His build, in case anyone was wondering.
I would calmly suggest a nice little jaunt over to Terra Volta, and respec for damage. Dead mobs can't hurt you. -

While Ice gets its toggles early as well, you can skip at least two of them (CE and Icicles) until much later (if at all). Ice also gets Energy Absorbtion which totally negates endurance concerns.

Wuh? Skip the best taunt auras? Who does that?
Agreed with you on the EA comment. But it's still a long road to 26. I slotted heavily for endurance pre-EA, and still maintain a few in my build, even with Stamina and EA. -
I still think that comparing the durabilities of an Invulnerability tanker to a Shield tanker based on an ITF is silly. Apples and oranges. Or, should I say, oranges and purples.
-
In my peronal opinion, a well-built Invulnerability tank will outlast a well-built Shield tanker. That being said, a well-built Shield tanker should be able to withstand most, if not all, of this game's content.
Take that as you will. -
These are all great! Keep them coming!
I hadn't seen the Fly Trap before, George looks really neat!! -
Yes, screenshots may be more boring than fan art, but this one's for a good cause!
I have not been able to find ANY website that has pictures of allll the various pets that players can acquire in CoX. With that being said, I challenge these boards to come up with as many pictures of pets as possible! Everybody who has a character that can summon anything should be snappin' some screenshots! Controllers, Masterminds, heck, even Defenders and some other villains. Got a temporary power that gives you a pet? Screenshot that too!
Let's get a good database going of what everything looks like. Personally, I've never even seen Jack Frost or an Animated Stone. And fuhgeddabout any of the higher-level Mastermind pets; I've never gotten that high (I think I need the screenies as inspiration!)
So! In order to make this more database-y, let's follow a simple form:
ARCHETYPE:
POWER NAME:
PET NAME: (cookies for creativity!)
SCREENSHOT(S):
If you have multiple pets on one toon (Masterminds, Illusionists), just fill one out for each type of pet.
Let's see how this goes!! -
NOTE: This is all Out of Character, because I can't seem to get IN to any character I'm happy with...
I want to play a Natural character for some reason. Science is anappealing due to the fact that I don't want to be some mad scientist or a scientist who screwed something up. Mutation is too easy to do. I dislike Magic, for some strange reason...yes, it's a fantasy game, but I kinda like the real stuff better, I can get into it more. Technology, I could probably live with, but I always just want to make a robot-looking character and those get boring. Natural seems like it'd be really really fun to do...but there's just one problem!
I can't find many Archetype / Powers that go with Natural!
So far, the only ones that I've found that can be done are...
BLASTER:
-Assault Rifle
--Devices
--Energy Manipulation
CONTROLLER:
-Illusion Control (it's a stretch)
--Empathy
SCRAPPER:
-Broadsword
-Martial Arts
-Claws
-Katana
--Invulnerability
--Super Reflexes
--Regeneration (stretch)
DEFENDER:
-Empathy
--No secondary...
TANKER:
-Invulnerability
--Battle Axe
--Energy Melee
--War Mace
--Super Strength
Now, from the list above, you might be thinking, "Hey! There's lots of options for a Natural character, what's this guy talking about(aboot if you're from Canada)?"
Well now, this is where I get picky. I'd like, if possible, to be a ranged character. That alone excludes Scrapper and Tanker, which subsequently takes out most of my options. I also have an aversion to guns...I'm ont a total hippie, but given the choice I'd never hear a gunshot ever, certainly not in a game that's supposed to be fun for me. That means that Assault Rifle and Blaster are out, and all I have is an Illusion Controller, something that I think is a huuuuge stretch in the first place.
And there's my dilema. I don't know what to try or what to play. Any suggestions or things that I've missed out on so far?
(Also, if this is in the wrong forum, please tell me. I need help roleplaying, I figure this is where to go.)
