RSF is used for Recluse, yeah... Not many say LRSF, that's one letter too much to type, for cryin' out loud!

Yeah, I don't say LRSF, I say MoLRSF, always. -
Ground-Wire is one of my characters currently residing on Union. Ever since the day I made him I got the idea for this picture and finally here it is.
Samson King a.k.a. Ground-Wire was once an engineer who just couldn't find a job, out of desperation he took a job at Creys as a security guard. Time passed and Samson grew more bitter about the state of his life, he either spent his days working at creys or working out. One day he got so fed up he planned to rob the facility where he worked and make off with as many information as he could, sell it and live the good life. Instead he found a prototype suit, he stole it and disappeared. Months later he reappeared with a modified armor calling himself Ground-Wire. He started a series of bank robberies before he could be apprehended and locked into the Zig. There he awaits the moment of his escape.

yeah, in completely understand your points, it has merit. It is something to be proud of when you finally reach that badge.
But perhaps they have gone a tad overboard on what you need to do. Look at Master of Statesman, it's hard to get but obtainable and getting it still makes people look at you in awe.
it's now just a shame that over 95% (and probably more) will never get even one of these 'epic'(are they actually epic or did they just get that name because they are so hard?) badge.
As I said I could probably do without every single one of them. I have peace in knowing I will never get them. (which also seems to be the case for Master of States in my case), But then there is always that glimmer of hope.
Thanks for your feedback on the matter guys.
(wonders if the devs actually read the European suggestion board, but that's another matter)

As things stand, I don't see the logic in letting, for example's sake, a Lvl 50 Empath who has all the Healing badges, being permitted to log onto their Brute and have the badges, signifying that it has also done that amount of healing.
Most people "badge" for those stupid, grindy time-sink badges (myself included) on one character...making them account wide may only please a few people who do those abhorrent chores on more than one toon, and probably not work the dev's time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not saying I want to see all healing badges on every toon, I'm just saying that i'd be nice if the last few of those badges (that are in some cases ridiculously hard to get) get an account wide progress bar. So your empath can for example help work on the healing badges your badge-hunter(that might not be an empath or have an active heal) can't get otherwise.
I for one would be happy to see something like this, for I feel no use standing for hours on a spot letting a bad guy beat me up, mez me, or spend days farming healing badges in an arena. It would just be nice to be able to get these badges by actually playing the game.
It's most cases it's still quite impressive to get it done even account-wide. Though I'm sure this will not sit well with those hardcore badge-hunters that are willing to spend hours on end doing the above things.
and after all it's just a suggestions, if it doesn't happen then well, it doesn't. I can live with it. -
with the new I14 badges that are account wide like 'Early Bird' I was wondering about something
Why not make those hard to get last 2-3 dmg, healing, inf, mez, etc achievement badges account-wide. If all characters of a person can work towards progress of this badge. This would allow players to sooner earn these badges. Will decrease the amount of non-stop farming for people and the badgers that earned them shouldn't be to bothered cause it's still only a few that will have them and it will still need an great amount of work to get them.
So why not? At the moment they are completely unobtainable for most players who don't want to keep their computers logged in day and night for an extensive period of time farming one of these badges.
Who comes up with these kind of badges anyways? :P -
Made a quick drawing of one of my characters in City of Heroes. After being away for nearly a year I thought it would be fitting.
Aeetes returns to active service to defend Paragon City once more from threats.

This all comes down to punishing the badgers for what the farmers have largely done.
I enjoy badge-hunting, though I'm somewhat more mellowed out. I also like doing story-arcs. So this was a win-win situation. I was playing the un-played un-rated arcs around so that people don't feel they have completely wasted their time on creating them and indeed I discovered there was a truckload of farming missions around, though it's not hard to recognize them.
Removing most badges from MA will drop much off my interest in it. If more people out there are like me then there will be fewer arcs still played. While the farmers continue to milk the system. I believe that's not actually the situation we want to be working towards.
That's kind of my thoughts, they should actively work on the farmers if they want to get rid of the problems. -

I should have infinite debt
[/ QUOTE ]
yes, please
Nowadays the debt is truly pathetic. -
If we need a replacment I'd go for something more in the style of the bosses from the Tsoo. We'd want something that doesn't do lethal. Oni is great because he does fire dmg and has holds and Aoe attacks. If you replace it with what you suggested it would mean a big power loss for Ninja MM's. Oni fills the gaps, your idea sounds like an more powerful version of Jounin to me.

