I find BAB's judgement of Aquaman to be appallingly trendy and ignorant.

Quote:Isn't the Julia set intrensically connected with Mandelbrot because of the Julia islands that show up?This is true of all fractals; hardly unique to the Mandelbrot Set. See Julia Set and Weierstrass Function for more info.

For those who don't know what the Mandelbrot Set is, here's an image.
What's unique about the set is that no matter how far you zoom in, there's more and more detail, making it literally infinite in scope. Clearly, the Mandelbrot Device was some kind of reality warping machine that could spell DOOOOOM for all of existence. -

Be careful about what you joke about. With recent heavy-handed trends toward globalism, this is almost the truth.

I'd believe it. Penelope reminds me of a personal friend of mine.

I just grabbed "Megabrain" on Liberty. Can't get more comic bookish than that.

Scirocco [Electricity/Storm Corruptor]
After years of serving Archanos and Lord Recluse, the man named Scirocco eventually began to tire of the pointless brutality and violence and injustice caused by his Masters and made his escape to Paragon City. It took many years for the much hated man to gain the trust of the Heroes, but after sealing the magical rift under the Hollows they welcomed him with open arms. -
I found cecity just fine on Google.

Two words: Summon Pirates.
They could have cutlasses and explosive cannon balls and stuff. -
Quote:I'd pay to see it.That totally needs to be recreated, with the Indiana Jones theme music playing in the background.
"Clockwork ... WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE CLOCKWORK?!"
You are correct, sir. -
Occasionally I hint at Destructeon being the constant, bothersome thorn in Scythus' side. Other than that, I have two other villains of mine (Madame Kilner, Kali Souldrinker) in Scythus' villain group. Also, said villain group is coalitioned with another villain group that has yet other villains of mine (Mistress Bloodwrath, KAOS-219, Baron Ironfist, Poison Lips) in it.
I also like to think my heroes are all familiar with each other (for example, Destructeon and Supercollision were likely scientific colleagues before they were heroes). There is potential for my mystical hero, Shocking Freeze, to be at constant odds with Kali Souldrinker and Madame Kilner (both magical beings in their own right). -
Quote:Unfortunately you'd have only been one Clockwork Paladin down and three more to go.Ah, I just recalled one of my earliest CoH experiences.
Me and my buddy were hunting mobs in KR and we ran across something new to us. We found about 4 Paladins, all in one area. These were the first GM's we ever saw. We deduced that one of them must be the leader, and that if we take it out then they will all die. -

Quote:Oh yeah, they really kill me.I was under the impression that their raging stupidity was intended to provide game balance since they're so tough individually.
I also find it odd that animated corpses who don't notice their comrades getting picked off right next to them still have the capacity for snappy banter and witty repartee. (i.e. "Here comes the meat aisle." or "Dinner and a movie, perhaps?") Apparently, Dr. Vahzilok chose to keep that part of the brain intact over other, more expendable, parts. Who needs situational awareness or an understanding of basic tactics when your undead minions can do standup?
Can't wait for the Vahzilok/Banished Pantheon All Dead Comedy Tour. Those guys rot... I mean rock. -
Some of us newer types were apt enough to read the Wiki before running through those missions. It did take me about five minutes to find the tunnel entrance in the Arachnos base, though.

Quote:How'd you get a villain in Kings Row? HAX!!I don't have the screen of it uploaded to Photobucket yet, but I came across a odd thing while outside the station in Kings Row: there was a reflection of my villian's hand in the water!
Has anything similar happened before to others? Or is my case just an oddity? -
