroes regarding Safeguard Missions.

I have no problem making an fool of myself, and I believe it shows...
