yeah he had been grinding xp with me for some time and even the best of us are not that coherant/funny at 5 am. Another problem I have is that just because I know that I am on an alt i seem to think other people should know it too. I have made comments before in pvp, got abuse back, told them to check their global list and got profuse apologises back. The same thing from a friend or stranger can be taken so differently.

Base TPing is wrong IMO it ruins the feeling in the zone and causes normally easy going happy pvp players like myself to go nuts and wipe the zone with vitriolic glee.

Base TPing will cause newbies to the zone to more than likely leave and not come back

Base TPing will piss off players who are organing to come out and fight you to the extent where they may no longer fight and just play "TP wars"

I see it serving no good purpose, Im not going to go on about "ooh im a villain, I act bad...." it turns a fun pastime into venom and depending on who you upset your pvp experience can become less fun to say the least.

Shooting and throwing stuff at people in base is another matter, if they go AFK while bounty hard luck to them, i wouldnt mind coming back and being dead if I afkd. If you are not AFK u can easily move out of the way of any attacks.

I couldnt care less if the base is or is not supposed to be a safe zone, personally, its all about ethics.

ok, i will never again exaggerate, roleplay or in any way be melodramatic, to alternate the other boring text info... i will resign from using this forums (exceptions from my 'Union Leaders' post in the future, so that non of u ppl ever get reminded of high-scool bullys again.. i appologize to all the ppl that been crying all night long coz of my 'evil' posts, and offended ppl that felt infirior to me. having 10 lvl 50s dont mean im beter at PvP, but it do mean i have alot more experience, since i played this game several more hours than XX% of the ppl here (since i dont wanna make another loose statement i XX the numbers). It suprises me that ppl that get so aggitated coz i use the statement uber-VG and we are #1 active SG (its a fact that we are #1 active SG on union, check the top 100 ranking) has the balls to say that we arent that good??? like tainted greek has ever met us in the base-raids??? do i dare to assume u just made an assumption, based on ur own high thought of urself?? how is that any better than me? in your oppinion we arent that good.. unless u can back that up with any sort of facts, u should appologize.. since thats the same crime i did, to become a target in this forum!!!!!!

I made a misstake thinking that my obnoxious and tough attitude actually would create a more melodramatic figure and add some flavour into the posts i make, trying to be more than just an info-mercial. as of now, tough-guy will be the Violator representant on theese forums. Thoose that still uses 'Union Leaders' can even be man enough to confront me there if they have any complaints, or just quit incase they feel that they no longer need mine (or the community that nests there) advices.

Since im starting to feel persecuted in this post, i will no longer be interested in facing up in the discussed challange. and calling me a chicken and try to call out Violators to be all talk, and no action, will not work.. if u feel u want a good, honest fight, ur free to claim our IoPs in i7, and if u just feel u wanna humiliate me (or my VG) u can come and devestate our base.. but i will start taking notes in Bloody bay/Sirens Call/Warburg/Arena chat on who claims what, and i will seek out theese SGs/VGs in i7 and focus on the destruction of ur bases if u even breathe that u are 'uber'/good/or the dreaded: better than u comment..

I personally see no need for "willy waving" and making grandiose statements, but then again I dont get roleplay, I really dont. I dont dismiss it or deride it in anyway just I have a fairly analytical mind and simply dont get it, it seems like it may be fun though.

You may be a good VG, you may be great at the game but in my humble opinion I think attitude and drama needs to be played down as it can clearly go the wrong way and make people feel "persecuted", this is not just directed to Dr Death but to many on the boards, and in game, whose attitudes are built on self aggrandising, but then as i said I dont get "into character" so to speak. I would personally never deign to say I am a good pvp player, i let my abilities speak for themselves be they good or bad.

each person is inherantly worth 1 pvp point when you kill them, however it seems you have to be within a close proximity to the player when they die (either by you or a teamate) to get awarded the pvp point. for example if you are in a team of 8 and you and 2 others are close to the enemy when he dies you will all get 1/3rd of the pvp point, if 8 of you are close enough then you get 1/8th and so on.

Players who have a high pvp rating already will award you bonus pvp rating when you kill them, the bonus is worth 5 pvp points so if you kill someone with a high pvp point you have the potential to earn 6 pvp rep points or a percentage of.

A VG/SG can still be well-known outside of PvP, especially if it's members frequently team with non-members.

no fun coming out just to die, they may be organising or anything. tping people from safe locations is more likely to make people leave the zone for good than to actually indulge in any real pvp.

TP foe is a great power for splitting a team or pulling back a runner, people who base TP are not ethical players IMHO

well of the top of my head many people on the cov ALSO have coh and as such could swap to hero, tp an enemy player into the hospital, log on their villain get TPd into the hospital too by the villain already in there.

Playing a hero doesnt mean people are not jerks

Know your opponents build and how he plays is a better one theres a blaster, lets call him fraz () and i have played against him for some time now and I know pretty much what hes going to do and when hes going to do it then I just drop in and kill him

It was very different today and I am sure I contributed to it, I entered the zone which was pretty spartan of heroes and a friend swapped sides to join me, no sooner than he had logged in than he was TPd out of base and ganked. This in itself put my back up and then they tried to tp me. I advised them not to do this or I would form a team they wouldnt like. Hospital TPing continued so I swapped to my warshade and droned anyone within range. I am sure those who know me will affirm my total dislike of base TPing and droning so for me to get the red mist up to the extent where i myself indulge in this practice is not regular occurance to say the least.

So I rpoceeded to keep the hospial area clear till my "squad" arrived when i got onto my controller and we pretty much laid waste to the land, it wasnt fun and I didnt enjoy it, someone was acting like a jerk and I projected my "annoyance" onto others.

Its a shame because it should ahve been a great day with lots of people in there and it actually boils down to one jerk base tping and snowballing from there as far as I can see.

I was certainly in much more of a "seek and destoy" mode then usual and apologised to many in game for my less than laid back attitude today.

I have 3 Cytoskeletan - Endurance & To Hit & Defense Buff HOs that are no longer required in my build, they are perfect for tactics/Targeting Drones and PFFs/Bubbles. I am looking for 3 Damage/Range HOs (Centriole)

(oh and as TGs controller on defiant had 400 pvp points about 2 weeks after COV was released I can only assume that a union player has equaled the feat )

it only takes one empath in the zone to take away stalkers hidden advantages, is that fair? As a simple analogy its just rock paper scissors, A beats B, B beats C, C beats A, there are plenty of ways to rain on a stalkers parade. Every single AT can beat stalkers, to name but a few sets, SR scrappers can see them, Ice Tanks with CE upset them, controllers and defenders with pbaoes mess them up and of course there is /dev.

depending on build stalkers take a lot of skill to play, take one squishy AT (stalker) take no defence and still ahve a jolly old time in pvp is my recipe

They blow in PVE though.

Im having fun with my Fire/dev blaster from the US making stalkers lives very difficult, to be honest I feel quite bad for them when im in the zone
