  1. There are just too many da** possibilities with this set.

    This guy started out after I played against a stone tank in cage matches with both my Cold/Dark and Sonic/Sonic. I was able to do good things with both builds and thought the Cold/Sonic would be an awesome combo.

    So, I guess the question becomes how good is sleep in pvp? I'm not a pvp player per se so I won't be spending lots of time trolling BB but wouldn't mind finding an awesome combo I can take into a match from time to time.
    Another would be do i have a better shot at AVs with Siren's Song or assault in my pocket?

    I've been able to do some fairly impressive defending with my TA character. I can't tell you how much is due to what powers (ie. freezing rain as opposed to PGA) but i can say that with a TA/Ice, you can even step in as your teams alpha absorber.

    That said, I really like what Flash Arrow does even if it doen't seem like a lot on paper.

    You sure you don't have room for Siren's Song in your solo build? You won't need your three single target shields. Infrigidate, Snow Storm, Shout, Howl and Shockwave are nice but not essential. No need for Vengeance, Recall Friend, or most of Medicine pool, if you've got those.

    I guess the question we should be answering is, whether you should skip Siren's Song, or whether you should skip some other power you're on the fence on? Which other power are you on the fence on?
    Basically, I was building toward being able to multi sleet while having not terrible defenses.

    I've been going back and forth between assault and siren's song for a level 49 choice. Assault add lots of damage when you consider the -res. I can only think of accidental multi group aggro for siren's other than using it for another (small) aoe.

    Here's the general idea for where I'm going with this build (and yes, I will have a team friendly other build for TFs and the like).

  4. After playing a Cold/Dark and a Sonic/Sonic to 50, I've decided to make a Cold/Sonic. I've been working through a solo build for him and it seems that siren's song will not be particularly viable. I'm just wondering what the more experienced Cold/Sonic fenders think of this.

    Yeah, I figured to do a immob/soul drain/burn/aoe/laugh/kill off de boss dance with groups.

    Will I need immob for things like AVs if i use burn or will they be immune for the most part?

    Burn Confusion

    I was planning on making a SS or DM /fire brute and have been checking the forums for advice (as usual) and there seems to be a fair amount of brutish ppl who have soured a little on Burn. I know the radius is small, but the amount of damage that can be applied seems to make it a good choice combined with any of the aoe immob powers in the epics.

    What am I missing?

    PrincessDarkstar: Yeah, i know the mire's are pretty end heavy, but I was thinking of using it just before a boom when i would have ample bodies to recharge with. The idea was to spend the most tanking time in human form actually as it would get the best overall defense/resist when Eclipse was up and switch to lobster when mezzed to break it.

    Justaris: I think you have a good point with Unchained Essence. Would probably make better sense to take a taunt power for use while playing tank/troller. The Stygian Circle comes up in good time at ~16 seconds so I figured that should be fine.

    This build really just started out as a mids exercise to see what kind of defenses I could get into human form (which is why the order is borked). When I looked at the build afterward all I could think was Tanktroller.
  10. I was playing around with Mids and came up with a strange defensive build for my warshade. Thought I would see if you guys had any input on it beyond it would be so expensive as to be realistic.
    And yes, i have some of the powers out of the order I would place them in on live.
