As expected, I'm going to be out of town/game for a couple of weeks. I know I'll miss at lest the next two weeks, and the week after that is a little dicey. So, I'll see you when I get back. Have fun without me!

Quote:Pfft, boyfriend? We see how we rate.Sigh. I miss these but, unfortunately, my time has been very tight with school, work, and spending time with my boyfriend. I log on occasionally but it's usually not for long and mostly with the boyfriend.
Just wanted to say hi and good luck on future SFs!
You should drag him along to SFS, that way we can tease, er, um, I mean welcome him to the fold. -
Quote:You must be further inland than I am....lucky.Also, Sokyoku, I resent your comment about swamps being in NC. I refuse to believe that there are any here. At least in my area there aren't and that's all that matters. LOL
Quote:ill bring Scarab again Sok, that way you have a brick wall to hide behind for the Mitos this time..........
Quote:We won.
Not only did we win, it was actually a very successful run over all. I think there were 4 or 5 deaths and that's it.
To the person that got turned away, I'm truly sorry.), but I am very pleased that the SF went ahead as planned. Much more so that it was successful. Grats to all those took part and to all the shiny new badge winners.
My attendance for the next SF or two might be spotty as I've been told I have more out-of-town work in my future. Next week's SF is Mender Silos or we can restart the rotation with Tarikoss. As I said before, I may or may not be able to come, so I'll leave the decision to the forum-going members of our group. -
Quote:We try not to discourage participation, as it tends to work against our goals.Hey guys,
I'd be up for joining your Strike Force Saturdays. I have a level 42 villain named Aurora Rose with mind control and ice powers with a heal subset. Let me know if you'd be interested... Looking forward to joining you all. I've missed task forces and am very glad that you are running some!Feel free to join us, but I will note that your villy is level 42 and Barracuda has a minimum level of 45 (that's the SF scheduled for this week).
On a slightly unrelated note, I might have to go out of town for a while (which precludes my attendance for this week's SF). I don't know if any of you have seen the weather lately, but it's been raining for a week in NC and is causing some flooding, which means that they will very probably need to rework some bridges. Bridges require builders, builders require surveyors, and that's where I come in. I'll know tomorrow for sure whether or not I'll be dispatched to some God-forsaken-swamp-hole, so I'll let you know then.

Last night's SF went well, and we even tried for a master run. If someone hadn't thought he was invincible ...*cough* my faceplant on the green mitos, of all things...we would've made it. The team was forgiving, only forcing me to give up my first born and six pints of blood as retribution. Despite my apparent efforts to the contrary, we pulled off a win.
My screenie got messed up somehow, so I'll have to post the results the old fashioned way:
Team
1)Tripp Breaker (AKA Faceplant Frank)
2)Rin Hatake
3)Crimson Mystique
4)Windflower
5)Vampir RaDuli
6)Stiria
7)Hypnagogia
8)Cilicis Scarab
With a time of 1:48:XX. Thanks to all for a pretty good run.
Next week is Barracuda SF. We'll see you there! -
Quote:*Might* is better than *not a snowball's chance...*.Looks like I *might* be able to make it to this one, as long as I don't have to work at the last minute again. :P
If we end up needing extra mez I can always bring my necro MM, I think between him and his pets he's got like 4 holds.
We'd be glad to have you, IF you don't get roped into working. -
Quote:Sweet, I'll swing by Grand this Sunday and see what the deal is.MoLRSF runs are done most Sunday mornings at 11 am central. I've been on the last two and both have been great fun and sucessful.
Quote:The run I went on with Kid had 2 corruptors layering Ice armor, at least 1 rad
corruptor, a stone brute (Kidengineer) taunting States & friends. Only Kid got within melee range and the rest of us just opened fire from a distance. -

Quote:I've got a dom, but he's only 38....I'll try to get him into level range before hand. No promises, though. We will need some mez to use against the green mitos. Demon Shell has two holds, so that's 6 mag. I think we need 15 total, so if we had a Dom to use Domination, we'd be straight.

Quote:Woot! We'd be glad to have you, Stale.Long live SFS.
Hopefully, in the near future, I'll be able to join in once in a while (now that I'll have a character on that side).
So does this mean we get to stand by the door and chit-chat, while you solo the whole thing?
Quote:I'm definitely up for joining one. As long as you guys don't mind a Stalker.)

Like the title infers, SF Sundays have been moved to Saturdays at 8 PM (EST). I kinda dropped the ball last week and wasn't ready in time for the SF, but I'll do better this week.
Speaking of this week, I'm still up for a RSF rematch if there are no objections. Warburg nukes (bio/chem) and shivans would be very helpful, but not required. If anyone needs/wants help attaining the aforementioned nukes/shivans, I'll gladly do so, just send me a tell/PM/forum post with the when and where. Or, we could just take about 30-45 minutes before we get started and make a nuke/shivan run. I'll leave that up to the team's descretion, as I've already got the toon I'm bringing ready with nuclear goodness. See ya's there. -
Quote:Done. I was kinda leaning that way, since I, too, like to attend the hami raids. With the Hami raids at 6pm eastern it might be best to schedule the SFS at 8, that way if the raid runs a little late folks can still make the SFS.
I'll probably start a new thread to reflect the change in days/times when I get home from work.

I've got a blaster that I haven't played in a while, and this sounds crazy enough to be boat-loads of fun. Count me in with my Archery/Ice blaster.

Quote:Sweet, thanks Stale. I almost forgot about the calander.Whatever happens, those who can edit the Protector Calendar can edit the series to reflect the changes.
It sounds like there are no objections, so Saturday it is.Now, the only question left is what time? I would suggest somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-8ish PM (EST). My schedule on Saturday is usually pretty flexible, so any time in the afternoon works for me. Again, just let me know so I can deal with GF aggro accordingly.

Quote:It was a little bit of a bummer, but that's how it goes sometimes. This run was kind of a bummer. 1 person dropped and we ran out of time for the last fight. Kinda surprised me how hard they hit =P. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. I won't be able to make it next week, but good luck on whatever you guys decide to do.
Quote:That's pretty much what happened.
I maintain that if we hadn't lost that Bubble Mastermind that we would have won, easily.
Demon and I have been talking about moving this to Saturday, so as not to conflict with the CoP trials. I realize the Hami raids occur on Saturday, but those only take in the neighborhood of an hour, hour and a half, tops. Objections? Thoughts? Opinions?
At any rate, I'd love to give RSF another shot if there are no objections. Just let me know, so I can prepare accordingly. -
Count me in, too, with the aformentioned nukes.

Quote:Don't let this fool you, it took me the better part of an hour to figure out.Ooooh! You are learning, Grasshoppa!
This is the last week for Summer Quarter. I may join you this or next Sunday, depending on my availability before I have to start up for Fall classes (Sept 20, >.<).
As always, you are welcome to join us anytime. Good luck with school, btw. -
Quote:Too slow, Stale. I already clued him in.Meanwhile, if you want assistance while you're actually in the game, type the following command:
/chanjoin "N P C"
This will grant you access to the New Player Channel, whose sole purpose is to help out new players get into the game, or give pointers to returning players.
We also offer personal, one-on-one mentoring (via the Mentor Project) for those who would like to have a vet show them the ropes. This is valid cross-server and even in Europe now, with over 110 registered mentors, and was originally conceived on this very server.
Welcome to Protector!
