Slow Animation Times.

ATM, i am seeing if it is viable to build a fire/ss with the fire epic for pvp. Endurance is the big issue, but im hoping with IO's i can sort that, as FE+rage+fireball/fireblast/hurl/blackwand and char would give decent ranged damage.

yep, hurl alone makes it viable, not for the ranged damage, but the ranged -fly.

Rage is great, considering 10secs downtime is nothing in comparison to a 2 minute buff when all others last 10 secs (cept fiery embrace which is 20secs for fire based attacks).
Also, the downtime can be used to taunt away in team matches.

SS is the next best thing after EM, and in somemany respects it is better.

Just that damned recharge time of KOBlow...

Its got very useful powers in; Superior invis, Deceive, ST and PA and blind. mixed with rad, it is definately viable.

right, been called away on a family emergency, and wont be back till 11pm on Sunday. However I would like to make Sunday nights the test server pvp night, which would coincide nicely with KS's monday night pvp nights.

Look mate, I wasn't having a go. As someone whom has also organised pvp competitions & nights etc, along with Cherry and KS, we are trying to help inform you on ways to encourage as many attendees as possible.

OK...'Old School pvp'
1) Always allowed the use of insps.
2) Always allowed the use of any powers available.

I also applaud you for trying to get some pvp going, however you will always upset peeps saying they are not 'old school' if they disobey rules 1) and 2) above.

Rename it: Scrapper or EM fest!

But hey, im soo 'new school', what would i know.

Tell you what...shall we arrange a pvp night next sunday on test? If you like we can say random matches. If enough from defiant,union, zukunft, or the french one, turn up, then we could possibly have a rumble.

lots of good pvp again tonight. Seems like pvp is kicking off again on onion big style

rv the other night was great....the tables turned back and forth over the space of an hour or so..great fun. Lots of old faces and some very capable new ones.

Really glad to see gat and uncle al back too. I honestly think if Defiant were to want to challange Onion again, this time Onion would rip them apart

Kinda makes you wish for a union vs defiant 2...

erm, Pentad is balanced.

erm...not intending to flame, but can i point out a couple of things:

1) I have played a number of players who have used TK on my toons, with a varying degree of success, depending on the player. To claim it is overpowered though is a little 'harsh'. To use TK effectively in a pvp zone requires some skill, and I think it is a great concept for the 'defender' AT (or mind troller).

Remember - if it is really getting on your nerves, just pop some break frees (3 or 4 iirc) and go punish the TK'er!

2) PvP in this game (I must have only said this a thousand times over the years!) has been designed around a TEAM concept - ie, you get the balance and fun out of it primarily when you are teamed.

Can you really see a defender standing around and laughing whilst tk'ing your tank/scrapper etc..when you are teamed? Even teamed with just one other person, will allow that person to help you remove yourself from your predicament

I don't have TK on any of my toons beofre you ask, but I absolutely believe it must not be tampered with!

The amount of peeps over the years that have said after an arena fight:"damn that mez gets annoying.."

The other beauty about super strenth is Hurl. A -fly with a great range is awesome in team pvp.

Also, heavily underated is Hand-clap. Jumping into a group of 3 enemy squishies and letting one of these rip, can become a royal pain in the backside.
