Got my electric/electric blaster sitting in Atlas... Just need an invite.
Settled on electric.. I like the look of it. Sapper or not. Any toon in Iso is fun. -

Leaning towards an electric blaster. Did the archery thing with a defender. As well as sonic with my rad/sonic. I guess I could try ice since everyone says it does nice single target damage. But the sapping part of the electric sounds like a fun aspect to it. -

Gonna try to hop in the next Iso run. Probably a blaster since I only ever tried one... ever. Not sure which one yet. Just not fire (did it) and not the rifle one. Open to suggestions. -

Power Customization - This is cool and I'd never say it was a bad thing, but I've never been so conceptually hamstrung that I couldn't make it work within the current limits. Of course, I usually work within those limits to begin with, rather than creating something divorced from the game and porting it in.
Powerset Proliferation - There are some neat things being moved around, but also some lame ones. I could see myself giving Brutes another go with Claws (for the extra end efficiency) and making a Plant/Cold Controller (both sets look interesting, but I could never find a paring with them I was satisfied with).
Difficulty Changes - This is a huge win for me. My IOed characters have grown out of the default difficulty ages ago. Now I'll be able to customize the difficulty to something more suitable to each character. My /Fire Melee Tanker is going love making large spawns to saturate his AoEs.
Now, they did say more features to be revealed later, so who knows what else is still left. New content perhaps? (Though that may all be going into GR... hmm...)

Well... there is probably a reason my very first toon ever... empath/energy defender is stuck at level 42... for over three years...
It is sad but true.. empath is just basically less needed in the high levels. Helpful yes. Needed no. Now you can say most any toon is not really needed, but on a team with good players who have fleshed out their toons.. they just don't need an empath.
My empath is stuck at 42 for 3 years.. but my dark defender dinged 50 and my trick arrow/archery defender dinged 50 and my rad/sonic is in high demand and climbing fast. I would rather play any of them before logging back in as an empath.

Your time away is understandable and was frankly, the right thing to do.

As for the game.. well.. I5.. like some of it.. hate some of it.. hoping it swings the right way.
