    Don't spoil it...

    LoL glad you liked it.
  2. Yeah, I like Issuu alot but I still do prefer PDF.

I am glad you enjoyed my comic. I was wondering if you received my message.
Since you liked it, please check out issue 2. I just set it in my thread and it is live now.
Let me know what you think btw. As much or as little crits as you can give me both negative and positive. They help alot and mean even more.

Also if you ever need help with your comic, like an extra person to make a toon and log in and pose while you take screen shots, I am there in an instant.
  3. Here it is. For your viewing pleasure...
The Justice-Knights issue #2 : Division and Reunion

That is a direct link and will take a few minutes to load as it is PDF.

For the main site, the link should be a few posts above.

Something I want to point out in this issue is the photoshopped art. There are just two things done, 1 you probably wont notice and the other is the front page. It was done my Mad Mummy (thank you mad) and its awesome.
Also I used demos for the first time to get a few of these shots. Thanks to Hell for helping me figure that out. I try and still limit the demos though. I believe I only have about 6 to 8 frames that are demo shots.
The rest are all live ingame shots, the way I like them.

Hope you all enjoy this and please again give me some feedback. If you guys want the issuu type of setup again, I can work on that but for right now, unless anyone says anything, all issues will be in PDF format for now.

Enjoy and please post your crits here.
    Thank you!

    -Sin
  4. I will be there. I going there for other reasons but there is no way I am missing the CoX booth.
First con for me aswell, just like several others in this thread.
Last time I went to something was for the O.C. meet and greet and I went there from Arizona.

I'm glad to finally be able to read this great comic. And I mean great! Very well done, a hefty 60 pages and each one was very entertaining. All those screen-shots, I can't imagine how much work it was getting this together, but the results speak for themselves.

I like that each of the Heroes has an arch-enemy. D-Hack and Nurse Frigid are my favorites (Frigid has a very fun characterization, and I always am a fan of Tech characters), and Abraxxas (Jesse Ventura! ) is all kinds of fun. "ARRMORRR!!!" is right up there with Evil Malibu Barbie's "REVENGE KILL!" Sin Stalker reminds me of Daemodand in that he is the leader of his team but isn't a natural leader at all, but somehow manages to struggle through it.

    Looking forward to Issue 2!

Thank you very much! I am glad you liked it so much.
Nurse Frigid was definatly alot of fun to write. Abraxas was too but not as much.
I am looking forward to what you and everyone else has to say about issue 2.
  6. Okay so I am posting here because I believe... I hope... that I was able to get this thing working. You see I've been trying to get the PDF format viewable to you all and here it is... I hope...

    Direct Link
It will take a minute or two to fully load.

Just incase that didnt go through, here is the page right before the PDF. This may work better.

    Site Link
This way it will still take a few minutes to load.

Hope this works and if it does I will be posting the second issue shortly.

    Thanks all!

Been meaning to post here for a while.

Great work on issue 1. Extraordinary, especially for a first issue.

Good overall design, good character selection, good camera work (the falling scene on pg 49-50 must have been hell to get, but looks great.), and excellent writing (you manage to punctuate some of the more serious scenes with well-balanced humor). I really would enjoy seeing more.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The second issue is complete. the third is 1/3rd done.
I am just having problems finding a place to upload the 2nd issue. The person I was relaying on to upload it has gone MIA.
I am also trying to find someone who can upload the first issue, PDF, onto a website. So if you or anyone else knows of someone or somewhere, for the second issue or possibly both first issues, that would be great.

On specific topics brought up here:
    -----------
Others have mentioned the "dark" images. They didn't bother me in the least, but the laptop I'm on is ridiculously bright. Sometimes that's a challenge with different-brightness monitors (things are considerably brighter on my LCD than my CRT- one comic I did was initially unreadable on CRT).

If this concerns you... and If you have some image-manipulation software, something like this might help bring out the important techniques:
-- select the "main" characters, increase brightness on them,
-- invert the selection, reduce brightness on them
-- give a blue filter to the page to hint to low light.
    -----------

    [/ QUOTE ]

It does kinda bother me but I dont know how to use or own photoshop or anything like it. But I have a few SG mates who apparently do so Ill try out those tips next time. TY

    Regarding "PDF vs Online Viewer"

I prefer PDF's, but most hosting services like smaller incremental access. If a person sees a page-at-a-time you get many more advertising "hits" than if they get the whole book in one download, after all. The online 'flash' viewer you used is quite a step above the (apparently defunct) hypercomics viewer I once used.
    ------------

    [/ QUOTE ]
I prefer PDFs aswell but unfortunatly I dont have anywhere to upload them, like i said above.
And yes, I am mad at hypercomics, or as they are called now MashOn. There website is 100% completely not working correctly and it wont let me upload to it via the comic book creator option. ><

    "FREEM"

You make much better us of Onomatopoeia than I ever did, but you may have missed the April Fools City of Heroes press release (available here) that said they were adding such "visual sounds" to the game (and removing all other sounds).

