Quote:Mid left sometime right after joining the Titan Network, and several members of the CiT dev team have taken it over since then. Currently, it is Diellan and has been for quite some time.Who is responsible for Mids these days? I understood the original creator is no longer doing it?

If I manage to get the bomb badge before then on my scrapper, I'll bring something different. -
I would hazard a guess that this would fail it. Similar to how you auto-fail one of the "old style" Master TFs if someone is dead when it starts. Either way, Veng isn't necessary or even really all that helpful. Very few people die from AM's normal attacks and instead die from the Obliteration Beam or Disintegration.
-
I can't guarantee that I'll be available, but if I'm able to I'll show up in Pocket D around this time in case you need more. That said, these usually have good turn-outs so you may not need my help. Good luck.

While I intend on reserving some names should I ever decide to swap, I have no plans to move at this time.

A couple odd questions that this post brought up...
Quote:So you intend on using brawl and boxing?- I don't actually have any set mules on this build, and while I many not often use Webnade or Inferno, I still WILL be using them on occasion, perhaps only solo but I'll still be using them.
Quote:- Leadership, while I'd like to take Veng, I like to think that taking veng on my Emp is just asking for people to die. And if people are dying then I'm not doing my job. So if I did pick up Veng, that would be my only set mule power 90% of the time. It does have other benefits however it's not in my current build, that may change in the future.
Also, I didn't catch this before, but no Rain of Fire makes me sad. -
Quote:Curiosity's sake, what will you be replacing Freeze Ray with from /fire?This is basically what I have planned for my Emp/Fire Defender come I21.
All that needs to be fixed is getting Fire Blast for defenders into Mids. Which, if you look at the power selections from Ice Blast you can easily enough get an idea of what powers I'll be choosing from Fire Blast in the corresponding power selections. Blast, Ball, Blaze, Inferno, Aim.
Silas this should be easy enough for you to switch into Sonic and take a look at the differences between yours and mine. It's perfect for me and what I want it to do. Specifically, melt faces while still being yayanEmpath and being as effective as possible with both. As always with any build not everyone is going to agree everything that goes into a build. Some people like PBU, some people want Ranged Def, some people want Veng, everyone wants somethin' different if they really think about it. This however is specifically geared towards me and my play-style and what I want. So to each his own, this is just how Force be doin' it. -
Quote:Still some oddities that I wouldn't have done, but stat-wise it's much more in line with something I would personally play.Since I know some people think S/L + Ranged is overkill, try this:

Just on a whim, I took Silas' build, made it cheaper while keeping the essential base attributes more or less the same. Recharge was the main thing that took a hit, but not enough to be of much detriment.
Code:This provides me with a segue into another point of conversation. If you find a build that you like, but can't afford, there are substitutes for purples and PVPIOs that work for most builds with a little finagling.| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1420;675;1350;HEX;| |78DA6593C952135114866F673010C84C020808214030913694EE2D05164282112C1| |C4A8C4D728194B1BBABD354C9CE17D08543E1F8146AE9B3A80B7D0087A5BB7872FE| |4B48555249BEDBFFFDCF74BBBBF468795088C79784165E6A18CD666559EE4AB3261| |D7FC9D8AB57454008913CD62A570E7677F59587B6E1EE1F8E77D40DC3DC93357DD3| |32EBD5CA65D735AA0F6257CD7DE948D3D58F17C1B26535F44D5BCA5A84974569507| |073BF6E0F1E5FDB75732FCE17376443DA96E31A6EDD32C756EC7A555FB21CE7C076| |2DA75232AA92FE9AAE740E47A8BF1CFDEE7A84FAB47C624D136251F8AE314E15811| |2A36F9DF1B5DBFE9A90157D6F18C157C01163F02DE31BD93565D7D40E7C61048711| |1C877D9BEC5E65F7B6BBC88A147A1A41332368E6349AF94E76BFB2FB3F08DEF9CC1| |8FF027C64A43F31EE933D00BB08A4599AA6EB7E6EB0E5E9CFB33404A40183620610| |E31D4872D5991890008618194A1452B9432DFA88182911A4F646101985371A65C49| |160872AC4D410B1E71E6EE10523F592B1F80478CA8853DA04D28A0486182229A96A| |27512945D2305CDA30A4B97F743521AA946554951BC58D9EC3D96671B6D9328023F| |E41F631651FDBE20E727718E76E013781DB8C74A05D03434F5C274C8B331BC02650| |66D4C83DA9D24EA28B29743185F25368268D2E92817610D24E236D066933C89741F| |604F966D5D8B3EFA84642CCBD67D8F458CD63C73F8F03391B06824084911B00428C| |9F149B576DE6D779C28555C6F935A008941815FAD7D58DD0716FEE9154505261060| |FA5AFF30A790586F160180FA6F061A6DC898FBEED47AAD0A32CF628177A948B3D4A| |B147596F2B389E56D9D7796785C6BBFDD1CE6BD9FA15A45DAD7BF7CF89A269ABFCD| |22E6CF1F1FDEEF1FEEDF61EE1409F31B683DC0DD730BAD63B5DEB72F73AD18EC2FA| |3FCFC0EE37| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Quote:If you continue to play around with it, might see if it's possible to slot fortitude for defense a little. As I said, the build has it's own merit, these are just the things I would personally shoot for if I were given this build and told to change as little as possible but make it "better".Changing the Numinas to Doctored Wounds might be better. I just threw in the largest Heal enhancement. My two goals were survivability and sustainability, in line with my earlier post about those. I'll probably fiddle with it some more, even though I doubt I'll actually make an Empath.

Quote:While I'm not particularly on either side of this argument, you do have recurring payments for the "licenses" for IOs, the Market, and AE. All three of those together is $9/month, so given that a sub is $10 with the point allotment, there's really only a $1 difference and that would cover the other things. No, the advantage to not subscribing is never having to pay twice(or again and again and again and again...) for any piece of content.
Granted, that does change depending on the number of vet rewards and what have you, so it may be a moot point, but still worth noting. -
Quote:This build has merit, but the recharge makes me die a little inside. That said, softcapped S/L/E and ranged is impressive in and of it's own right. Nice job. Here's a defensive build, slapped together in the middle of the night:

Kickball happens every Saturday at 8PM or so I'm led to believe.

The best way to cause a revolutionary change is to get the people behind you first, then the "government" will follow suit. In a system where people are free to come and go as they please, and those people are the same ones giving the "government" its money, this is especially true.
Just food for thought. -
Smooth like butter, all 3 badges back-to-back.
Also, in case anyone was wondering, these are the alternate/split routes I used for Well-Stocked and Antacid:
-
Nice, looks like a full house. I'll be in game in just a few moments to start gathering people up, had a few issues with my router this morning that I'm making sure are ironed out really quickly before I log in.
-
You know, I had seen this so many places, I didn't realize no one had posted it here yet.
-
-
Valid point, I just interpreted it as referring to the whole set. That said, depending on the power, I sometimes slot the ToHit, +Perception, and one common instead of the ToHit/Recharge, and I know others who will do the same.
-
The market here may be a little larger than you expect since RR is a convenient set to help with softcapping S/L defense on a squishie in PVE. Nice info nonetheless, will be interesting to see if we see a supply spike in that range.
-
Just a reminder, I still need a volunteer to lead team 2. You don't have to do a whole lot other than knowing the maps in the gathering phase, because I have some alternate routes devised to make the acids only and grenades only runs a bit less strenuous.
-
-
I don't want to take a spot since I already have the badge, but I will be online and available to help with this if you need people.
-
I eventually need to make it to one of these, it just seems like 6-8 is when all my rl friends want to meet up for coffee or some such.