*sigh*
When will you guys learn, it's all hami's doing.
Now that isn't fighting heroes as much as he used too he has a lot of spare time left.
In the end it's all his plot, you'll see -
Nice work
Especially like the phantom army on the side, they looks so cool. -

What I think you should do, is to subscribe to the Defiant Events and DefiantBadgers channels, and if/when you see the "Arachnos Flyer patrol beginning in Grandville." message on Villain Zone Event Messages, shout out on both channels that you wish to take it down.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, This was a good tip. Didn't know about this channel and Defiantbadgers always seems a bit empty.
I'm pretty confident I'll get it some day now. Thanks all for your tips and support.
(sry if it turned into a bit of a rant) -

Doing a GM hunt with my VG on Tuesday from around 8.30pm, starting in Grandville, then returning to GV after the other GM's if we missed the flyer first time round. You're welcome to join us if you're free. Extra people always welcome.
Shock
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd love to, luck has it though that I won't be able to on tuesday.
Look me up whenever you are doing another badge hunt of any sorts (and need another hand)
P.s. My main villain is still VG/SG-less -

With the global announcement for zone events it might just be worth sending out a broadcast in Grandville and sending out a few /tells to try to garner some interest at the time rather than hanging about waiting for it to turn up.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know, normally that would work but the flier is only in the zone for a few minutes. It's hard to get enough people interested in such a short time. Getting them to log, to the right zone, to the location. Besides there seem to be only a few farmers inside Grandville at any times and they usually don't give a monkey's behind about badges. Just checking now whether the Flier spawns at a certain time frame, if it does it should be lots easier to catch up with it
Wish me luck -

It never ceases to amaze me that people use these nomination threads as voting threads... it's been nominated, why not pick something else to give that a shot too?
If I get a hundred different people to nominate my story doesn't give it more chance to win. (and to be honest, it doesn't... but a nomination would be nice
)
[/ QUOTE ]
Good point.
I don't think most people don't even look at who others have nominated. -
The sheer enthusiasm for this idea is great *sigh*
No wonder people think Defiant villains is dead.
Grandville seems to be filled with farmers.
Guess I'll keep chasing the Flier out of the zone on a daily basis until the day i get very lucky and it spontaneously explodes and grants me the badge
*sigh again* -
The really annoying flying piece of junk needs to be put down.
But since it's hard to get log/go to the right zone/find it/get a team going/kick it's behind before it takes off again, I'd like to know if anyone is interested in patrolling Grandville in wait for it.
Cause this would be dull at hell, perhaps we could hunt PP's, TT's and such in the zone while we wait. Possibly going to Nerva to get Caleb since I noticed he did spawn once a while ago.
So I want to know, who is up for this attempt and any suggestions on time and date are welcome as well. -
Memories of Good old shadow shard and the 450K I had to clear off afterwards.

Finally got my brain lined up enough to make anotehr Supa-Dude comic.
Hope you guys enjoy it.
Supa Dude -
The strange part in my case is that it affects any character above lvl 33. 3 of my characters have been affected by the desync bug at this precise level, one of them is a I12 VEAT alt. Only exception is my lvl 50 Tanker which only seems to occassionally desync inside missions. Nothing below 33 is affected

After making my last hero I couldn't resist making a simple drawing of him.
Without further ado;
Dustbin (Deviantart) -
Always liked thinking up background stories for my heroes and villains.
This is one of those stories related to a hero of mine, Arctic Ice and since I'm not a very good writer I decided to do it in comic form.
Linky to deviantart
Hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it
edit: actually managed to forget to post the link -
Your improving fast dude, keep it up.
Really nice, especially the "death of a hero" piece -
holy sh......
Congratulations to all of you -
you certainly may.
I made the drawing of Stego a.k.a. the bowman and made a rough sketch of a moon in the back.
Then scanned the whole stuff, cleaned it out a bit in photoshop cause I always tend to smudge with my pencils a bit.
Then used grey colors to create depth and the face of the moon.(seems it's easier for me to do it in grey first then directly in color) Colored the whole drawing in the supposed colors and finally added a few simple effects.
and voila this is what came out, happy that people enjoyed it.
