Elmer Gorbulorp, my Huntsman:
- Does not have Phase Shift or Hibernate
- Is a defense-based character
- Has no purple IOs, only one set of relatively inexpensive PvP IOs (Javelin Volley), and most of his enhancements are under level 30

Great turn out last night! Had a lot of fun.
I wanted to ask the Virtue community (PvP'ers, Non-PvP'ers, RP'ers, PvE'ers, noobies, everyone!) what kind of PvP event they would like to see on Fight Night. I've gotten a few requests already and I thought I would ask on the forums as well. This isn't just my Fight Night, or Virtue PvP'ers Fight Night. This is for anyone and everyone who is interested in learning and or experiencing a casual/competitive/fun aspect side of the game that maybe they haven't thought about trying out yet.
So with that being said, feel free to PM me your event ideas. RP, themed, tournament - whatever!

Name: The X-Patriots
Currently Recruiting: We are currently seeking active recruits, of any level, AT, or origin to join our ranks.
RP Level: RP-friendly organization
Theme/Concept: This organization was founded with the belief that Paragon City is no longer truly a government by the people and for the people but rather a city run by the might of heroes, not the rule of law. Fleeing to the Rogue Isles, disillusioned former heroes banded together to prove it... in flames if necessary.
What grew from these humble idealistic beginnings would eventually be known as the largest and wealthiest mercenary group to work the Rogue Isles and menace the "good" people of Paragon City. With a rank-and-file membership composed of thieves, murderers, vigilantes, anti-heroes, and every other criminal shade of grey that walks the Isles, the X-Patriots are commonly known as a ruthlessly efficient para-military outfit. Behind the scenes however, their true leadership still works towards that original goal, their wealth and their might focused on organized crime, corruption, and the downfall of the "City of Heroes".

Activity: Members are commonly on throughout the day, with peak activity during the evening hours of Eastern Standard Time.
Requirements for Membership: Members are expected to log on at least once per week unless notifying the leadership of an absence. 100k prestige and registration on our forums are required for promotion to soldier status and access to base storage. Further promotions based on merit. SG mode is appreciated, but optional. This is also a family-friendly group with policies accordingly.

I'm going to stick with regular Kickball again this week since I haven't had much time to plan out something else. I'll probably add in some 1v1's if anyone is interested in that as well. And Warburg will be our designated zone. Next week I will be doing set teams. If anyone has a team of 2-8 that they would like to enter in for NEXT WEEKS competition please sign up here or send me a tell in game. More information on that a little later in the week.

The turn out was, to my surprise, very decent. We had enough to run several KB teams. I think next time I'm going to try something a little bit different, so I will be posting on that soon....

Fight Night hardly started with Generic Villian, you are dismissing the other many many hosts of this Virtue tradition. IMHO Fight Night came into its own back in i7 under Pillbug, Elernet, and Sneginka. I love the videos Tabbycat made of the first few Fight Nights. To me it's a shame that this event lapsed over the years. Although it's true that this Kickball event sponsored by PvPEC isn't quite what Fight Night used to be, I hope with a little time we can bring it back to its former glory days. I regret that Fight Night had retired its status before I was involved in the Virtue community and got to enjoy it. I've been talking with a few people who were active with it back in the day to get some ideas, and in the great tradition of the former hosts hope to put a little of my own spin on it.
Since this is the first night I figured it would be best to stick with a very simple event such as Kickball. I hope to try a few other fight genres as things progress. As you seem to have a lot of experience with Fight Night, I would love to hear any ideas you might have on how we can make this the great event we both want it to be.
For now, unless you know what number we are on lets just call it Fight Night 2.0, lol. -

Its a different Fight Night.
If memory serves me correctly the PvPEC Fight Night is just a rename of their old Kickball Tournament and not the old Virtue Fight Nights that GV used to host. -
KICKBALL EVENT RULES
- Levels 47-50 only.
- Depending on the amount of players that join, Kickball's will range from 1v1s - 8v8s.
- All matches will be 10 minutes in length.
- All matches are required to leave Diminishing Returns enabled, Travel Suppression disabled and Heal Decay disabled.
- All maps are set to random.
- Small inspirations and arena purchased temp powers are allowed.
- Please be respectful to your fellow players by refraining from "trash talk". A player may be disqualified at the event host's discretion.
Please try to arrive at least FIFTEEN minutes early to register for all KB's.
ZONE PVP
- Zone PvP will occur after Kickball. Fight Night zones include: Bloody Bay, Sirens Call, Warburg & RV. All levels are invited if they fit the required level limit of the zone.
Miscellaneous/FAQ
- "What is kickball?" Kickball is a format for informal Arena combat. Two captains are selected, who take turns choosing players for their side until all are chosen. The two teams then fight for 10 or 20 minutes.
- All fight nights are for fun only!
- You cannot send tells to someone if that person is in Arena. So if you show up late and need to get a hold of me but can't, send an in game email to my global.
- "Where do I go for Kickball?" Meeting place for Kickball will be Pocket D upstairs by the arena kiosks.
- "How do I register?" You may register by sending me a tell 15 minutes before event starts for guaranteed spots in the first match. Anyone who shows up after the hour may need to wait for the next match.
- If you are a lowbie and not able to join in on the Kickball, but want to experience the Zone PvP, you are welcomed to send me a tell for the estimated time on how much longer the Kickball's will be going on.
