  4. So I've been warned that this will be a long story... For the last long story I made a "Cast List"... for this one I shall simply append to the story post.

Part One Cast, in order of appearance:

p.s. I've been promised Part Two by New Year's!

I really like Steamshot. Well done on the look.
  6. I'm still giggling at the last line.
  7. I'm getting a story, right?
  8. Completely photoshopped, I'm only an artist with a camera but can't afford a real commissioned piece of art. It fills both of us with glee though.

Comrade Smersh & Siberian Spring out of armor.

I don't know if these fall under "unusual" or not, but two of my favorites are Cold/Rad and Dark/Archery (both Defender. ). Both are effective solo or teamed, with adjustments to playstyle accordingly.

    Cold/Rad build

Comments welcome, but I'm kinda really happy with this. Mostly I'm just bragging.

*edited to add sidenote - A RL Smersh would be played by an older Jason Statham. Spring looks like (and is built like) an auburn haired Bettie Page. Alisa (in Smersh's post looks like Claire Forlani.

Dark/Rad/Psi does fairly well, just missing out on the pet sets. Dark/Elec/Psi can take the pet sets, but that's at the expense of the to hit debuff sets.

I've been doing a little thinking on this project. I'm considering (very vaguely, and probably won't do it) a breakdown of slotting diversity - what powersets can slot the greatest number of different set types.
Umm... dear.. This is Dark Miasma... you can slot -to hit in Darkest Night and both -to hits in Fearsome Stare.

    Dark Miasma:

TG: Healing, ToHit Debuff,Accurate Healing, Accurate ToHit Debuff
    TP: Slows
    SF: Defense, Resist Dam
    PG: Holds
HT: Targeted AOE Damage, Stuns, Slows
FS: Fear, To Hit Debuff, Accurate ToHit Debuff
    DN: To Hit Debuff
DS: Healing, Holds, Immobilize, ToHit Debuff, Accurate Heal

    Electrical Blast:
    Aim: To Hit Buffs
BL: Targeted AOE Damage, End Mod
    CB: Ranged Damage, End Mod
    LB: Ranged Damage, End Mod
    SC: PBAOE Damage, End Mod
TC: Ranged Damage, Holds, End Mod
TB: Targeted AoE Damage, End Mod
VS: Pet Damage, End Mod, Recharge Int Pets
Zp: Ranged Damage, Sniper, End Mod

    Psi Mastery:
    Dom: Ranged Damage, Holds
    MH: Sleep
    MoB: Res. Damage
    WC: PBAoE Damage, Confuse

    Fighting:
    Kick: Melee Damage, Knockback

Defense Debuff is missing, what else?

    Have two accounts.

Although, I do have two... I think it's a little like cheating so am not doing it.
  17. Khelds I just can't get into, though I have one of each. And Blasters, just too damned squishy without enough mitigation.

Give me a Tank/Brute/Scrapper/or even Stalker for defense. And Controllers/Corruptors/Dominators for a mix of damage/mitigation. VEATs for damage/defense.

    Or better yet... Defenders! Win!

Masterminds are kind of an "other". I don't play them much but like them a heck of a lot better than Khelds and Blasters.
  18. I'm a weird one. I move using the arrow keys, powers in tray one are number activation, the first five powers in the 2nd tray are activated by QWERTY. 3rd tray is CTRL+#. Insps are F1-F5. So my mouse is only an occasional tool. It also bugs me to have a useful power hidden, hence the 3 extra trays (MMs have tray 6 flat on the bottom of the screen).

This would so get my vote, if... ya know... we voted on this stuff. Heck, my defenders are in melee often enough anyway, it'd be nice if there was a Buff/Debuff AT designed for it.
  20. I don't "match" sets; i.e. Fire/Thermal, Cold/Ice, TA/A... with the exception of my Dark/Dark defender and that's only because I have a Dark/? character for each secondary (plus Fire/Dark corrupter).

  22. Any thoughts or opinions on the combo?

Tech based Praetorian resistance type hero.

[s]I did a rough build out in SuckerPunch, but don't have the IO knowledge in my head to actually perfect a build on SP.[/s]

Redid it at home with Mids... built for with an eye to damage and accuracy with a side of recharge.

The character is a prior foreign government/military mathematical/techno wiz. Thoughts? Ideas? Am I totally nuts? Wait, don't answer that last one.
  23. Just for casual play, depends on my mood... but if I'm undecided (or am on a team that needs that little something extra), I grab my Cold/Rad.

Buff/debuff goodness, fun to play, and a character I love to RP (if that's involved at all)
