Over the last week or so I have been putting my first real serious effort into playing with the market, mostly in the form of flipping a TON of salvage of a certain kind for tasty profit.
This is good and nice but...slow, very slow. I think I have enough cash at this point to start treading into the big boys game but im not sure how to go about it. Any tips you ebil marketeers? -

I would guess that's the primary reason it probably won't happen. They don't want to seem like they're directly copying CO, even though it's a mechanic that's been used to death in fighting games for over a decade. In no way did CO invent it.
How is it any more a departure in playstyle than Dual Blades' combos are? That was a radical new mechanism unlike anything that was in the game before and it got incorporated just fine.
My understanding from the thread above was that you wanted to be able to do more damage on demand, to stop "holding back." I was looking for a new mechanism that wasn't a direct port of an existing one like Fury or Domination. The concept of a per-power charge-up meter is seems perfect to me (of course since it's my suggestion of course it'd seem perfect to me!
).
Still, given that it's a central part of CO's attack mechanics, debating its merits probably falls into the "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin" category, which I think is a shame.

The devs still post on the forums, however the dev digest is broken right now, you have to search for their post manually by going to advanced search, setting it to display by post then entering their individual usernames. Twitter is just a nice extra, I like it.
*edit* Also the devs are crazy busy with closed beta right now so it should be expected that they will be fairly quiet. -

Yep. Quite happy with the programming crew about now. Funny: we somehow missed this in the patch notes, but there was another note that referred to it in the known issues list. One of the beta testers noted it and asked, which got me to realize the note was missed and that prompted Posi to twitter which brings us back around to this post.

There IS a mac version allready available. Now a ps3/360 version is just VERY VERY unlikely. This game was designed to be run on a system that uses a mouse/keyboard as its primary input. Also to publish a game on 360/PS3 there is very expensive liscencing fees involved that make it not the best idea for business especially if it flops. Another thing, even though the 360/PS3 are nice publishing it on those systems could potentially prevent integration of future technologies since the PC version pretty much has to match the console one.
