God I hate that intro, makes me feel all cheap and tawdry. And this costume... I feel like I'm an extra in "Conan" or something... or Princess Lea's stunt double. At least metal's fireproof... although I wish it wasn't heat-conductive.

This is really nicely done... and so CUTE!!

The trick to lighting in Poser, for me anyway, is to paste in the background you intend to use, and then move the PRIMARY light(s) around until the shadows on the model are aligned with the shading on the background. Fill lights and ambient light don't usually have to be adjusted unless you're going for a night scene. Those are tricky.

Of course, I've been doing perspective 'doodling' and 3D raytracing for awhile... can't draw for shyte, but I've got a good eye for perspective and composition.

Only ray gun I know of is the Crey Cryo-Pistol.

But yes, it's the ultimate accessory for the Golden-Age Tech or Science hero.

Torch Juggler is an aerialist and 'pyro' performer from an alternate dimension. She's cute, she's kickin', and she likes tossing flaming objects around. And she REALLY likes artists... you know how circus folks are, especially Carnies... always more fun when there's an audience for the 'performance art'!!

Yeah I have DoF on because although it makes me feel nearsighted, if I have it off stuff 'pops' into existence a surface at a time, which I find is... annoying. VERY glad to finally have a card that can deal with that.

Bloom is.. meh. Probably end up turning it off. But as long as my FPS doesn't drop below 20 I'm happy.

Not bad... seems like the set is AoE heavy, so you'd need to balance it a bit.

But yeah. art appreciation will be both subjective and objective.

Because the viewer is going to inject their preferences and aesthetic sense into the artwork.. and judge it according to how it all matches up.

We can't avoid doing that. So objectively... you'd have to be aware of your own 'preferences' and not judge by those criteria. Which probably wouldn't leave you much to judge on.

That's my thing with Royo, his work is excellent, but most is a bit TOO barbaric for me.

Not that I don't like it... it just doesn't 'fit' my characters all that well.

Except for La Diablesse or Baroness Samedi. A Royo take on Samedi would be the ultimate.
