Tbh the only people I respect on this section of the forums is Con, macskull Rent and supermax as they're about the only 4 people who give genuine advice without shooting people down, or come on here with their OP ego smacktalking empty talk.
smeglolhead and barrier are just pethatic excuses for people who claim to help the pvp community, and I can't make a single post anymore without barrier putting me on autofollow and attempting to destroy my every post. It's sad.
Go on I dare one of you to ask either of them exactly what it is they have in for me? Their most likely answer? "you're annoying" i've heard it before, ask them why? especially barrier, he wont have a reply. -

Here is a perfect example of barrier trying to get his feet wet into something to do with pve and then gets wrekt by himself, and then brings pvp into it because its about the only thing he doesnt suck at.
for the record this guy went emo about me asking him why he had incinerate on his domi, and thus /ignored me ingame. GG.
also spam moar RSF recruits on AC please. -

Also you claim you try to maximize your inf per hour, considering you're someone who admited he has a cheap build, you are certainly not maximizing your inf per hour, maximized build + higher level then downs skill > your bad farming.

Also I don't know what map you are farming, but its bad, good brutes use broke ambush AE farms who spam bilespray leik lulz. Thats if they arn't failing at farming for purples in normal maps. Both ways stop thinking your the best at everything, you're not. -

Super rough math follows (there is no Arcanatime here, son):
Footstomp damage over recharge = 2860/10 = 286 rough DPS
Ball Lightning damage over recharge = 3110/15 = 207 rough DPS.
The math is very rough (no Arcanatime, no cast times, Hasten not in the mix) but the fact remains: Even if you hit the target cap every single time, Footstomp still does more damage over time.
In non SUPAR SEKRIT AE FARMZOR situations, Footstomp totally blows Ball Lightning or any other patron AoE out of the water. Higher base damage, large radius, faster recharge.
Unless you're fighting something that is weak to energy damage and resistant to smashing damage. Like Freak Tanks, I guess. But choosing to farm something resistant to your primary and highest source of damage for something weak to your secondary and lower source of damage is pretty silly.
Also while I'm more than willing to farm and get some numbers for you, inf/min doesn't mean dick as far as proving your Ball Lightning does more damage than your Footstomp. Run Herostats, that'll show you how much damage your powers are doing.
Edit: you're probably fighting Freakshow, which would account for Ball Lightning doing more damage. And if that is the case, that speaks more to the nature of your farm than the relative power of Ball Lightning and Footstomp.
I'm skeptical of BL still doing more damage than Footstomp even in that situation because of its DoT nature even if you throw it out before Stomp most of the tics won't land because stuff will have died. I've found I get much more damage out of Dark Obliteration than I did with BL because while it has lower damage, the damage is all dealt up front whereas I was only getting the full benefit of BLs higher damage on bosses. -
