Ascendant, for Mayor. I'm tellin' ya.
-
I'm just getting a kick out of recognizing names in game. The other day, after putting up Enerjack, someone actually spoke to me in the D. Pity my comp crashed which totally killed my mood to RP some but it's still a blast to go, "I recognize that person!" Some I've seen before but never on the right character or on at all to interact so this system provides a different avenue... and then others I speak to regularly
-
Hope ya get to feeling better soon K, I'll do my best to try and put a smile on your face with my questions!

Having the right hardware wasn't the problem. It was that the CPU and mobo are shot so balance between the two cores I have is inaccurate and faulty. One core runs hotter than the other, which shouldn't be the case and under stress it hard locks. User error of course so I don't use it as an excuse to let me get by personally but being that money was tight for two years due to car payments and such, real life came first as it should. So I use that kind of like an example. If there was an automated system, like the one Ascendent suggested, I'd be all for it.

Quote:I could agree to that but I'd still like to put some kind of level cap requirement. As someone who couldn't play for two years strait due to computer problems (which still exist but seemed to have dulled out since GR's release) if I could have a character whose level has met that requirement and end up keeping the name, I'd be fine.I know the argument has been made that there are times when people have no choice but to take lengthy breaks, such as when military service occurs. In this case, the individual would merely have to ensure his account was paid for before departing. Perhaps NCSoft could add a new level of account status: paid, but unplayable (say, $5 a month), which would keep the account active but not cost as much.
Quote:My suggestion would be to do a purge of non-active accounts every two years, but do an email blast (or make a similar notification effort) two weeks beforehand to all accounts possibly effected.
Here's the kicker, though-- you wouldn't have to resub to keep your names, just log in under your inactive account and check off the names you wish to retain and you're covered for the next two years. If you never plan on returning to the game, you don't have to do a thing. However, if you do have an attachment to your characters but, for whatever reason, don't want to rejoin the game right now, you just need to spend a few minutes to note that and everything is fine.
I honestly can't see how anyone could claim that's unfair, but this being the internet, I'm sure someone will come up with a reason why it is. -
Quote:This is becoming a problem too. Haha I feel like I'm self centered cause I'm not asking nearly as many questions as I'm being asked. Teehee >\w/<We should get the OP updated with a list of everyone's formspring accounts and get this thread stickied. I've been trying to follow everyone myself.
Quote:Just noticed Enerjack's powerset, going to bother the CRAP out of him now...
Hahaha is that you with the Overlord visors and green face? I swear that was completely random set up and it's one I've struggled with trying to make work for YEARs. I die so much right now as a brute because it's like the toggles just aren't doing it for me. I tried energy and that was a pain as well and didn't feel... electrifying enough. He's supposed to be manipulating matter at a sub atomic level which would explain KM as a primary since he'd pretty much be more of a brawling and ranged combatant then say Static Shock who ran around magnetizing everything... not that IC he wouldn't be able to do that too of course.
Funny thing is Super Speed was going to be his power set. Haven't used that in a while on any of my characters. But I'll probably go with TP and wait for the vet reward so I can take it AND maybe fly. His mode of transportation is more accustomed to TP anyways, since he'd crackle and vanish in a bolt before striking the desired position far away. -
WP for Stalkers getting some kind of dark-effect RTTC variant would be sweet. But I dunno...

I honestly don't have an issue with the way things are not. Mainly because in general solo play, with enough practice, you already have everything mapped up in your head as how to conduct. Mix that with Placate and you're dangerous. Sure too many minions at level 10 can hurt but once you hit fifty that power you chose at level 1 can most often take three quarter's of a minion's health easy.
The only issue I had was with waves that constantly follow you and hone in on you. That's the only situation I'd say that would require some fine tuning but I suppose that's due to "ghosting" missions. To each their own. I suppose the -to hit debuff on mobs after a successful AS could be raised a bit to deliver that sort of amped-up surprise, evade, and counter feeling in that movie (probably the best seen out of that entire film IMHO) but too much and it's just OPed. What if they made it so a regular AS couldn't be interrupted and it's base non-stealth variant does minimal damage but applies a -to Hit Buff that rivals something like Parry or Divine Avalanche.
Though playing devil's advocate on that scene. That's pretty much what Placate does. The only difference is if Nightcrawler were a stalker, his Placate is like a -to Hit and AoE effective while losing agro on the primary target; allowing for that critical. That's still be a little OPed by game standards though... right? -
I'm still trying to figure out a good WP build for my BS/WP. I'm trying to figure out how to slot it effectively to soft cap, if that's even possible.
-
We must be making it popular or something. There is a bit of lag going on. It'll say I have a new question and yet when I refresh there's nothing there and then a few seconds later after I cycle through profiles or something, it'll appear. :P
-
Managed to do it with Paint, just remember it had a crap pic. It's still kind of small though.
Mugshot The dimensions for the site are just tiny. >_<

I don't complain about it but I also don't care for it. I see a lot of folks with the tag in their profile, flying around and "searching for the lucky winner" just meandering around the area. More power to them, I'm not going to impede their progress or even consider them right there. Unlike some trolls who, while having no intention of RPing, simply walk up and attempt to ruin another's day by acting downright disrespectful from the get go. Honestly, would rather have people openly abbreviate it in their profile so you don't get those awkward encounters:
"Just so you know, right before we do this, I have 'extra' parts."
At least having the indicators puts it right there out in the open so people who are interested can speak to the person and those who are not can simply avoid them.
Right now my impression is futas are synonymous with ERP. That's just my personal preference, I leave room to be proven wrong but everyone I've seen has in some way attempted to interact with another like-minded person to engage in cyborz. I judge but I don't hold it against them, to each their own and whatever floats their boat. I'm down for knowing what that person is into rather than not knowing and... finding out later >.>; -
Honestly I don't care. Why is it so necessary for a name purge? I was gone for two years because my computer crapped out on me, wouldn't be fare after spending money to make the accounts in the first place; I come back and suddenly there're all Generic'd or something. It should only apply to trial accounts in my opinion.

