Hey there,
Just read about this superteam and rolled my Fire/Rad toon on Union - 'Thousand Suns'. I've costumed according to the original post and I'll be sure to hunt down the most recent build befor eI level much further.
My problem is I'm an Aussie with two small kids, so my play time is a little restricted... any other aussies out there who'd be up for teaming most nights?
Also, I've done a bind (I forget where it came up in the thread) for use on the Superteam channel - just level and toon name, like this:
"/bind ] beginchat /send "Superteam" [$level:$name] "
*EDIT* don't include the quotation marks at the start and end of the line, they are only there to show the trailing space ^_^
Include the trailing space at the end or not as you prefer, I just thought it might be handy for some - I promised Mad Mud I would post it.

Okay, how about this build? Major changes:
* Went with Fire epic
* Added in Assault and Tactics
* Took Haste a lot earlier
* Six-slotted controls
* Added Hover in case IR drops mid leap and for knockback defense
And to be honest at the end of the build I was looking for things to do with spare slots...

I figured on hibernate for a panic button in case things went really badly.

My plan was to immob/smoke or cinders and then drop loads of bonfires for containment + DoT... of course if knockback overrides immob, that wont work. bonfire could also be useful as a pseudo-slick, knocking back mobs trying to melee.

- I would recommend taking Assault/Tactics for kins to make sure your powers don't miss much (I would drop 2 of Bonfire, Smoke or ID to get them). If not, make sure you have 2 Acc on those that need a To Hit check.

I thought about ice, but I play an ice/ice dom and need a break from the ice visual/audio.

In my latest rash of 'alt-itis', I toyed with a build for Fire/Kin. It seemed to me that the DoT would be very useful, and having played an Illu/Rad to the low twenties I was looking for something with a little more AoE control.
My goal is to play this toon exclusively in PvE, preferably duoed or teamed.
However, I haven't played a Kinetics build before. So after reading up a little this is the build I came up with. I'm seeking any and all advice on power picks and slotting, since most of these powers are new to me.

My long term goal is to lock down mobs and lay ice storm/hot feet on them while my Imps and teammates go to town. Throw in a few Transference and a Fulcrum Shift and Robert's your father's brother.
* This is a post-respec build, I'd most likely take leaping pre-28 and respec it out with IR.

Well I've certainly received a lot of good advice in a very short amount of time.
Hopefully this toon will provide me with a good tanking experience; I've had terrible ones so far, so didn't count them when I said new to tanking. I should have said "new to tanking *properly*".
Hopefully I'll soon be out there having fun tanking 8-person teams. Assuming any of you are awake! (Aussie timezone aura)

I know, I agonized over leaving healing flames out... I was really struggling to get travel powers and stamina into a survivable build. Back to the drawing board I guess.
I originally left whirling hands out and took the whole kick-tough-weave-acrobatics route starting at 22. Would you recommend acrobatics at 20 followed by stamina at 22 and then the rest?
I was aiming at 0.2 or lower cost... what's a good level to have toggle costs at?

Hey there, long time lurker making my first build post - so please be gentle...
I went with leaping/fighting for extra def, energy mastery for added accuracy.
I'm looking for suggestions on slotting, power picks, and general tanking advice since I am very new at tanking.
I've never done a respec trial yet, so this is just a build from scratch after reading about various tanking pools/secondaries.
Left out:
energy punch - less attacks means more room for toggles
healing flames - hopefully there'll be a healer about
temperature protection - not enough room/slots
stun - less worried about disorient than toggles
burn - break frees are my friend
fiery embrace - not a /fire build
Left in:
consume/stamina/conserve - end worries
blazing aura/taunt/whirl - holding aggro
hasten - makes build up work more often (mmm...)
focused accuracy - I hate missing
I'm aware my slotting is probably rubbish, all I know is one acc for single target, two for AoE.
My goal as a tanker is to hold aggro and provide some DoT with a view towards laying the smackdown on bosses with Build Up + ET + TF later in the game.
