Team Wreckless challenges all SGs to live server matches on freedom.
Team Wreckless challenges all SGs to an STF race. -
Actually, matches between rens and GMW were pretty close. Their last official spanned 5 matches. GMW also had several respected players - Zero, DJ, Siph, bloody, ajax, myk, kaiserin, fulc, m3z, and more. Vert was a highly under-rated offensive powerhouse too. Infact, GMW was almost akin to a vilside version of PX.
We can get into the back and forth controversy of Renegades using exploits/blah blah blah - but they certainly were talented players for the most part. I played briefly for OS (a hero side version of Rens). I loved playing with Fates, Ownage, Rogue, Spec, and Max on offense - they were increadibly fast on locks (except for Ownage. Ownage can't lock to save his life) . G.mim was a very solid emp too. -
Thank you lt. I had assumed that it was a malfunction in the rear coagulators, but after a closer look, I found that they were perfectly adjusted.

No son. You didn't have green.
Silit's Jupiterian rainbow = Red-Orange- Yellow- Red- Blue- Purple
Havok's Earth Rainbow = Red-Orange- Yellow- Green- Blue- Purple
[/ QUOTE ]
On my screen it shows it as green. But I think I may know what the problem is. The normal "green" was too dark. I wanted a lighter green. So I used " red" (note the space). This appears green to me, I wasn't aware that it appeared differently to others. -
My rainbow was totally right. But they only had one shade of purple. So I combined indigo and violet into one.

I doubt it. I was probably on my fire/regin, and that thing never dies :O -

2) What does blue mean? =o

I aranged the roster in alphabetical order, and then assigned rainbow colors accordingly. You happened to be in the blue section of the rainbow, lol. That might change pending additions to the roster. -
This is to beat terrible i13 PvPers. Dose any1 want get rake?
Mel, welcome aboard. Supermax, I don't really know you much, but it's all good. Tell me what PvP toons you have on freedom, and hit me up in game some time so we can kick it (my global is @Silit). -

I was under the assumption that the 20+ was a guess or rough estimate and not a "compulsive lying problem".
Then again, what do I know
[/ QUOTE ]
Thank you. In practices, UJL frequently lost by over 20 to GMW, though. I probably just saw a few of those and asumed that UJL was bad.
Blood Mark, Just stop. I'm not reading your new posts because they are very long, and I think we are done here.
As I remember it, you claimed that the largest spread of points was GMW up by 12 (which still means you got pooped on). That screen clearly shows you (yes, you were in it) getting raked 14-0 by GMW in an official match. Are you a compulsive liar now for claiming that the largest spread was 12? By your mongoloidic logic, yes.
Get raked noub. Team Wreckless 4 lyfe son. Shout out to my homie Super Deveron.
Zulu: sorry this happened in your thread. It's all my fault

Yeah, wow. Sneaky, where are our "Elite PvP Coordinator" Titles (or w/e we were supposed to get)?
-
The real one is in the Ppv Arean section. What toons do you have on freedom, mel?
-
Yeah for realz man. Test server has always been UJLs domain. No one on our roster has ever had success there. We can't risk it brah.

I'm to lazy to finish this. Tox, hit this up dawg. -
Renegades tried to recruit all of my players, including me (I didn't create RPvPH, Sneaky and Tox did. But they bailed and went to WoW, leaving me in control of an SG that I didn't recruit. Note that I left RPvPH shortly after). Renegades actually offered to merge with us, as long as we agreed to drop you and black barrier. I knew who blood mark was, but I didn't recognize your forum name. That doesn't change the fact that you managed to get farmed on a stalker in i13, be very late on locks, and inconsistently get ASes off.
You are right about one thing: those matches where UJL lost by 20+ points were not officials, they were practices (Which is just as funny).
Here is a pic of UJL in an official match.

