I'm at the maybe stage for this. It depends on how the usual Saturday plans shake out for me.

How about meanest bacon moments? I check my rep comments outta curiousity, and some... character.... gives me a red chicklet with this: "bacon+grilled cheese = heart attack special".
My brain is trying to work how this is a heart attack special. This is tame compared to plenty of dishes in sit down restaurants /without/ bacon in em. -
My secret meatloaf sauce is a doctored up bbq sauce. You start with your bottled bbq sauce of choice, add a bit of stoneground/dijon mustard of choice, add some sweet and sour sauce, garlic (roasted is better for this), and some maple syrup. I don't have exact proportions, but mix it to taste. Add a small amount to your ground beef/egg/bread crumb mixture. Brush a layer of sauce to your meatloaf. Add bacon, then add more sauce. Let it bake, and occasionally baste with more sauce. As the meatloaf cooks, the sauce will caramelize and turn nice on the bacon.
-
I also forgot the guilty pleasure of making meatloaf just to eat the candied bacon on the top. Candied bacon is the bacon that crisps while glazed in generous amounts of bbq sauce.

Quote:BC sandwiches are awesome. What is a BC? Why bacon and cheese of course!Try cutting the bacon up, then cooking it, then adding the eggs. Love scrambled eggs with bacon in it.
As for most extreme bacon moment? Making a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) sandwich, sans L&T.
Even better? A Bacon Grilled Cheese sammich. Nom noms.
Now I'm hungry. -
*jumps up and down* Me too, me too! I would unleash the fury of Skull herding in Perez Park, a scenic tour of the old Faultiline and the hint of a zone behind the dam, and, and, and...
There's always later for postage. -
Quote:But she has a store with lots of yummy shirts that I need to get once I get past HeroCon. If you love the art, support the store. At least thats how I'm seeing itJust stopping in to give credit where credit is due. Thank you for doing such a great service for the "City Of" community.
And to not ask for anything in return... I /em Salute you. -
Quote:And if you check sales and deals now for holiday items (yes, I've seen Christmas stuff out already), you can pick up cards for a song - I'm always looking for good deals on cards and then will store em until I need them.I printed out cards last year. I think my total outlay postage and all was under $30. I'm pretty sure I could have done it for a lot less if I had bought a box of stock cards.
Another reason why this is Coming Soon(tm). I probably should see about getting this stickied. Hmm.... -
Welcome back!
I'd like to submit Trick Candle for perusal. She's a sassy fire/fire brute (I almost typed frute) who loves to play with fire. -
Quote:Which is exactly why I declined mine and decided to give it to everyone who participated. Thanks for the generous offer mousedroid, but I wasn't interested in the prizes even if I won. I just like making costumes and helping someone else achieve a look they like is always a great feeling!
I love making costumes.
Quote:The gray knot work on the ingame pic is just a trick of the light, but now that you mention it, I might try making the highlights gray/silver instead of light green to see how they look.
I'll also have to post a pic of the alternate costume based on Alasdair's entry when I get around to constructing it.
And yes, a pic of the alternate costume based on Alasdair's entry is required. Inquiring minds want to know. -

Quote:Congrats to you as well!Well done, StormVyxen. A well-deserved success. ^_^
Thank you to mousedroid and also Starwind and Caemgen for the kind words.
I honestly didn't think I'd do this well, more than once I looked at this thread and muttered under my breath 'ooh....I should have done something like that!'
Everyone had great entries in this contest. -

Quote:They probably already jack up the price.... when they reopen for dinnerWait, are we talking about the same place we went last year?
What kind of dining establishment closes at 3pm? That's insane!
They need to be like other buffets and just jack the price up 3 bucks after 3pm.
It's not an uncommon trend for Asian restaurants to close between lunch and dinner to prep and clean the place. -
Quote:Which I didn't catch in the tally to that point. This'll learn me to check /all/ of the posts before I pick. Should I re-pick a second as I was the duplicate Australia?I saw two Australias and two Panamas (the first ones were both mine, which is why I caught them)
edit: heh, they changed Panama to Mauritania, which was also originally my guess ;O_o
Waiting for official word from Joph... -
Guessing Australia for now. Going to ponder my other choice on the way home from work.

I've got 5 hours before I can post another number - so I may or may not be back to post there. If I don't, pregratz to the winner!

Stick with two basic colors and possibly a third accent color that compliments the other two. If you're not sure, stick to a tights with a pattern. There's quite a few patterns that have that "classic" feel to them. Remember, simple can be better than trying to use every type of costume part. Go with what you think looks and feels right based on the toon's personality.
As for boots - I stick to female toons and prefer a basic leather/tight boot, often with a pattern that compliments the chest and bottom pattern(s).
More often than not, the random button can give you different ideas, sometimes outlandish, but it'll give you an idea of what does and doesn't look good to you.
Hope this helps!
