So I'm sittin at work bored to tears when I get the idea...let's create origins of my COH toons. Well, since I choose my toons powers to be something somewhat feasable (as feasable as super powered human can be), and being a comic fan (although not a collector) I thought how hard could it be. Well you be the judge. I put my current (3) toons in different threads. located here:

Graviant is truly an Alternate. he is newly created and will definately keep pace with TigreStryke or Lady Laysa. Here is his origin...remember, I was bored at work:

Dr. Gregory Timmons is the son of the deceased research scientist, Dr. Thomas Timmons. The elder Timmons was killed while conducting otherworld gravity effect experiments at the original Portal Corporation during the Reichman’s initial assault through the portal. Young Gregory Timmons was particularly hit by his father’s death, but still followed in his footsteps, taking a keen interest in the sciences with a focus on astrophysics and both terran and interstellar gravity. He continued his father’s work, using the notes found in his father’s lab, attempting to create a smaller, personal version of Dr Brian Webb’s Portal. In a fit of frustration, Dr Timmons foolishly activated a Inertial Gravity Induction device of his on design that he mistakenly thought had a design flaw that would cause the machine to do little more than create a fancy light show. He was only half right…the resulting light show was indeed spectacular, but unknown graviton particles bombarded Dr Timmons unprotected body.
He awoke with a feeling heavier for unknown reasons. His initial test showed that he had gained more than a hundred pounds, yet had not gained size…he had become denser at a molecular level. Later, while reaching for a canned soda, the can begin to crumple, as if he had squeezed it with his hand. This is how he realized that the accident had caused more changes than previously noted. Not only had he become dense, which made him more resilient and less fragile than the average human, but he had gained some control over Gravity itself. Upon experimenting on his own, he found that he had potential for other unknown powers, given enough time to master them.
Dr. Gregory Timmons now goes by another name, a name that will be not only heard, but felt by Paragon City’s many villains. You can’t fight Gravity, and you can’t stop…GRAVIANT.

I was originally going to level TigreStryke at the same rate as Lady Laysa, but I've had better luck getting teams and friends on Virtue than on Protector...it's probably just a timing thing, no big deal. Anyway, remember..I was bored at work when I wrote this:

Thomas Strickland was born a monster. That’s what his parents, Michael and Amy Strickland thought. Who wouldn’t? A prehensile tail? White, glowing eyes? Orange skin? They were warned that the experimental fertility drug they volunteered to be test subjects for may have unexpected results. Thomas was sent to a secret research facility for testing, as he was the first newborn to survive. His parents were all to happy…and then, they too disappeared.
Thomas, as it turns out, was only monstrous in appearance. He was highly intelligent, extremely fast reflexes and took to both hand-to-hand and swordsmanship at an early age. His cat like grace, patience and ferocity during combat training earned him the name TigreStryke.
The 5th Column scientists and Dr.Vahzilok created the experimental drug that was given to his parents under a short-lived joint venture. This unholy alliance was doomed to a quick demise solely based on the wildly differing goals of the factions involved. The 5th Column was looking for a way to create the next super soldier that looked and acted in a manner that served their goals. Dr. Vahzilok was attempting to create a carrier of disease that looked human and would be able to infect all it touches without being detected…the perfect vector. With both factions secretly manipulating the formula, neither could have realized that the resulting treatment would culminate in the ultimate fighting machine.
TigreStryke soon found out that he was a result of unauthorized and highly illegal genetic tampering and that his parents were kidnapped and still possibly alive. He has recently escaped from the secret compound beneath Galaxy City and is making his way through The 5th Column and Dr Vahzilok’s minions in order to find the truth about his parents…and himself…with the help of his teammates, Cannucks, INC.

Lady Laysa is my first toon...the original plan was to create 2 toons..one on Virtue and one on Protector...and level them simultaneously. Well, I've had more luck on Virtue making friends and teams than on Protector, so Lady Laysa is now my main. Here is her origin...remember: I was bored at work:

Leslie Madison was a research assistant working for Crey Industries Light Manipulation for Tactical Applications (LMTA) department. A leak during an experiment testing a newly developed high density LASER assault cannon was the catalyst that caused an enormous explosion killing all in the lab…all, mysteriously enough, but Leslie Madison, who was knocked unconscious but otherwise unharmed..
Madison stayed in a seemingly comatose state. Test revealed that the explosion in the lab induced her coma and her body was going through some sort of change. Her cells were storing much more energy than thought humanly possible. Her entire body was becoming more resistant to injury. And mysterious dots started forming on her face. Upon examination of Leslie Madison’s DNA, the doctors were able to determine that Madison was born with a previously dormant genetic makeup that allowed her to absorb and store ambient energy. They also surmised that the stored energy could possibly be released in some unknown manner. The scientist all agreed that the energy stored would HAVE to be released, or Leslie Madison would burn alive from the inside out.
Madison woke 2 months later…with a bang! Eyewitness describe seeing a bright light and loud noise come from the room Madison was in. One eyewitness went so far as to compare the phenomenon as a Nova. No body was found in the room. The doctors feared the worse had happened…Leslie Madison’s body had released all the stored energy in one giant explosion that disintegrated her body.
In truth, Leslie Madison’s body DID release the stored energy, but Madison was not harmed…she escaped during the confusion. Leslie Madison is believed to be dead. She now uses the name Lisa Morgan…and fights the evils of Paragon City as Lady Laysa. She is a co-captain/co-founder of the Super Group Hell Kats.