Barrier: Let me quote Silit " Going in for AS, oh [censored] I hit Lunge instead"
Deadly: "Oh [censored], was I supposed to be ASing?"-Silit
This is just example of Silit's awesome stalking skills.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those were jokes. They occured in matches where we were already rolling our opponents, so none of us were trying. We still laugh about that. I never remember anyone accusing me of locking slow or getting farmed on stalkers though - for one simple reason: I'm not retarded enough.
[ QUOTE ]
Fact, the biggest death count against me with RPvPH was a single match where I got dropped 4 times, on no other occation did I die equal or greater than the second stalker on the team, with no occasion where I died more than 2 times
[/ QUOTE ]
Dying 4 times on a stalker is aweful, especially in i13 pvp. I only died once *ever* on my stalker in our matches - and that was due to the unfixed TK+ KB bug. I had never played stalker before i13, and if I can manage not to get farmed, it really shouldn't be hard for the starting stalker from UJL. You got farmed in virtualy every practice I put you into. Never did Void or Divine die more than you did. Void and Divine were exponentially faster on ASes than you were. If that isn't true, why didn't you start for a more reputable VG than UJL?
Answer: It is true, you are terrible. -
I don't mind barrier at all. But I've seen several screenies of UJL losing officials to GMW by over 20 points, practices weren't much different. GMW and Renegades were much better than UJL, no one debates that. You have to point out specific instances where UJL beat rens/gmw. It was never a common place occurance. If anything was common place, it was UJL getting rolled. As the leader of RPvPH, I started all of my stalkers in practice by rotating them in and out. My starters in officials were Void and Divine - and there were quite a few others that would have been infront of you. You were a farm target, and managed to die several times in most matches you played in. In short: you weren't started because you were aweful; stalking in i13 was perhaps the easiest role ever to exist on a test PvP team. All you had to do was lock decently fast, run up to a KBed target and press the AS button at roughly the same time the other stalker ASed. Evasion was laughably easy. Yet, you managed to be terrible at all aspects of this easy role. That isn't a lie. UJL was bad. You are terrible. Your views on PvP are less informed than something Super Deveron would write up in five minutes. I'm not going to argue over what should be how in PvP, because that would be pointless. You've already made four lengthy posts, and I honestly don't care to read a another. You will have your views, and I will have mine. In the end, you are the guy from UJL who clings to the idea that he is a respected player from a #2 VG. I think that says enough.
-
[ QUOTE ]
First of all you need to check your facts. GMW did not end the season at the #2 slot, they ended #3. They LOST their last official scheduled match prior to their departure. The #2 slot was taken from them according to ladder rules in a match.
[/ QUOTE ]
GMW brought a joke team of 6 to that official, since they didn't have enough people show up. Most of them had already called it quits after hearing news of i13. The fact that you managed to beat a joke team of 6 in a 6v8 match is hardly impressive. I don't remember UJL even comming within 20 points of GMW in most practices and officials. You starting for UJL is also irrelevent, since they only had one good stalker anyway (Nicor).
[ QUOTE ]
For all teams involved I was the starting stalker, with enough skill to be considered a reasonably good player
[/ QUOTE ]
You didn't start for RPvPH. Divine and Void were the starting stalkers. I don't think anyone in RPvPH considered you to be a reasonably good player, either. Except for Void, of course. He really appreiciated it when you gave him tips on stalking.
[ QUOTE ]
anyone with any competence was away and still living
[/ QUOTE ]
And yet you managed to get farmed time after time.
[ QUOTE ]
I could point out that the devs agree with my opinion
[/ QUOTE ]
Because being in agreement with the devs generally puts you on the side of reason... Oh, wait. Having an opinion is one thing, but quoting the devs as a standard of right action in any case is pretty uncredible (much like UJL's reputation as a PvP VG).
[ QUOTE ]
shields are about as effective as they were in i12
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, what?
[ QUOTE ]
