  1. Thanks to Niviene and the people on my home server of Infinity for running the new guest arcs! Even though the mission turned out to be bugged and we couldn't finish it, it was still a blast hanging out with Niviene and getting plenty of Vengeance off of her after she faceplanted multiple times.

Just kidding, Niviene. You know I <3 you.

    Edit:

And I forgot to thank Mod 08 for keeping us in the loop about these things! CoH's community team leaders are pretty awesome!
  2. I started saying a similar thing. I didn't think it was a bug at first. I thought the Rikti having spies disguised as regular supervillains was part of the "new" Rikti invasions they were hyping up. But I started sounding false alarms once it was revealed it was a bug. Still, it was an awesome event. And Niviene schooled me. Both in my discussion on VU2010. And those stupid Rikti Monkeys in Nerva. *shakes a fist*

Mod08 just has an itchy trigger-finger it seems. But that's okay. It was fun, it was different, it was worth my monthly subscription fee.
  3. The Jackal was on-hand to help repel the Rikti invaders. His cunning plan of faking his death by jumping into a hoard of Rikti monkeys might have helped contribute to the Rikti getting a false sense of security in Nerva Archipelago, which ultimately failed.

Niviene was helpful enough to let everyone know in VU2010 that the Jackal needed more help in Nerva after his false demise.

    Good job, Rogue Isles Defenders!

  5. Hey Lazarus! Was wondering if you could do a quick review. This is my second story I've made. Noone's played the arc yet, and Venture suggested I try looking for a reviewer. So, here I am!

    Arc ID: 265962
    Arc Title: Warburg: Endgame
    Author: @Aku
    Morality: Neutral
    Number of Missions: 4
Description: Wanted to do a story arc based on Warburg. Tried to tie in as much of the zone as possible and make an entertaining story. Essentially it allows the player (whether hero or villain) the chance to go up against the unseen (so far) leader of Warburg, Marshal Blitz. I wanted to try to make an 'end' scenario for Warburg in a 'What if?' sort of way, yet trying to make it plausible. I tried to keep to canon as much as possible, but at the same time make it a bit challenging and fun.
  6. The vigilante of Kings' Row known as Vendetta will have received word of this while sitting in his apartment, calibrating the energy output of his Talsorian Blades and listening to his scanner.

  7. I play HeroClix extensively!

I'm particularly proud of my collection, but to keep me humble, I won't get into it. But I've funneled quite a bit of my money into the game.

I just have a Captain Mako, and never did buy the DVD edition extras (I wish I had, teaches me to skimp on the perks). But I've used him nicely with Aquaman on maps where I play Atlantis Rising, since swimming hardly ever gets used at my tournaments.

My favorite strategy I use every once in a while is the Kingdom Come Flash, with Nanobots and Armor Piercing. And maybe throw in a rookie Jean Grey to TK him around. He doesn't hit for much (his first click he only does a 2), but with armor piercing, you whittle down your enemy slowly but surely. If someone ever gets past his 20 defense, just have him hypersonic past some objects on his way to rest after another swipe and heal him up!

Ravenstorm has the right idea with Ghost Widow though, she's probably the most playable CoX HeroClix figure out there. But I do like the Arachnos team ability VERY much. It's exactly like the Mystic ability from DC HeroClix, and Mystic characters are ALWAYS great to have on a team, with Ares being the most powerful (with the obvious exception of one of the Spectre's clicks). But with the Arachnos team ability, the figures themselves are far more playable on average compared to the DC mystics. Ghost Widow vs. Zatanna? Don't make me laugh. Ghost Widow would devour her soul. Then feed her to the Fortunatas.