Heh, I forgot CoX had a screenshot section. This whole time I've been trying to paste prntscrn photos into paint not realizing it was auto setting it to a different folder. So I'd open up paint and wined up with a black picture.
Here's Enerjack Just need to find a way to manipulate the photo to turn it into a mug shot. If anybody is feeling free, by all means go right on ahead. But for those curious, that's the face behind the screen on the other end. -
Here's Enerjack posing in front of one of his favorite bartenders. 19 years old, KM/EA. Praetorian Gloves, my apologies for the wide screen shot. I don't have any program on my computer at the moment to manipulate the picture. If you have any questions feel free to ask but don't worry, I'm not expecting something to be done so don't make it feel like it's a job opportunity; only do it if you feel like it, don't rush - don't force -
My only removal I can think of occurred on Pinnacle. That was an interesting story but this isn't Pinnacle.

Quote:Well what also is sad about it is that these "tasks" existed when the Alpha slot was never even thought of. Yet people still passed through them and have had the badges to prove it for years.People without an unlocked Alpha slot getting kicked from teams running ANYTHING else is very sad and smacks of unbridled elitism.
If someone needs their Alpha slot filled to beat the ITF... they should go play WoW or something. -
Alrighty I think I found a character that would actually frequent the net enough to relax and have some fun: http://www.formspring.me/Enerjack
No picture yet since print screen is buggy on me so I'll have to do it later. Mutant, KM/EA Brute. Boy genius, 19 years old. 5'6", Green Eyes, Yellow hair, and a part time tech guru (not so much because he can trouble shoot but because he can connect and hack to just about any electronic on the planet). Favorite studies are physiology, chemistry, and math. He's pretty intellectual and often times kills a joke even if he doesn't mean to, either applying logic or having trouble trying to get the joke due to the influence of his own perspective of life. -
Lurks around in his Desert Ranger gear. Did he steal it or did he drop out? Nobody knows. The man's observational behavior rivals that of a hawk, precise, cold, and seemingly void of any personality. A man whose seen death so many times he's forgotten what it was like to smile. Beneath those pearlescent shades of gray rests a pair of emeralds just watching the night sky. His trusty coat snug but not light to the point where it would fall victim to the bitter cold; comfortable and permitting the freedom of movement.
"Another cold morning, good I can work up a sweat." -
I was just bummed slotting my Assassin's Strike (BS) from 3 damage encs and 3 accuracy, to find out it loses about 20points of damage. Still well above 200 on it's own but I like seeing it close to 300. Right now it's slotted with Mako's Bite (6/6) I'm honestly relatively new still to enhancements sets so for me I'm just trying to see what I can afford (or accomplish via the merit system) and create in order to spec it out to my liking.
To-Hit becomes my main concern but then again hitting a Rikti Magus with a AS and only watching 5% of their life get stripped away is a pet peeve of mine. >_<# -
Enerjack would be as close to an adolescence hero as possible. Course he doesn't wear a mask but he has no reason to since running away. Originally he started out as a character I came up with that was more of a fanfic character for Heroes but he dates back longer than that. I use Static Shock and Dr. Manhatten as a good template, he's a nineteen year old boy genius with a knack for chemistry, physiology, and math. His original power was as standard as could be, manipulating and conducting electricity. But his knowledge on the periodic table lead him to always question, "What if." Where he evolved accordingly to how he interpreted the process works, manipulating the elements around him and through him as means to bend nearly anything to his will. From charging conductive objects to create magnetism, firing a pure beam of plasma as a bolt, or allowing him to teleport.
Mist on the other hand (in game he's called Mist of Shadows) was more of a genetic experiment gone wrong and he stumbled into the chaos becoming mutated. He's like Spawn crossing with Moon Knight, the idea came up when I watched the animated movie of Batman Sub Zero and the chick disguised as The Phantom used some kind of fog-device as a calling card to arrive and appear. Mist does that, he also wields an assortment of handguns throughout his body but he's no stranger to melee combat.
Romulus Gilgamesh is my interpretation of a diabolical Angel wishing for the "True Utopia" by subjecting the world to Armageddon. He's willing to conspire even with his sworn enemy, only to strike them when their back is turned. Not to mention he's very deceiving, very polite and seemingly non-violent but let your guard down and he'll likely use every opportunity to his advantage to remove one from his mental impression of a Chess Board. -
"Hope everybody fulfills their new years resolutions!"

Enters the room with a pot on his head, backwards, and wielding two dual pair of diamond encrusted spoons. "I'm reeeeeeeady! Les' ROCK DIS' JOINT, ya herd meh?!"
-
Add a pair of shades and I bet he'd play a good Saber Wolf / Agent Shepard. Black hair and sports a nanotech-infused suit and/or durable bullet proof armor under his various suits.
Enerjack, the boy genius; a prodigy for: science, chemistry, and psychics. Age 19, KM/EA Name: Alex Anderson. Though Enerjack has blond hair mostly, green eyes as well. They'd have to CGI that stuff in, still Franky fits the body type for the most part.
Seraph is still pending. Trying to find someone young but fit to play a half breed demon slayer while sporting the white hair correctly.