You obviously don't know this, but combat jumping hasn't been "unsuppressed" movement since i4.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Classic, you might want to check your facts. This has been a bug since the beginning of time that the devs have stated they do not intend to put resources into fixing. Combat jumping does not suppress when you attack or are attacked. Please feel free to post on the PvP forum and ask so you can be enlightened since you dont believe me, or for that matter just enter the zone and try it yourself. Clearly there is no reason to bother responding to any of your other evasion comments after that debacle.
[/ QUOTE ]
Combat jumping itself didn't suppress, but you still moved at the same suppressed speed, even using combat jumping. If you had your movement speed monitored in your combat attributes, you'd probably have noticed.
I'm sure it's safe to say that by i12, 3 slotted hurdle and combat jumping for more efficient movement wasn't a revolutionary concept. The movement was certainly just that - more efficient - but not faster.
It all boils down to this: A coordinated team should require coordination to overcome. I'm not sure how anyone can disagree with that. -
Alright, champ.
[ QUOTE ]
Since you asked, I got involved in the VG ladder over 2 years ago. I stayed with my starting team until the bitter end of the original ladder, which found us in the #2 slot prior to the ladder collapsing soon after the pending i13 changes
[/ QUOTE ].
I can tell you right now that there were a total of two respected VGs in i12 (Renegades, and GMW - both of which held the #1 and # 2 spots). I can also tell you that you didn't play for either. Meaning that your claim of being on a "#2 slot" team is only made possible by the fact that the teams above you dropped the ladder before i13 hit. As for me being an "elitist", I'm not the one who claimed to be a hardcore test PvPer. I'm also not the one pretending I was in a #2 ranked VG.
As for coodination in zone PvP - Are you honestly suggesting that players shouldn't heavily benefit from coordination with others? If so, I think you are playing the wrong game.
[ QUOTE ]
You may not know this due to your comments, but combat jumping is still unsuppressed movement
[/ QUOTE ]
You obviously don't know this, but combat jumping hasn't been "unsuppressed" movement since i4.
[ QUOTE ]
It's good you didn't write that book here, as it would have been completely pointless with your confusion over the arena vs zone topic currently being discussed.
[/ QUOTE ]
I was tempted to dignify that with a response, but then I realized that it was comming from the same guy who said this:
[ QUOTE ]
Uncoordinated damage spams from uncoordinated players to out-do an emp's heal should occur
[/ QUOTE ]
As for the comment that I supposedly took out of context: I didn't. Perhaps it was my fault for not being more clear. Despite resistance and defense buffs on a player, it is still increadibly easy to bring the player down with little if any effort or coordination.
Over Evasion in Zone PvP: there were a myriad of ways to stop a target from evading. Dominator holds/TK, KB powers, Slows, loltpfoe; the list goes on. Infact, that alone is what gave several powersets viablity in PvP which under the i13 system they no longer possess.
Am I saying that the i12 system was perfect? Of course not. There were plenty of things that could have used improvement. I totally agree that evading in zones was a bit too convienient - but consistent and unrelentless suppression is not the answer. What happens when you do fight that coordinated team using even semi-decent spikes? Does evasion need to be more difficult? I know the common conception is that "most teams in zones don't call spikes". In truth, back in i12, even teams from casual SGs like PvP Heroes and United Heroes called spikes on vent. Most other teams called targets in team chat . Even if that weren't the case - creation of coordinated teams should be encouraged, not discouraged. If teams are encouraged to put out better gameplay you get an atmosphere that is more competative overall.
My suggestion: Rather than suppression - give the target a reason not to over-evade. Create actual objectives in zone PvP. Rather than just a bunch of Heroes and Villains fighting in one sanctioned area (isn't that what arena is?), zones should have desireable objectives that are imperative to the success of the players (the pillboxes in RV don't cut it, at all). This way, when a player evades to the point where he is simply running away from the action, he is abandoning his objective and is no better to his team than a dead target.
Obviously that isn't THE DEFINATE WAY to go about it. But it's a concept. As to what the objectives/rewards for completing them would be: I don't know. I'm not a dev.
