I'm too complacent (whether that's good or bad is subject to opinion) to be vocal about content text format. I also realize I wasn't asked to give my 2 cents, but since it's an open discussion and has been on my mind since I read the thread... thought I be non-complacent for a post.

I don't feel I can hold "contests" per say on a server... because well, it doesn't end til July 4th.

What I tried to do today on Pinnacle was go where the "Trials" were forming (Level 50 Magnet) and every 15 minutes announced I was taking submissions (simply taking a screenshot of character + bio) for anyone willing to enter... tho, only 1 pre-50 seemed interested. :/

Was thinking, maybe a gathering pre-Trial runs... if it's "scheduled"... then Trials could be scheduled immediately after?

Just a thought. Maybe cool... maybe dumb... but gotta try.

This runs til July 4th. I'm just listing my top 5 of each alignment from each server. It's still in its early stages.

There's every reason to apply until that date.

Yea, I don't know why I didn't think to say "Souvenir" from the get-go as more a "credit roll" like you mentioned. Think I will go with that. Leave bio alone.

Details like this are subject to change based on community feedback. The only things set in stone are level 50, 2 from each server, 13 of each morality, 1 representative from each AT (if possible), and power balance.

Other than that... I'm open to change about other details. It's more about community beyond that versus what I want.

Virtue is off to a fast start with the submissions...

I think there should be limits, but EB and AV ranks should have access to a "select list" of "flavor" powers that can help set them apart more. Free rein has already shown that mission designers won't show constraint.

Probably my last villain's name "Motorkill" - Electric Control/Psychic Assault.

I spent a lot of time criticizing every aspect of that arc, Ironik. And it's not a stand-alone arc, totally. The continuation (slated for July/August) coincides with the Global Character Contest (General Discussion) in which I would like to have guest appearances through the arc by actual player creations. If you do try it, gimme honest feedback... I haven't gotten complaints on it since it was "Looking for Feedback".

And quickly reading through some of the posts, I find Forse almost said what I wanted to say to a tee.

I agree with what you're saying, pretty much. I had this challenge I faced when writing my morality A/E arc that attempts to come off as a conversation/narrative without impeding on the player/character's thoughts and feelings.

I originally had the final line as during "In Progress" as:
"This is going to be the toughest decision you've made all night."

But rewrote it on "Final" as:
"This could be the toughest challenge you faced all night."

The first would come off to me (a player) as a definite and you know what's challenging to me. The second, I feel is more like an outside source is trying to understand me and doesn't assume what's challenging to me.

Wordplay can be huge.

Couldn't agree with you more on this, dave... and after minor participation on Trials with my FF Defender... I'll not be returning to them until something (if anything) is done to make it worthwhile for me. I'll just stick with Alpha. Way too poor to afford to make anything and not "farming" 2 Trials to get the new shinies. But, that's my choice.

I am seeking feedback on how people think Epic ATs should be handled in A/E tho.
