  1. Well, I'm only recently back to the game after a long hiatus... and have virtually no experience with Invulnerability... That said:

6 slotting for damage isn't a good idea. Once you hit SOs/level 25 generic IOs, you'll want no more than 3 damage slotted per power. (It's more complicated with Sets) More importantly though, you want accuracy. Accuracy is too important to pass up. If you have 6 slots... I suggest at least two dedicated to accuracy. (Though at level 20 I wouldn't suggest more than 5 slots in your attacks... you're ignoring your defenses too much.)

I'm not a fan of flight on melees. Combat Jumping's defense and combat mobility is just too nice. If flight truly is your thing, I suggest Air Superiority for it's knockdown crowd control. (And it's decent as an attack chain filler.)

Unless you're going down the path of the Fighting Pool for Tough and Weave, Boxing is strictly inferior to Shadow Punch. However, it's a fine choice so long as Tough and Weave are in your future. BUT you should have Temp Invulnerability LONG before you pick up Tough! I'm surprised you don't have it already.

You seem to be missing one power choice from your list. I really hope it's Unyielding. You really can't pass up your status resist power.

At this point, if you were looking to respec (which you may not... and that's fine) I'd suggest dropping Boxing to pick up Temp Invuln. Swap Hover with Air Sup. Make sure you have Unyielding (which you should... but you may have grabbed something else... if you did, drop it!) and dial back your attack slotting 5 to bolster your defenses a touch.

In DM you can skip Confront, and with either Boxing or Air Sup, Shadow Punch is skippable. (though I've never gone without it.) I know Invincibility is key to the Invulnerability set... but can't offer much advice past that.
  2. Thanks Feycat. That's good info.
  3. Thanks for the info everyone. Never knew the markets were server common before... though this is the first time I've actually played on more than one server.

I knew of the Architect Missions, but nothing about them. I'll give it a try.

My "good ole days" very much included the villain side. It was tougher to find some recipes, but the cost were so much more manageable. My villains were always better outfitted than my heroes for that reason. (Though "Frankenslotting" was more common.)

I guess I don't understand the merit system yet. I ran 10 tip missions to make my Stalker into a Rogue, but didn't notice any special reward for that... and tips seem to come in slowly. So that makes the "farming" of them less apparent to me, I'm sure.
  4. So I've recently returned from a long hiatus.

I've observed that hero & villain markets have merged. Also noted, that unless my perusing has been EXTREMELY circumstantial, it appears that all server markets have merged as well.

My question is, where are all the recipes? And WTF happened to salvage prices?

    On recipes:

Used to be, in the old segregated markets, you could actually find collections of IO sets in the mid 20s. Focused Smite and such, were relatively cheap and common. Occasionally you'd have to wait a level to get the Acc/Dam IO, or dip down a level from your ideal. But the recipes were there. Now, seems I'm lucky to find just one or two of anything, and people want an arm and a leg...

    And salvage...

    Holy #^(%!

Common salvage... with thousands upon thousands on the market going for 50,000... 100,000 influence?!?! I get it when Mu Vestment is expensive, but Human Blood Sample? Iron? Spell Ink is going for 20+ times what it used to, and there's clearly not a shortage.

How the hell is anyone supposed to build out junk sets to level with? Even generic IOs are insanely expensive due to the salvage manipulation.

Merits can't be the answer... 24 levels of arc completions only earned me about 140 Merits... barely enough for a decent recipe or two. Much less the salvage to make it. (And clearly the way you use merits is on the uniques.)

What have I missed? What do people without hundreds of hours of high level farming do to while leveling now?

Groups of minions falling? When was this guide made and WHAT has happened to Dark Blast since then?

I can barely kill a minion alone, it takes many, many attacks. Did Dark Blast get a drop in damage... As in about a 90% drop?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Uh... then you're doing something wrong.

Seriously, nothing's really changed for Dark. I have a DDC @29 currently. Dark Blast and Gloom are only 4 slotted and I have zero issues with minions. (Slotted with 4 Ruins... which is 30 some % accuracy and 80 some % damage with a dash of end redux and recycle.) 2 Glooms and 2 Dark Blasts or 3 Dark Blast and a Gloom drops most minions, IF I'm not using Tar Patch.

Groups of minions are defeated by using TT and Nightfall. (Along with Tar Patch for the damage boost and FS to pre-lock down.) DDC's seriously melt minions into the darkest depths of hell.

While I'm here, I have to note, Nightfall should be slotted to increase range. Range enhances the arc of a cone as well as it's depth, and range increases are quite noticeable on NF. I highly suggest getting as much range into it as possible (after damage and the obligatory accuracy.)
  6. Very cool.

    Thanks for your help!

    Too bad they aren't unlockable...
  7. Can anyone help me here?

The guy doing the team teleport... the tribal flame costume. How do I unlock it? I can't find anything about it.
  8. Yes, 6 slotted AM (all recycle) is perma if all the SOs are 2 levels above you... but the ability to slot it for end recovery is priceless.
