    In Reno

That's the motel located between the AE building and the hospital in Peregrine Island... nice find!

    Reno huh?

What are you bringing me back?

Beat you to it and added it to the Protector Activity Calendar already.
  3. Was great fun, as usual, and I even got to meet new players which is always a pleasure.

I was on Hyperstrike's team and we had a blast facing Arachnos in our first mission.

And by "blast", I really mean "a hell of a time preventing endless team wipes".

But please - no one tell SapphireShot about this part. She'll think she single-handedly saved our butts, and we can't have that.

Apart from the fact that I can't view it using the Friends window (crashes me to desktop every time), it's doing very, very well - especially with the influx of new players these days on Protector.

As for the N P C channel, you can follow the link in my sig to learn more. There's a cool announcement coming Soon™ about the Mentor Project too, hopefully before the week is done.

To demonkid99: Blazing_Blue pointed out something that I forgot: Protector's activity channel is named Protector Vigilance and you can join it using a similar command:

    /chanjoin "Protector Vigilance"

Looking forward to seeing you ingame.
  6. Meanwhile, if you want assistance while you're actually in the game, type the following command:

    /chanjoin "N P C"

This will grant you access to the New Player Channel, whose sole purpose is to help out new players get into the game, or give pointers to returning players.

We also offer personal, one-on-one mentoring (via the Mentor Project) for those who would like to have a vet show them the ropes. This is valid cross-server and even in Europe now, with over 110 registered mentors, and was originally conceived on this very server.

    Welcome to Protector!

    Mentor Project

    Welcome RoseT.

I received your registration already but won't be ingame until this evening to promote your account to moderator in the N P C channel.

If no other mentor got to it before me, I'll get that done tonight.

And by the way, I like your suggestion to add technical expertise to the list of skills / experience and will be adding it as well.

    Thanks
  8. Aw dammit!

Did no one change the locks like we were supposed to?!

    ...

    I mean: hi there GA!

    How you been, good buddy?

    That up there? Yeah...

    That's a ... herm ... a typo.

    Yeah.
  9. Stalemate

    Forgotten about?

I sold all your stuff already.

    But...

    Happy Birthday!

I tank with all my characters.

Most often unsuccessfully, but still I do it.

    I'll be there Tuesday.
  11. Don't hold me to this, but here's what I think are the most populated servers:

    Freedom
    Virtue
    Justice
    Infinity

I tend to min/max only the characters I know I'll keep, or will serve a purpose on teams in the long run. A character using only the generic Single Origin (SO) enhancements can still be very effective.

I knew there was a reason I liked you.

I agree wholeheartedly with that last statement.

Some tasks might go easier with certain team builds (such as "Master of" runs on some Task Forces), but the general case "any build, any level" goes for me as well.

To SchandlichCOH: Please join the New Player Channel hosted by the Mentor Project (/chanjoin "N P C") and feel free to ask any other questions you may have while ingame. The forums' generous players will always be here for more details and expanding concepts, but when you're in the middle of things the N P C mentors can really help you out too.

    Win.

Examples of "the line", using characters from modern lore:

    Hero: Superman, Batman, Spiderman
    Vigilante: Punisher, Midnighter, Wolverine
    Rogue: Robin Hood, Deadpool, Magneto
    Villain: Golden Ace

    See?
  14. Personal Tip: whatever server you're on, you still stand a better chance of finding teams if you start them yourself and then advertise them in the established global channel(s).

I'd have to say that so far this was it for me as well.

Not just the character interaction (tried it twice giving different answers), but the idea of having zowies opens up a lot of possibilities in future arc development.

I'm taking my sweet time with exploring Praetoria and may have to resort to soloing my way through these 20 levels to soak it all in, since most teams are too "next-level hungry" for my needs.

I've added this to the calendar, hope it can still help.

Just now realized it hadn't been.

Note: those who get email notifications will get it instantly

Not this time, but I have taken advantage of accumulated hours I claimed when other releases occurred.

    I liked the pics.

Especially the ones where you're fighting off a Rularuu-like beastie.