"Freem" has since taken a life of its own among many community members.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I see. Dang I cant believe I missed that ><. Thank you for the heads up. I was wondering about that.

Thank for posting and the feedback! Means alot.

  8. Sweet! So Happy there are more to be made.

I just read the 2 new issues in the new arch man. Great work. Word bub placement got me confused in a place or two but it was probably just me.

It was awesome and I really enjoyed it and I am super looking forward to the next issue.

    Again, great job man!
  9. Sweet, thanks Ex. You rock!

Also, Mr. pop, what is Freem?
  10. Oh trust me. I prefer a straight up PDF. ITs what I originally had. Unfortunatly I couldnt find a single place that would take the PDF file. Its all in this other thread from over a month ago. How i couldnt find a place to host it, how its a big file and yadda yadda yadda. This is the best I could do.

The reader was awkward for me to use the first time too but after using it for a few minutes, I got really used to it and enjoy it.

You simply just need to click on a page and it zooms in. You can only choose between 3 distances and I prefer the farthest of the 3 zoomed in. You change that by the different sized A's at the top.

Here is the link to that other thread Here.

Also if anyone knows where I can upload a straight PDF file for people to view, let me know. I have many more of these issues to come.
  11. Thank you, Thank you. Glad to hear more feedback finally.

Godly, you pointed out my favorite part, which is the last page.
I am curious about which parts you find disjointed because of the panel format and because of the lack of a background on characters. You can PM or just post here but I'd love to know in more detail. Anything people can tell me I want to know.
Its all about improvement and I always want to be improving.
Especialy for later issues. I have around 25 to 30 issues planned out and the first 8 issues already written.

    Thanks again.

    Bloodbath

I am impressed. really great job.

Id say I love the seethrough effect you have on the liquid. I love the look of it too... although for blood I agree with the others. Splatted blood would be a cool effect too.

    Really a superb job. gratz.
  13. Thanks.
The second issue is almost all but done.
I am having a few setbacks... but oh well, I'll think of some way of making it work.
  14. Thank you.
Yeah the screen shots are dark but there isnt too much i could do about that cept take them during the day and that wouldnt fit with the storyline.

Glad you are curious about issue 2. Ill have it done asap.

    P.S. I appriciate the post.
  15. Sin_Stalker

    The Alt Alphabet

All really cool. I like alot of your alts.
  16. Thank you. Yeah there probably should be more action and i plan for it. There are just two problems, 1. there is only so much i can do with screen shots until i need to use a demo or photoshop and 2. anyone can experience the action for themsevles in game so a still shot of action doesnt measure up to what City of is. I do want more action especially in future issues.
    Thanks again for the reply.
  17. Okay. Now that i figured out how to do a UBC or whatever its called (not that forum savvy so I apologize) I will post a direct link here.
    Justice-Knights Comic here!

This should be a direct link so you wont get music when you open up the first page.

    Thank you.
  18. Cool. I posted it Its the Justice-Knights comic.
  19. The following is a link to the full length comic book I made. It is done by City of screen shots. It will be an ongoing comic book series. each issue will be normal comic book length. The first issue however is an extra size issue.

The site that is currently hosting the first issue is a my friends net radio website. The comic should be in the middle right of the page. It will appear small and youll have to click on it. At that point a popup will... pop up and it will be the Comic in a format you will be able to zoom in and out and so on and so forth.

    http://www.imradiov2.com/index1.htm

I worked many hours on this every day for several months. Please check it out and let me know what you think (both negative and good) and please keep your posts in this thread so I can find and read them.

    Thank you all very much.
  20. okay cool, ty, btw i was looking around at stuff and saw that 58 alt thing, very cool. great job on it.

I hope you can check out my comic and let me know what you think about it aswell.
  21. I have a fan made coh comic book. Is this the right area to post it in or should i go to comic culture or mutli-media?
  22. I feel.... somewhat...
    jipped...
As a scrapper lover anyway. I mean fire/fire?! you coudl j ust have gotten a tank. It honestly isnt that big of a leap. I was really hoping for Energy Aura to go with the already present Energy Melee.

Teamspeak/Ventrillo Server: Working on it. Attempting to get a server or whatnot ( still not sure how it all works) and was ripped off by 15 bucks.
SG Peak Hours: On at varying hours but usually evenings and late nights.
Other Info: We have been around since CoH started but didnt become a larg SG until this past year (2007). We are in the top 100s (top 20s) and refuse to use our SG members a "prestige pawns". We leaders believe the SG is here for the player and NOT the other way around. Respect and Friendship is what we are all about. The Justice-Knights arn't leaving CoH until the servers go down.
